Nobody has to conform to your, or anyone elses, world view. The movies didn't set themselves in the same years at the books tho so I doubt this will be set in the 90s the actual year of events in these stories doesn't matter or effect anything since it's about the wizard world and not real world events
To be fair, old snape didn’t look like a loser either; he looked shady and suspicious sure - not losery. I mean, there’s a reason he had so much simps 😭
Snape is White 🤍
Average audience members are sick of this shit
Dumbledore gonna start singing country roads at some point
James Potter: Snape you Black. 😂
Ngl I would have bet my life savings on one of the characters being race swapped, although I thought it would be Ron.
The Chris Columbus first 2 Potter films were geared towards younger kids and alot lighter in tone. I really enjoy how the books got darker as they went and the movies followed the same lead.
I don't care about race swap as long it a good story and the actor or actress is good. That all should matter. Acting is about playing another person a making others feel something good or bad.
“Sirius Snape” 😂
You're the man Chris! Much appreciate the content.. fyi your very much wrong about the 3 seasons.. mark my words a big harry Potter wave is coming.. they're doing a deep dive and the fans are going to eat it up.. bless bro
“Its not making it past 3 seasons.” More like “it’s not making it past 3C-asons”
bro in the actual books it literally describes snape as unhealthy pale
Apparently
Harry is Gay now
Hermione is Black
And Ron is Trans
ENOUGH WITH THE REMAKES! Do creators no longer have creativity to create NEW things!? Some things are better left untouched. This NEED to just keep milking from the same cow at all costs is ridiculous!
I got a better idea cancel the reboot I don't want
Adam Driver literally is Severus Snape and already works for Disney. How do you miss that layup
never was a big fan of Harry Potter, but im gonna buy MAX specifically to watch this show just to laugh at how bad it'll probably be, but who knows maybe if we'll ignore the cast it'll actually be good, probably not but who knows
Kid actors and adult actors are fine if they're British or American (Cause Warner Brothers might cast a few American actors if they're not gonna do the J.K. route casting an all-British movie) if I would be the one to start casting actors, I would rather have Adam Driver as Professor Snape!! Like, c'mon!! Who's with me on this?
2:40 oh no... live well young lad, they're gonne come after you.
I would cast David Schwimmer as Snape. Think about it!
“*Sirius* Snape” bro what 😭
Reboot Harry Potter???!!! Expect it to work? Hmmm why can’t these franchises just be left be. They were successful for a reason and remaking isn’t gonna add anything to the franchise what so ever.
Nope dont do it....dont do it...
The films hold up to this day why the hell would they make a reboot
Mark Rylance was in Bridge of Spies from Spielberg,I think it was is best role
OHHHHH MY LORD! Alan Rickman did not die for this shit.
(this show will 100% fail by season 3 if that)
This didn't need a reboot. At least not for a long time.
You're severely underestimating how popular Harry Potter is. Thry can 100% make it to 8 seasons if the writing is good and stays true to the books.
JK Rowling wasn’t transphobic. The comments she made was that biology is real. That’s not transphobic
She has literally denied the known fact that Nazis targeted trans people and is constantly spreading hate about them, shut up with your obvious bigotry.
Nazis targeted anyone and everyone who weren't German. So to say they specificaply targeted trans people is a moot point. Thats more than likely what she was getting at if she indeed said any of that at all.
As well, "bigotry" would be denying people the right to their opinions. Nobody has to conform to your, or anyone elses, world view. If you think its bigotry to deny the scientfic fact that a person is born male, or female (with few exceptions such as intersex, which again, is still rooted in biology not the mind) thats your opinion. And thats alright, you can have that opinion. What you cannot do, is try to force that opinion on others, or boldy claim that your opinion is the correct one. Its opinion. Not fact.
I can claim anything. Im a rock. Im a tree. I have 3 genders living within me. Im black. Im asian. Im the trifecta reincarnation of Jesus, Buddha, and Mother Teresa, ad nauseum; unless I can provide everyone with proof, it all remains just a claim, and in plain terms the general public will understand: not true.
