Dewalt DC618 nail gun repair, not starting at all.

Still get these old Dewalt guns for repair nearly every week. They where the best second fix gun ever made, tried and tested for 20 years.
Only reason trades man are no longer using them is due to 1 of 2 reasons.
1. the batteries no longer work and they don't want to buy new ones or have an adaptor.
2. something has failed inside the gun and the spare parts is no longer available.
and this is probably the reason why the guns are not sold anymore and the spare parts are also not sold anymore.
They lasted to long and dewalt want every one to buy the new gun that constantly fails and needs repaired or replaced regularly.
I could never understand how some tool manufacture brands can simply stop selling a flagship tool. One that is known for quality and longevity. that one tool can keep trades men buying that one brand.
This was one of those tools. Anyone I have talked to who owned one always sayvtue same thing.That they wish they had of bought another for a spare.
