- In this video I show you an edible plant that I did not know, and that has greatly surprised me due to its adaptability, fast growth and productivity. From 4 fruits, I have managed to obtain more than 200, which have allowed me to be self-sufficient and have a large surplus to feed my chickens. I have allocated 10% of the harvest to replant the fruits.
Sechium edule ("white chayote") is a climbing cucurbit, of which the fruits (preferably cooked), leaves, seeds, buds and roots are eaten. Native to Central and South America, it is highly adaptable to environmental conditions, although it does not tolerate cold or drought.

Solo un consejo saludable.
No envuelvas los tubérculos en papel aluminio para cocinarlos.
Mejor enrollado en una hoja de cualquier planta y enterrado cerca de las ascuas del fuego.
El aluminio es tóxico.
