Ngl, this is probably the best rendition of the main system shock theme in existence. Like, objectively. I've listened to a lot of them, and they're generally good, but none even come close to this one. This-well, it's the kind of thing I'd expect from a System Shock film score. Seriously. You ought to be proud of your work here, man. You've made something really special.

The buildup is absolutely genius. This is the exact style I had hoped the remake would have for the last 3 years and it's so disappointing they went for the vibe they did. It just doesn't do the original any justice like this does.
i personally like the more industrial vibe the remake had, fits more with the more horror oriented version of system shock, although a soundtrack like the original would've been cool.
@@ali_m_ The industrial vibe sounds good, but it doesn't quite fit the setting in my opinion. I find that the soundtrack would have worked better in a more brutal setting like dead space. The system shock setting deserves an experimental techno cyberpunk vibe, uncanny and energetic. You could make the argument that that's what they did with the remake, but they went in a boring and cliche direction in my opinion.
Don’t agree respectfully imo . But I do wish this cover was put into the remake. As the theme/intro music. And this is definitely the music I consider to be definitive of the system shock series as a whole

There are such problems. I'm trying to improve the sound. Thanks. But I don't think the footage from trailer of the remake is total crap. It's more a matter of tastes and opinions. It's stupid to even argue about it. Yes, I know that the remake is extremely controversial. And yes, I know that Nightdive Studios have shitted their pants multiple times, a lot of times to be sure, so has Warren Spector with SS3.

The opening cutscene for the remake has something very close to this, however this has the OG voices and original flavour just 🤌
