I will defend Tamlin with every breath I have. If one actually looks at the actions that every other character has done they are the same things that Tamlin has done. So none of these characters are pure or innocent and to put the blame solely on Tamlin being the tool is author intervention and she had to give us someone to hate. I hate the readers that do not allow Tamlin an ounce or mercy or grace but excuse all other characters actions that they've done.
Agreed. He went through ptsd and saw feyre die! And wants to be overprotective. Plus rhysand can influence peoples minds so it’s realistic to believe that feyre had been deceived. I think the way feyre broke up with him was heartless and so rude- a note really? She didn’t even express her true feelings and selfishly thought about only her experience when they encountered each other with no perspective for what he also went through🙄. Honestly I even disliked feyre from acotar. So damn annoying. Has rose coloured glasses for rhysand. I LOVE rhysand but I wish he didn’t end up with feyre
It'd be one thing if any of the PTSD in this series were believable, but it's not. What SJM did was give a cheap excuse for why Tamlin is suddenly evil and expected people to buy that as a reason for why his character got retconned (Though this was at least more than the reason given for Rhys's character being retconned which was more or less non-existent).
This entire book is like the Textual Tension Podcast said, a Feysand fanfic about how Tamlin is a dork and Rhysand is actually a good guy and the best amazing biggest most powerful most hottest high lord in Prythian. And I just can't w this like why? Also I liked Nesta specifically because I just don't like Feyre, and it seems like she overdramatized a lot of the things she went through, growing up.
the quote "break my heart, it was only yours to break anyway" is from the book series : The Selection. It's so weird because i also know this quote but i never read the book so wtf
i know you dont like nesta buuut, its so weird how in this book rhys tells feyra shes not tamlins subject (while shes engaged to him) and that she shouldn't be anyones pawn, but in silver flames he repeatedly uses nesta as his pawn and gets mad when she tells him hes not her high lord im genuinely curious if sjm made these parallels on purpose and also, im twenty and a woman, but i still do the daydreaming. my self instert characters are always men for some reason and usually get with azriel, and also sometimes nesta (but hes still bisexual) idk they also never stay in velaris bc they have giant issues politically with the night court, theyre liberal ig
I'm convinced ACOTAR started out as its own thing but then ACOMAF is just a poorly written darklina fanfiction lmao jokes aside I have many reasons to hate the book, I am a big SJM hater for also many reasons, but I still enjoy to watch people put this book apart bit by bit and see things from different perspectives
I love this whole video, and truly thank you for making them so long I literally do my homework to these. There is a book that I recently read that really reminds me of how this book is written, but instead of Fae its vampires. If you mentally up for it it's called The King of all vampire kings by Sondreen J, It kinda slaps but overall it's very corny.
I could respect what the first one was trying to be, but this one I hated with a passion. It's like SJM wrote petty and amateurish fanfiction of her own work and expected people to just not notice.
I hate nesta too! I really dont know what series the people that love her and hate feyre readed, because she is a horrible character, and not in a horrible but interesting way, she’s just terrible
I literally just finished the book and im sorry but the whole first half of the book was such a slog second half is not that much better. I hate Feyre there I said it. Rhys is fine tho
Honestly ACOMAF is one of the most beautiful and amazing books ever written. Starfall, chapter 55, it all just spoke to my heart. And those violet eyes 💜💜💜
