The tenants need to get together and file a class action lawsuit against the HOA and its board of directors. They would win hands down. The HOA would be responsible for the legal fees as well. Some people don't pay attention until you hit them in the pocket.

They are all renters though. I don't think they could sue the HOA directly. At best they might be able to sue their landlord since they are paying for something the landlord has a say in. If the landlord hasn't been filing complaints with the HOA or otherwise doing their due diligence to get the HOA to do their job then that might be something you could sue the landlord over since you are essentially paying them to do that. And I highly suspect that there is a reason the landlords aren't doing their job in this regard... that a portion of that money is probably making it's way back to them in one form or another. Just the fear of discovery in such a case being put forward might get you a nice payday. Not a lawyer though.

I was leasing and paid to make backyard usable as we hoped to find a home to purchase worth the asking prices for years!!!! So sad because we would have paid for the right house at the right price with the right HOA that was worth it. Now I'm on the east coast and my husband is in northern IN and we are closing a state to buy with less corruption. They lured CA and out of state people in again just like in 2005. We sold a home in 2005 3xs what we paid to see it drop under what we paid just 7 yrs prior...then that same house sold for 5xs our origional price with only updates in paint and flooring!!! It has quadrupled. Other costs have doubled in the last 2 years. I have a 1350 sf ft house in a older middle class neighborhood. Well maintained. I get $1500 a month. After I pay the monthly bills for that property I make about $300 profit. When the lease expires that rent is coming up to market scale of about $1750. If I can't get that I'll sell it because by the end of next year I won't be making a penny if I don't raise the rent. May sell it anyway because it's no longer profitable.

If you are not healthy emotionally or mentally, you shouldn’t be trying to raise a baby, because the odds are low of raising a healthy human being. You can’t be raising anyone if you aren’t healthy in the mind yourself. Better yet, don’t even be in a relationship if you are toxic. Man, what you're doing is seriously needed. The media rarely if ever exposes these conditions that people are dealing with. It's deplorable that people have to live this way in one the richest country on the planet. I'm not surprised by what you presented, but I feel it's not going to get better because people don't have the power to demand changes. It's disgusting to that there are actually individual landlords for the condos. They're using the money for their own income. It's sad to know that children have to grow up in those conditions, though your tour guide is very humble about what she's dealing with.

But the HOA CO and THAT manager of the whole complex of condominiums IS THE PROBLEM...NOT HER LANDLORD. The HOA controls the shared management and upkeep of the GROUNDS AND AMENITIES , LIKE THE WATER SYSTEM, THE POOL, ETC. and that is neglected and badly handled. HOA is a home owners association but it is not the owner of the home or condo that she rents from. the HOA is something else. Did you not see the whole video? The HOA gets 300 for management of the grounds and amenities but not the actual condo. It was not said (or i missed it if it was) whether the 300 is in addition to the rent of 1700 or it is included in the 1700. But that is not the point. Whatever they are paid they are obviously not doing their job that they are supposed to be doing for that.

So sad...then u have the complete clash of politics views and heat that makes some people go crazy on a gun state.
