you are a life saver. I see all these solutions about drivers, reinstalling/installing etc like all this time I accidentally must have pressed fn lock where I did not even pay attention to it. my camera says there is no default app associated, but I went through and set the default app as Camera app. however I keep getting the same error in the troubleshooter....
1. Type "cmd" in windows search bar
2. Right click on "Command Prompt"

Didn't work for me and I have an Acer. Norton updated my drivers and I guess the camera drivers that they installed are not compatible with this Acer camera. I reverted back to the previous drivers and it didn't work. I tried everything you suggested and it still didn't work. Is there anything else that I can do?

yoo, i watched some video troubleshooting the same problem, he eventually told me to delete the camera and when i restart my pc check for updates and the camera will be there, i did what he said, deleted the camera, restarted and checked for updates, it didn't come back😢😢, i am trying to reinstall it like you mention in the video, i found my serial number i copied it and pasted it, it says it can't find my product, i made sure i didn't copy it wrong, even copied it manually, still couldn't find my product, please reply

@@DakshSurve-ii9bz well it turned out that the camera wire was loose in my sister's laptop that's why it was not detecting. Otherwise all the things regarding drivers we did should've worked.
@@rockstarrrr service guy told us camera wire was loose(now how tf did that happen!!) and then he reconnected it properly and it's working fine now
