      heck jeah :D hope its bush crafty :D you got me even more hooked on military surplus since its so cheap and durable, of course you toss everything in the corner right after finishing ur military carreer but now i love it all again since its fun and goot food instead of stupid loads of heavy bulky operational needed equipment :D

    I have some experience with weight (77 lbs) for about a solid month day in and day out and let me tell you there is no such thing as comfort with anything over 40 lbs it's just varies in degrees of pain.
    On a side note the channel is king when it comes to diversity of gear i like that you check out both civilian and military gear and things that are on the US market and things that are more used in Europe.
    Keep it up !

      How true. I can see how in just a short time this would wear you down... Day in and day out. Holy hell !! But, perhaps NOT so bad for an Overnight for the mighty & Young... lol. As for me, I look for a ride to the bathroom... lol Peace Lew, Be safe & God bless.

      I still have nightmares of my pack, as a medic I had even more to carry than most. It made a man out of me and my back and shoulders still scream at me for that creation!

    Loved that pack! My woodland camo version got jacked from my camper a half dozen years ago. Still bummed. Heavy; yes. Complicated; not really. Adjustability like you could not imagine; yes! Comfortable; oh, oh so comfortable! :-)

  • @JustBeAdude
    @JustBeAdude 3 роки тому +2

    I was issued in of these and I have to say, being accustomed to humping heavy weight, it does ride rather well. The mess of straps was and way fix, tape up or trim off what isn’t necessary as we did. On the note of weight, anything over 40 pounds just sucks regardless over any long distances. The only variable is how much it sucks on a pain scale.
    Love the reviews. Cheers.

  • @derlisiq4600
    @derlisiq4600 5 років тому +1

    It is a package only to disembark where you carry your complete military equipment which is very heavy and bulky, you only charge it to a nearby target. Then you take it off or change it to a smaller and more comfortable package for attack, reconnaissance, etc. In civil life, it does not help much since most of us do bone trips. I think that such a package would not even serve to evacuate for long periods, because if you carry everything you need the package would be so heavy that you would not walk 2 km with it on top of it. Equally very good review Luke, a package with history.

  • @mindaugaspacesiunas9232
    @mindaugaspacesiunas9232 5 років тому +2

    This pack is so awesome, yes it's heavy but it's super comfortable. I rucked with it weighting 35 kilograms and at the end of the day my shoulder was fine. I have full kit, and I'm that guy who takes everything you need and then some on a hike, but even I couldn't fully load entire system. This system is 9 out of 10, just because it weights a lot. Talking about comfort for me it is equally good or even better then Kifaru fulcrum.

    Luke i have an REi Traverse rising star framm pack, i've had that bag no joke for 20 years and the only thing i have ever needed to fix was the shock cord netting on the outside for sleeping pads and such. For the price i paid for it i can honestly say it would fall under the bomb proof category. 100% waterfroof and it has no rain cover what so ever. I think it was 190 cubic inches.

      They look complicated but are not. I just bought one and can say that at least 65 to 70 percent of the straps are for adjustment . Once adjusted to you you never touch them again. As for weight I can't notice it much , but then again I haven't gone anywhere with it yet.

    I heard of these never seen very good review. I have a Molle 2 woodland camo pack and i thought it had a lot of straps. That pack is winner. I have also have the 3 Day military pack which attaches to my Molle. The 3 day pack I actually use more then the Molle unless I carry a lot of stuff which most I really probably didn't need. Good reviews thanks.

    I was issued the woodland system on my last maritime ops team. Hated using it with the sea kayaks. Had my skies/snow shoes straps on the outside during winter warfare exercises in the German Alps. I agree on your assessment of it being heavy but comfortable. I hated it as being over complicated and went back to my large ALICE ruck. That large ALICE I carried 150 lbs in one during GW1.

    So I happen to own one of these systems, the woodland camo one, with patrol pack, and the fannypack is in desert camo. Came with 5 compression bags,(2 long ones for patrol pack, 2 big ones for rucksack, 1 for daypack) 4 strappacks of various sizes, 2 desert camo waterproof coverings for rucksack and patrol pack. And a booklet that I lost, but I bought it at the San Diego swap meet about 10 years Ago for $200.00!!!used about 10 times, Used it a few months ago and still feels new. Idk how much weight I put in it... it was a lot, plus we were alternating carrying the bear can and a bunch of beers but it makes it easy! I didn't use the patrol pack but apparently it can be attached??? Idk how to do this. If anyone knows, share the knowledge please!
