Chrissy’s untimely passing was one of the biggest losses in the Australian rock music industry in the last decade next to Doc Neeson, Jon English and Malcolm Young!

There is much conjecture about her year of birth. It may be 1954.
That's weird. Cos I swear I read somewhere that Chrissy went to Sunbury.... Although it might not have been Sunbury 72 cos obviously Chrissy would've been 13 then .....
@@darrenjray Well, i have found some articles stating that she was born in 1955, heck Charley Drayton’s Facebook update status on the seventh anniversary of Chrissy’s passing stated that she was born in the year “195X”

Just a treat to see Chrissy. So sad. I was privilaged to see the Divinyls thrice in the 80s and once in the 90s. The lady was a lovely legend!
I saw The Divinyls in concert in Sydney. God they were good. Chrissy Amphlett was electrifying. She had a huge presence, she took over everything. An unbelievable performer.
Great show, R.I.P. Chrissy, She was such a good performer on the show, what fun. The guy playing that stick instrument was fantastic He needs to make recordings!

Lets be real. The only person at her age that looks that good skin wise has had a stroke and inside for the last 25yrs. No wrinkles. Anyone can look younger with enough GAF and money. But Chrissie always looked good. Age has zero to do with it. That is makeup etc. She has massive appeal and that would shine through even age.
Even though Chrissy passed in 2013, her legacy lives on. Yes, she was attractive (and bright too!) a lot of '80s teenagers thought she was hot back then when Divinyls "Science Fiction" came out. I thought she was cool. May she R.I.P.

Miff you were in heaven. Wow. Saw Divinals in Melbourne as a 16 or 17 year old, then twice in WA at the generator and the Raffles in the 8os. Looking back am stoked I was so lucky.
Perth had a pretty good pub circuit for bands back then . Generator, raffles ,Warwick, sundowner, overflow ,leisure inn, Sandringham, Charles and probably a few more I can't remember atm 🤣
Chrissy Amphlett was one of my musical and personal heroes. Diviynls could rock with the best. Losing her was a damn shame!!
i turned 13 in 1981 and chrissy amphlett became my ideal for a woman; alluringly powerful, intriguingly beautiful, positively self-assured, and in touch with herself.

I saw the Divinyls at a time in Brisbane where you saw everyone at the Calamvale Hotel which was about a 7 minute walking distance from my home.

If only modern medicine in America had of picked up her cancer? To have ultrasounds mammograms. and not pick up the lump that she was feeling. I’m lost for words.😭😭😭😭
We have modern medicine in Australa as well and even world leading research and surgeries in some areas, as some other nations do too.
Unfortunately Chrissy already was debilitated by MS and cancer treatment would have incapacitated her more and her end of life experiences would have been of less quality.
