21:18 Well as the Among Us "Academy", have to add commentary here and there. And watching this meeting back in light of what Courtilly said this week, it really struck home how this lobby tends to take uncertain clears as gospel. What I've noticed:
a) Whoever claims a solo clear first gets the benefit of the doubt, sometimes way too much - e.g. Courtilly in this video
b) Dual clears "Steve can clear Koji and vice versa" are basically never questioned
c) The person left out is often framed and voted out. Although I believe certain people in this situation can talk themselves out e.g. Hafu would say "I'm down to be sussed" and play another round - in fact I struggle to imagine she gets voted out like Scott does here.
Anyway, keen to hear your thoughts on the way the Morning Lobby "Clears" people - compared to e.g. Junk Lobby/Speedy Lobby or the sweaty 5up/Stellar Lobbies etc or even your own lobbies
Yeah I think it's CRAZY that Hafu thought she had narrowed it down to only being Scott. You can get to other places on the map more quickly than people think -- Courtilly proved that here. And when you add in lying, it complicates clears much more.
One small thing about Courtilly's clear: she asked who was in bottom decontamination BEFORE Hafu said she was, it didn't happen in the order you said in the video.
Still, it's a bad clear for the reason you said (she still got the kill xd). I like the analysis part of the videos!
my thoughts are: Scott said he got in comms, fixed it then the body was right there. Court took 5 seconds to get to admin. If i were Hafu, thinking about how Kimi didnt say she saw a grey bean going down, i wouldnt suspect Court, because its like "oh, she just proved she was in admin and by the way Kimi and Scott are talking this JUST happened, so its not her" and then they got the 2 pairs clearing each other. Since there was 3 killer actions that round, 2 kills by Court and 1 clean by Scott, if Hafu believes the 2 pairs are together, Scott would be a good vote either way. You may not like her train of thoughts, but Hafu susses are very frequently right. Well thats just my opinion anyway
i see you could argue that because there was a janitor, the pairs should be more sus, but the fact that every round Steve and Koji/ Junk and Kara were together is like... The janitor wouldn't make it too obvious that they are walking in pairs, right?

but omg Hafu and DK are so right - he rarely fakes tasks or attempts to act crew as an imposter or other killer.
He is very bad with his movement. He really move bad and it is a very easy tell. What can they do? at some points, I feel they just play it even when they know it is him. I find that hard. I can't fake not knowing he is a bad egg.
Most of the lobby is skilled and/or funny. Junk is neither. It's time for him to go.
@@JW-ln9ln At some point, y'all have got to stop suggesting that members of a friend group leave a lobby that is friend based.
This lobby in particular is very dependent on a select number of regulars saying yes, which now includes Junk, and if too many aren't available, then the lobby struggles to happen at all because, as DD constantly reiterates, "nobody wants to play."
At the very least, appreciate the people who show up, if for nothing else.
@JW-ln9ln I don't think he needs to go but he should at least try to understand the movement thing lol. He seems convinced that people are sussing him unfairly when it's perfectly fair to sus that kind of movement. Even if Junk does the same pathing while crew, he should at least understand why it looks sus and be more aware of it / do it less often.
He needs to stop complaining about it because he's wrong and he needs to learn why. 😅 Maybe if he watched more games from Dumbdog, 5up, steve, janet or dk he would understand better. Because those players are good at noticing strange impostor-like movement. It's easier to see when other impostors do it.
@@cajah88regarding “nobody wants to play” I’ve always had the impression that the Junk regulars - Junk, Courtilly, Kara, Skadj were always “down to play” - why else do they play Among Us in multiple other lobbies during the week too.
19:33 also the irony of Hafu and everyone accepting the “Duo Clears” is there was a Janitor Sweep that round!!! Seems like no one picked up on it and were only focused on Kimi walking up to Scott and the body.
But with a Janitor in play, two way clears should become even more sus - eg Koji and Steve, Junk and Kara - both pairs should be sus from Hafu’s POV (cause she doesn’t see Junk/Kara in spec when she walks in).
I see so May 2023 is before Mayor reveals were a thing.
If on DK still did his classic "There's your first pair"
I love how Courtilly knows the exact strategy to manipulate the clears in this lobby, uses that against her impostor partner and still wins the game. Massive flex!
Haven’t kept up with the Junk lobbies - interesting how they have different ways of clearing each other in those lobbies!
hafu is always so focused on herself and why shes clear she doesnt think about the people clearing her. she was right courtilly had to be in office to know she was in lower decontamination, but she just took that at face value because it cleared hafu
I think it’s because courtilly mentioned bottom decontam when hafu ask if anyone had seen her go into spec. It was pretty soft w because it’s a 50/50 on the doors she used.
But office isn’t far from comms but I think that she thought the kill was fresher than it was IMO.

