I love Marx trains, and your collection is very impressive. Your video was nicely shot, edited, and presented. It was pure joy to see the trains of my childhood running around your beautiful layout rather than a simple oval like I had as a kid. Marx outsold Lionel by a large margin, and are known for their quality and reliability. Marx trains and accessories often had features the other companies didn't have. In today's era of accurate models and electronics, many of today's operators look down on Marx, but their toy-like appearance has an intrinsic charm that will never be seen again. Thanks, Steve, for this video. You gained a new subscriber. Keep those awesome videos coming.
Tom, yes Marx Trains have a special charm. They have great play value. My first train was a Marx 666 and that is what got me going into trains. Thank you very much for your kind words, I appreciate your comments and subscribing.
Thank you Jim. It was the first time I had ten running at the same time. Lot of fun! The KCS flatcar adds nicely to that set. That 666 freight set is a replacement of my first train set, so it is special to me.
Chuck, it always a pleasure to have you stop bye. Thank you very much. I was at a train show today in Wheaton, IL and Marx prices were higher it seemed.
Hello Steve, this is a super train parade, about childhood train dreams. Such beautiful models of steam locomotives and diesel locomotives make the heart beat faster. A very nice video, thanks for showing it and kind regards Wolfgang
Wolfgang, thank you for kind words. Yes, these trains are some of the most colorful lithographed trains Marx made. My first train was a Marx. Best wishes to you. -Steve
Awesome video Steve. Thanks for posting it. Your're right Marx trains are fun and you can never have just one. I have 8 myself, but I want to get a KC Southern or Seaboard and a Santa Fe 21 or 1095.
Terry, that is a great way to describe how you can never have just one Marx. They are just a lot of fun. Thank you for sharing your thoughts about Marx trains.
how in the world did you keep them so nice like new. im blown away. great job. So nice to see my ex wife tossed my trains I had when I was a kid and didnt even ask if I wanted them. When I found out about what she did needless to say I was pissed and still mad and that was a long time ago 40 years
These engines have scratches and some blemishes. I try to keep them from rusting. Maybe you could find some bargains online or at a train show. Thank you Ed. You have a great layout and trains.
