    Really cool series Zack. Having learned shaping by myself and from watching videos like yours, i really enjoyed it and there are a bunch of little tips which help loads and aren't necessarily obvious. Like for example turning the rail from the apex upwards and not to use anything soft before they're done. Great tips. Looks like a sick board btw and looking forward to the glassing series. Yeeww 🤙 greetings from india

    Great videos man,
    How do you do if you want vee instead of concave ?

    • @zack_flores
      @zack_flores  6 місяців тому

      It depends on what you want the board to do. Concave reduces the surface area of the bottom of the board considering the direction that water flows which results in less friction/drag. V or belly dose the opposite which increases drag. They also effect the way the board respond while surfing. In general concave is fast in boards that are for pumping and best fitted with twin, thruster or quad set-ups. V or belly create excess drag which can be beneficial for single fins.

      Go check out the 7.55 min mark on part 6 . I do that process then use a sanding block to Finnish of the board.