Just timing wise it would be impossible for Hafu to kill Steve, flash and run to button. Edit: actually timing wise it's close, I think it's possible to flash last second and run to button. Which would be a sick big brain play... IF they didn't already know Court was bad. 😂 Also just rewatching that last bit, Court was in Koji's vision (before she flashed) so idk why he didn't see her.
I'm pretty sure Koji was only stressed at the end because he thought Hafu was sus of him, which threw him off because it was so obviously courtily he thought it was being tricked
@layab7049 I mean yes, I picked up on that later. However even after Hafu said "I'm voting for Court" Koji still looked unsure and wasn't voting immediately, indicating he thought Hafu might be bad still. He clearly second guessed himself for a few seconds. 😅 Like he said he managed to gaslight himself somehow.

@@AmongUsAcademy Except they rewatched it because anytime someone makes any kind of claim on one of your videos you catch an attitude with them so they went back to make sure they were remembering the proper perspective not remembering what steve could see. Not because they didnt see it the first time.

6:16 Cmon Junk, that is super sus movement. I think Kara, and now DK, and after the game Hafu, provide valuable feedback.
I know they play for fun, but it's not really fun having a low imp/neutral winrate and losing from an aspect of gameplay you can fix. I'd personally:
a) Change my pathing a little bit to be less sus as impostor and/or
b) When I'm standard crew, start doing sus things like 'double steps' etc. to "balance my range" i.e. "Sykkuno always sus" strategy if you can't keep clean killer pathing.
I agree, part of Town of Us is learning from your mistakes and becoming less predictable.
Junk's also right that dk is not crew though. Crew jester is annoying. Stop clearing yourself!

Thanks for putting this together with different POVs. The commentary helps a lot especially for someone who doesn’t follow everyone’s stream and it explains quite a lot of the interactions and thought process the crew goes through.
I think one thing to take into account is for the people in the "core" lobby who've been playing together for years, and have spent time in-person at this point, they kinda know each other's tells and imposter voices. They may not realize it, but subconsciously these "clears for no reason" make a little bit of sense to them even if they're not sure why. Just speculating but to them "Yeah so-and-so doesn't sound imposter-like right now" and that's based on their personal gut-check and instinct (even if it's WRONG sometimes). But it can make absolutely ZERO sense to newer people to the lobby like Kara and Court who just don't know them well enough yet.
The problem is that these gut feelings are wrong just as often as they're right, yet they keep relying on them.
@@eldonlol1623try next time watching a game but skipping the rounds, and just listen to the audio of the meeting. At least I can pickup verbal tells eg Hafu (and not just the stretching) has very impostor way of talking - even DK calls her out a lot on it.
Try it yourself and see if you do better than chance!!

Yeah I never got when certain neutral killers in the lobby would immediately kill the Impostor after the Impostor kills. Why? Leave an extra killer to frame and vote out later on, and just avoid pathing with them in future rounds.
Eliminating one impostor early isn’t in the neutral killers interests

Going to be honest, your commentary in this video is the kind of thing that contributes a lot to the kind of comments in these videos that DK literally just ranted about. Sure they may be making a mistake in the way they play, but ultimately it's up to them to determine if they're having fun and/or address problematic behavior between themselves.
Calling out things in how they play the game, mistakes and all, that you dislike is exactly the toxic behavior that I think they find unwelcome.

