- Here's a weird, obscure, and fucked-up game from my childhood, Adiboo Magical Playland!
This obscure title is kinda like an Activity Center game in which you go around and do random stuff to play more activities.
For example, you need to grow flowers, tomatoes, and stuff to get more stuff for the kitchen, as those items are limited.
As this is obscure, there's barley any information about this game over the internet.
All I know is that is a French series that started on the PC probably around 1999 or 2000.
Out of all of the games, this was the only one that the US got as far as I know. There's probably more of them, but this is the game I grew up with as a kid.
In the UK, it was published by Serria. Over here, it was published by Knowledge Adventure.
In terms of differences, the UK and US versions have different voice actors.
Probably to stay closer to home than most other games did at that time.
In terms of voice actors, I only know that Lara Jill Miller did the voice of Adiboo in this version.
Who you may recognized as Kari from the English Dub of Digimon Adventure and 02.
She was a teacher at the time, so it made sense I guess.
There's an entire Let's Play of the UK version uploaded by Mr. Nutt, and the US version was uploaded by Zeca. So you guys can check out those videos for stuff that I didn't show off in this video.

Thank you so much for posting this, really takes me back. I still remember sitting in an inexpensive rickety wooden chair playing this game for hours in the dead of night, with nothing visible around me but the illuminating glow of the C.R.T computer monitor. From planting flowers to playing brickbreaker, this game is something I'll remember playing for as long as I'm around.

Holy shit, I completely forgot about this game for years and years.
Last week I saw something that reminded me of the boys face and called my mum specifically to ask her if she remembered what I used to play as a kid. Damn, this takes me back.
+GingerBagels No joke dude same thing for me, i called and asked if she had any of my old games and she did! Its crazy how a pc game can bring back old memories
Oh man...i remember spending so much time on the Story building mode in this...takes me back..
My friend who grew up in France was telling me about this game when we brought up old kids games, and I didnt remember the name so I assumed I didn't know it, but then he google imaged it and.... HOLY CRAP I LOVED THIS GAME AS A KID??? Turns out guys, that this is a French produced game and that's why it is so obscure here in the states. This is friggin wild!
Dude this game was so incredible, every element of it was so great. You could save pictures of everything and there was a tonne of customisation. I used to love making good cakes lol
all i want is to play this game again, but like you said there is hardly ANY information about it on the internet

The idea for this game is like if somebody was playing a lot of Humongous Entertainment Games and then had a fever dream, then decided to make a childrens game based around it.
My grandma had this game on her computer, good God I forgot all about it.

did the sign with numbers and letters ever do something? Adiboo mentions it but its unclickible
Mike Gillis The sign with the numbers on it leads to another section of the game called "Mazes, Numbers, and Puzzles".
It's actually an expansion that came on a 2nd disc when it came out here in America.
As far as I remember, it's the only real educational part of the game and in order to access it you have to put the CD in the 2nd DVD drive or in place of the regular adiboo magical playland CD.
sp19047 Wow I would of never thought of that as a kid. I recently played the game again and it honestly does not hold up well by its self. The expansion might solve that problem, but nothing beats Putt-putt saves the zoo or Back yard baceball

I can't remember which mine was... Do you live in the UK? I do, but I'm too internet to even recognise if something uses general american or received pronunciation unless someone draws my attention to it.
