The first penalty vs France he was steely eyed and looking directly forwards towards the goal while the ref was preparing to blow the whistle... the second, he was looking at the floor. I knew he was going to miss.

You just forgot one thing, Kane's whole career was an accident (and I am a Tottenham fan and Member). The only reason Kane started playing at Tottenham was that Soldado, the only striker Andre Vilas Boas had, couldn't even kick a ball straight, much less score a goal. I have no idea about what went wrong, but Soldado, in all my years of football, is probably the worse player I ever saw (I think he sort of rebuilt his career back in Spain). Without any capable striker, there was only Kane, so he started playing a bigger role until he became the striker we all know. If not for Soldados's implosion, Kane would have been another failure of the Spurs academy and would have probably been sold to some lower-league team (I remember that Stevenage wanted to "buy" him, and only Kane refusing the move prevented it from happening).
    Cheers.

Kane is not a player which inspires me massively or i am a fan of. But i really like him and i have a huge respect for him. I think Tottenham's success is linked to Kane staying there for so long. Where would this team be without him, is the better question to ask. I think some people just don't have enough luck in life. Statistically everyone should have an equal amount of luck an unfortune but out of experience it isn't the case for some people. For me he doesn't need a single title to not let me forget him ever!

Very few players in the past decade are like Kane, you seem to judge him only by his striker attributes while he is also one of the best playmakers in the Premier League; a feat which can only be found in 2 other forwards in the other leagues. You also seem to see every negative side to his career but give no value to how he has been able to make Tottenham a consistent top 6 team in is tenure as captain and playmaker/striker. His talent as both things was always a hinderance building up his career as he was seen as only a striker until Poch and was focused even more on it under Mou. The seasons he was looking to break records he was shamed for being a bit greedy over his comrades, yet people now see it as being lacking in ambition. The way English people see Tottenham is the way everyone in the world has always seen the English National Team... it's a shame that Kane only played for two teams that will never give him the silverware that people need to value a layer nowadays.

To me this video highlighted the fact that there is a huge problem in how most people judge a player: No matter how good a player is, they will always judge him on what his TEAM is winning.
As you said yourself, you can literally win a golden boot in a competition and have nobody even care about it and instead cheer for the striker who might have been personnally worst but played in a better team.
To be fair you could make the argument that if you are in the better team to begin with, then you might deserve it or they would replace you, but still, it's often going too far and people literally don't care about how good the player actually is and only look at the clubs trophy to make a judgement.

and work defenders in the box. they can still use the forwards as wingers and

He has been unlucky with injuries and was daft to sign such a long contract at Spurs when he did. Levy is notorious for being difficult to deal with and Kane has been stuck at a club that spends little in comparison to their rivals and are not known for winning silverware. Kane needs to move to Bayern to finally get the recognition he deserves. He was absolutely robbed when he didn't win the Player of the Year in 20/21 when he had the most goals and assists. Finally, “overcoming his own limitations” Kane is a world class striker…as deemed by his fellow professionals and pundits. Considered one of the top 3 centre forwards in the world.

He is definitely more unlucky than a bottler imo. I think its affected by some 'label' that Spurs have tendency to be second best as well. Kane actually made the team more respectable. No Spurs fan, and probably not even rival fans will consider Spurs a better team without him. But that is sport, and casual fans would always label things the way they want.
I think that UCL 18/19 final actually a good point of this. We actually overperformed at that time. Had we be called 'Leicester City', 'Villareal', or 'Ajax', we'd probably be praised rather than being called 'bottlers'. Spurs actually didn't spend at all that year, aside from the injury plague. People also called Kane a bottler despite Sissoko was the one that gave the pen and changed the game.
It's the same with England, the team was at fault as well, people are going to remember the missed pen, but Kane actually balanced that team. He is the best, or probably the only False 9 England had. He played deep so the wings (Saka, Foden) had that 1vs1 they excelled at. Had he not in the game, there probably wont be any pens. You should look that backline. Maguire, Walker, Stones, Shaw, no one is world-class, and only one (Stones) who could be called elite player. This means England needed more MF to shield them and who's doing the carryjob lifting the midfield creativity? You know the man.

put Harry Kane in the Liverpool first 11 instead of Firmino in 2017 and Liverpool would win at least 3 PL titles since then. Tottenham is a bottler club, Harry Kane is not a bottler. England's been bottling international tournaments since 1966. They are bottlers.
None of the two sides failures comes down to Harry Kane.
Heck, put him in the Solskjær team that finished second, and even United would win a PL-title. And they are bottlers.
Disclaimer: I am a United supporter hence my view on my own clubs capabilities is obscured by this fact. This might cause illusions of grandieur or dilirium as United supporters since the early 90's have been accustomed to constant success. I think he's a good player who needs a good team that suits him. What's sad is that the media goes rough on these players for their failures, which could end up adding more pressure and demotivating them, resulting in having a bad performance, If he actually ends up in Bayern (Don't think it'll happen) he will probably win many Bundesliga titles or other titles as well, I just think he's in a team that isn't great enough to win trophies at least. Let's hope Richarlison can shine as he does for the National Team, perhaps that could grand Tottenham a win.