I really do appreciate the effort you put into these compilations. I stopped watching Among Us/Morning Lobby for many months/years and this has been a regular source of relaxation for me since I discovered this channel, and I know even the members of the morning lobby appreciate your effort as well (DK said as much in the previously mentioned rant.)
I've just been troubled by the amount of toxicity regularly in the comments of these videos, and to see you do commentary I find similar was concerning so I wanted to call it out.

I think there’s a clear distinction between eg what Courtilly says “The morning lobby rely too much on shaky clears to accuse someone” to “Hafu’s a dumb ***** for voting out Smajor”. If you think about what I said, I’m literally just rewording the Courtilly clip - which I assume you’re fine with the contents of.
People are always gonna have opinions and “backseat gaming”. Although I understand where you’re coming from, I think constructive and respectful comments on gameplay elements are fair game.

Well, another reason why Hafu clears Court there is because Hafu always plays for her own clear first and then reads the other clears second. Because she was still focused on getting her own clear it took away some of her focus on potential killers.
Loved your little commentary/aside about the misclears, and the flashback to Courtilly talking about it. It’s so interesting to analyze these lobbies. Excellent editing as always. Thanks for putting these together!

This comment comes from a place of love and is simply meant to be a bit of constructive criticism. I certainly don’t wanna shit on Junk cuz he seems like a genuinely great guy.
However, I will say that, even though I’m pretty sure he’s a bit too young to actually be a Boomer, he _does_ have some “Boomer Moments” from time to time such as this, in which he gets frustrated over something he tends to not fully understand and then just kinda gives up. 🤷🏼

I think the 2 way clears are accepted more in this lobby because there is a culture of not clearing your imposter partner because it goes wrong so easily.
If you try to clear your partner by saying they were in lab with you but someone earlier saw them in O2 and that getting lab was either bizarre or impossible then the crew can catch on to both imposters in 1 lie.
It seems like it would be easy to just clear your partner…but it’s not that easy really.

because it's always bugged so sometimes they can only transport some but not all the remaining players. That's not how it's supposed to work but it's a mod so it doesn't work perfectly

Courtily said bottom decontam first 20:26 so if anything it would be Hafu latching onto the claim. But then whoever was really in bottom decontam would counter her. So Hafu and Courtily would have to both be lying for their claims to be false. Or an extremely lucky guess into Hafu confirming it. I actually think Kimi is more suss here in terms of killing during coms and walking back up soon as they're fixed. Then you accuse the crewmate that was there.
Its hard to have 100% clears if people werent pretty much going hand in hand. I feel like the morning lobby clears are like assumptions that they dont question coz if they did they would have to play more seriously and they do it to socialize and entertain so it aint a big deal to me.

It’s just what happens when try hards, well stop trying as hard. like they all are great players and obviously care about the game (some more than others lol) but they have been playing for four years, i don’t blame them for assuming clears more often now a days. Plus it makes more interesting lobbies when imposters do get cleared because of the groupings!! Although it does feel it hurts the imposters more often but i wouldn’t know for sure.

Would like to see a decreased report range in the game..maybe body should be in vision?
More importantly, I feel they should add a cooldown to the report button (if clicked when no report available) to eliminate 'spamming report'
that's not reporting range, that's desync caused by high ping. Koji lives in England while Junk and Kimi are both U.S. so Kimi's body appeared there for Koji even though it was further down on Junk's screen

Objective POV? Every single editing choice, unless the video is just an unedited clip from Steve's perspective only, is made to craft a narrative. This is an entertainment channel, and if the commentary makes it more entertaining (to his intended audience), then it is appropriate. If you don't want to watch that, then go watch twitch vods.

@@AmongUsAcademy Notice how this guy implies Courtilly was cheating as an imposter, something that was previously stated by other commenters to be IMPOSSIBLE. "Gumi has low imposter winrate because she can't cheat when she's an imposter. Knowing the roles only helps as crew" but now Courtilly is winning as imposter because "she knows everyone's roles". I guess certain "rules" apply differently depending on the streamer. Makes perfect sense 😵💫
