It's a good idea to test fit the bearings onto your crankshaft before installation- they should slide all the way on with very little resistance, that way you can put the case halves together multiple times in case the number of shims needed is different from the number you had before.
Mine has the ZAE80 has massive power and reliable, I did not know I could buy an eBay 80(66)cc motor with a balanced crank, paid 125$ with some new parts and quality built, Lasted me 7,500 miles and I'm just doing a Rebuilt top end, with porting/matching the transfers/intake/exhaust. I do trust my supplier, eBay trusted with over thousands of 5 stars reviews. Let's see how much power it makes, was doing 36mph tops, with stock exhaust and carb, only mag wheels and triple tree suspension, other misc Motorcycle parts too. Your kidding right? What’s an oil ring? Lol Do you mean the oil SEAL? The flame never touches the SEAL and the seal is made to withstand standard engine operating temps which exceed 350 degrees, I only heated the case to a little over 200. It also doesn’t matter if the grease is cooked or not, even though it’s NOT, because a 2-stroke is lubricated by the oil mixed in the gas NOT the grease, duh!
My crank case is almost apart it wiggles at the piston side of the case but at the back where the sprocket and clutch is its crazy stiff and it looks like someone slammed the bareing in with a hammer any help would be greatly appreciated???????? I need this case split thank you!!
MZMiami on eBay but their sleeves are too thin, no good. Check zedamotorsports.com and contact Robert Bianchi, there's other people I know that have done it just not sure if they still do it now. Ask your question in the Facebook group TeamRebelbikes and I'll link you with a couple people I know that have made them in the past.
Thank You. Will check it out. As cheap as a new jug is it's not a real issue but I live in the High Desert and I'm thinking a sleeved jug would take the heat a bit better.
you have to be kidding. when the bearing on the crank goes out witch it will eventualy how do you remove the crank pin? main bearings you got should fit good no glue needed. and if one day they need replaced you wont destroy things getting them out. the added weight of the wield threw it all off.
Whatever affect the added weight from welding is is minuscule, my motor spins over 10krpm with no vibration. In theory your right but in practice it runs great
He never used any glue on his bearings he only added a little gasket maker to sesls which is a great idea sense the machining on the holes are poor from China

Good job buddy. I love 2 strokes. I stroked out my 99 Honda elite with a 50mm crank and bore. It’s bad to the bone. Thanks for the video.

Did you vaporizer the rubber case seal with the torch or what?
Already answered that question in the comments below
So the oil ring is now cooked with the blowtorch and any grease in the bearing probably as well, with the residual heat of the casing...

By the way this motor is still running strong and fast
.... what the hell is an oil ring? 😂🤦♂️🤷♂️☠

Im about to just break it apart with a crow bar so im just going to leave it alone till i get a possible reply
do the outer seals have to be removed from the crank bearings?
No, in fact they need to be left on because they will leak like hell due to the pressure. Behind the magnet is a major problem area.
Hey I took drive gear off mines. And see nothing but rubber where bearings should be.
Tosh James join my Facebook group TeamRebelbikes and post a picture of your motor and we will do our best to help you out.
why not just toss the case halves in a 250 degree oven?
2 reasons I don't use an oven:
1- it takes longer, a torch is much faster
2- it makes the whole house smell like chemicals.
fair enough. thanks for the reply!
edit: what make are those fat bearing web case halves? china doll?
Who does sleeved Cylinders now days ?

Get a 7/8cc Fred head and an NGK b8hs spark plug to help keep it cool. Run 91/93 octane fuel and you shouldn't have issues with detonation
sander sindell What do you mean they are too thin? I just bought their 48mm. I still think it will last longer than a stock cylinder.

Main crank bearing takes forever to fail. Never happened to me before. So when or if it fails, I'll just replace the crank

Is bikeberry a good place to get a engine from?
No. Bikeberry is the same company as gasbike.net. Bad customer service. Get the best engine kits from Californiamotorbikes.com