I generally love your videos but I have to admit, this was disappointing, allow me to explain why. When you compare Kane to other players like Aguero, Salah, etc. you never mention the team and teammates. Tottenham excpet for Eriksen has never had any high caliber player to provide assists, Kane literally had to do that as well. This is why his playstyle evolved to dropping deep to get touches on the ball and providing room for the wingers to close inside. Also, you don't mention how insanely good his passing and assisting is, he literally finished a season in the Premier League as top scorer AND top assists. Please to you and the people who call him a bottler, do actually look at all the facts before judging a player, very bad take sadly. Hope the next videos are a bit more accurate, again not saying all this with hate or anything, just dislike it when a player is painted in the wrong picture.

I mentioned Baggio and Batistuta because they are top level players and legends of the game who may not have certain trophies to show for it.
Even if Harry ends his career right now without any premier league titles, the league golden boots and the world cup golden boot (even with 4 penalties) is something that most players will not get. We cans see this when Keane get's injured the weight falls on Son, and if Son get's a card shit hits the fan. Sure the aforementioned clubs have shit loads of money, but Tottenham doesn't have to buy a 40 mil midfielder who had a good season in Portugual or the Dutch League. You can balance experience buys, with young blood and youth academy. The team just lacks that extra step. Let's not kid ourselves, the team is one of the most profitable in football. Of course this might not be in time for Keane, but you cannot possibly throw the weight of EVERYTHING on the guy who is scoring more than the club should. Meantime, the quiet but actually better Scholes is been shifted around, just because he is too nice to say, hello, Zidane said I am the best, yah? 😅
That's the real problem with English football to me - the real arrogance of the players. If anything, Southgate should be praised for molding a real team spirit for the national team. No comments on Southgate's tactics too (I dont know much about tactics after 2010ish, ha)
P.S. A comment here said that Kane's story should have been an inspiration instead of this negativity. So true. This video is likely coming from someone who has never played actual football, as much as I liked his video on Batistuta too. The thing you're completely ignoring is that it was his decision to stay at Tottenham all those years. He would have had his pick of PL, La Liga or Bundesliga clubs. He could have won many teoohies but he chose to stay loyal to Tottenham. That makes him a legend, and especially for us Englishmen and for Tottenham fans he will be remembered as a legend of the sport whether he qins a trophy or not. That kind of loyalty is rare nowadays. Another legendary English footballer who similarly chose loyalty over money and fame is Matt Le Tissier. Played for Southampton for most of his career, who are a yoyo club. Didn't get as many chances to represent England probably for that reason but he was a prolific goalscorer and a phenomenal penalty taker, only ever missing one penalty in his whole career. Had he been playing at a club like Arsenal, Liverpool or United at the time he'd be known as one of the permier league's best players ever and would have close to double the goal contributions I'm sure.

As an Arsenal supporter I may be ex-communicated but I think Tottenham’s lack of staying power down the stretch of a full season has been so notoriously sub-par for so long, it becomes endemic without the players even sensing they’re destined to be nothing more than it.
Alas, they’re destined to only ever be bridesmaids because they’ve inherited the stank of perennial under-achievement
I know the phenomenon first hand being invested in a team which went 62 years between Premierships and shat the bed so many times between one and the other that I’m carrying some psychological scar tissue - 100%.
But I digress… Harry’s not the liability he’s been painted as. He just won’t get to fuck the Prom Queen.
I think they should have had a contingency in place based on Kane already having netted a PK.
There’s no way there isn’t much more pressure on Kane to double-down on PK’s in a World Cup semi (given their track record) versus sizing up any of the other main attacking options and seeing which has the glint in their eye.
It would have been ballsy move, but not without precedent ie. Graham Arnold swapping out his GK’s for the shoot-out vs Peru.

KAne should join Ludogorets Razgrad - they're winning every year. Finally can win first trophy.

His goal scoring and assist records in the most competitive league speak for themselves.
Yes it would be nice to see more of him in the Champions League but the way football is moving eventually they might as well award the trophies straight to the wealthiest owners.

It's because he plays for Spurs. I doubt any GOAT like Messi, Zidane, Ronaldo etc would fare much better in that department if they were stuck with such a team. Granted, Gerrard was able to guide a pretty average Liverpool team to Champions League success in 2005.

you can blame kane for missing the 2nd penalty, but your on a team with, saka, foden, sterling, grealish, bellingham, rice, rashford and engand doesn't score an openplay goal. obviously they weren't all on starting but they were all in the game at one point.