Harry Potter fan (books and movies) and I can honestly say I really don’t care. Just make a good series.
Hagrid is Dumbledore???
Yeah, Snape being nothing like Snape is a problem. That alone makes me not want to watch it. I would honestly be happier if Harry was black, but this doesnt feel right.
Well for the fact that they are greenlighting all seven seasons for a 10 year period I am pretty sure in the contracts they will probably have the pay increases covered. I really think people need to take a chill pill and give it a chance. The show can't ruin the books, and the movies aren't going anywhere. It is another way to experience a story. Everyone is allowed to not be excited but if all you do is have a negative mindset of course every time something is announced you are going to already hade it. Please people, if it ok to not be interested but please allow the show to have a chance
How dare people get upset when characters they love aren’t adapted accurately? Here's an idea. Let's make a Teen Titans movie and cast a white guy as Cyborg? I mean, his race isn't tied to his character? So why not ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ /s
I do not have a problem with the actor playing Snape being black but that would not be book accurate at all Snape is white with long slick black hair it's not about the colors about being accurate to the book I disagree with that choice but it will not stop me from watching it
I made about the snap casting because unlike Jim Gordon I can’t see snape as a black guy
Politically correct is subjective though
stop race-sapping characters
Honestly I usually skip the first two 😂
8:10 Jacob Tremblay is 18 now and is canadian so he can't play any of the characters cause he's not british
Of course there’s controversy I’m black and I don’t like the swaps I’m hyped for the series because I read the books as a kid and there was a lot of details left out of the movies but I don’t like the race swaps
Idk why i got a feeling that this series will stain the franchise
You're right, they'll lose all the audience with this shit
I personally would have made resurrected Voldemort played by a black actor. I love Ralph but I wanted a more intimidating voice and stature for the character. Most of the Deatheaters looked like they could trounce poor Ralph
I’m still giving it a shot
do u call every harry potter character Dumbledore ? XD
I think if they race swap anyone it should be Hagrid. I can totally see black Hagrid. Snape is not a good choice at all, his paleness and greasy hair are inherent to his look.
I can see his face to be in the cast harry potter series
Stop calling JK transphobic just cus she stands for real women’s rights
Bro called Dumbledore Hagrid
No, the other way around.
Ralph Fiennes should be Snape. Change my mind
That’s the skinniest Hercules I’ve ever seen!
This reminds me of the Percy Jackson series casting announcement, with the race swapped Annabeth. Also side note, since when was JK Rowling homophobic? Just wondering, I’ve been out of the loop ever since 2019 or so when she started changing up lore on her own characters 🤣🤣🤣
She said stuff about trans people and people got mad note she does have black mold in her house so maybe she wasn't in the right thinking space
All she did was speak truth and the mentally unstable attacked her.
@@atobosrolloutyoutube7886 She didn't even say anything bad about Trans people. I'm pretty sure she just said they aren't biologically the same as females, which is objectively true.
@@Exclusive1011111111 She engaged in holocaust denial, quit defending terrible people when you are completely uneducated.
This is gonna be worse than the rings of power
Since you arnt a fan maybe you should have Googled why they might do this. At the time the first movies were made the series wasn't even finished. That's why they changed so rapidly over time cause jk changed what she wanted from the word. Now we can get one tone with the facts of everything going to happen being known so they can make a good series that actually covers the books properly and keeps a single tone
I do feel bad for the kids that get cast in this. Not only are they going to have to deal with bigots, but they’re going to be shat on by the elder millennials who hold the original movies ao close to heart. Mind you i say this as someone who grew uo literally with those movies and as part of the fanbase.
number 1 jk rowling isn't even transphobic, maybe search up that definition of it. Number 2, it's just annoying that race swaps keep happening, they did it with ariel, snow white, the blue fairy, cleopatra, astrid and now snape, it's not the case of being racist, but just leave characters alone.
@Coztin I love this comment you actually had the balls to come out and say that I agree with it as well just I don't think I could of said that.
Hmm 🤔 I expected either Hermione or Ron (mostly Ron bc #redhead) to be the raceswaped one also probably Harry is gonna be Asian because reasons
