You are the master of the small layout. I bought some of those "baby madison" cars when they first came out. There was an article in the Railroad Model Craftsman magazine about the development of those cars. Thanks for sharing.
Thanx Al! I couldn’t remember at first where I put the MR cars, but when I found the box they were in I snatched them out in a hurry! I love seeing these two consists running.
nice combination run Ed! My 4-4-2 handles all 10 of my milwaukee cars, maybe because I put a new traction tire on it? My weapon of choice for them though is my dual motored little joe! The mikado looks and sounds great with them!
Thanx John! My 4-4-2 is buried somewhere in The Cave so it was easier to grab the Mikado to run these. I’m glad I did because the cars look great behind it!
Thanx Guss! I’ve been thinking of doing some more work on that backdrop but won’t get around to it until I’m an old man. Oh wait - I’m already an old fart! 😆
I like the background with clouds. Did you paint it? The Lion Chief trains are nice. 753 looks great with the 1973 MPC cars. I also have a minor interest in the Milwaukee Rd.
@@JFLionelT-RailOperator Thanx so much for the kudos! Yes I painted the background myself. This was a repaint as the first version of it was waaay too light. The blue was so light it looked white in photos and videos so I made sure the repaint was in a darker shade. I know you like the MR as I watch your videos. I’m not very good at leaving comments but always smash the thumbs up button! 😀
I love it! I've got the same set up but I don't have the FDR Campaign car and I've got the original Milwaukee Rd. MPC Engine as well as a Lion Chief 853 in the MR livery. That's the engine I use as well. Where do you find all the MR accessories?
Many Thanx William! I do have the original MPC engine for this set - somewhere out in The Cave! Besides, I really wanted to see the cars being pulled by my Mikado, that is a terrific engine and the cars look at home being pulled by it. I buy everything on-line: fleaBay, Menards, trainz.com, etc.
Say, Ed - I am falling behind with my channel since I issued the save the junk challenge. However, I hope to show my latest save the junk project which happens to be a Hafner-watha locomotive. I wish Lionel would upgrade and re-issue the baby Madison cars.
Well John, the nice thing about this hobby is that we don't have to follow any schedule or timeline if we don't feel like it! I have a general rule: when subscribed to a channel that hasn't had any posts for over a year I reach out to the channel owner to see if they're okay (maybe health issues made them stop) and if they're going to post any more. If I don't get a reply I MIGHT unsubscribe unless they have a video or layout I really, really liked - then I'll just keep the subscription active. There have been a couple of channels that became active again after a long hiatus so I'm glad to have kept the subscription active. I look forward to seeing that Hafner-watha, that sound cool! Lionel needs to do A LOT - bringing back Baby Madison's is just one thing. It's gotten to the point where their only business will come from the elites!
Thanx Chuck! I’ve been wanting to do this for a long time now. The track is the same Menards stuff I’ve had since the layout was started, I just added Moon Dog rubber ties. They’re not glued down yet.
Thanx for the sub - hope you enjoy the channel! I get nearly everything on fleaBay as was the case with this building. This was made by Walther’s and may not be in production any more but is still relatively easy to come by.
@@Ed-ICE-Berg Hi Ed, I made it myself with a 18"flatscreen and DVD player showing old intermission countdowns and trailers. I have a collection of 50's style cars with big fins, in the parking area and a plasticville turnpike entrance as a ticket gate.I'm redoing the asphalt area. When I'm done will send you a picture. Awesome passenger consists, Ed! I need to find one of those Marx El Capitan Superdomes. 😉👍
Thanx John! They’re nice cars and a little hard to find in halfway decent shape.
Very nice! Thanks for sharing
Glad you enjoyed the video - thank you it’s much appreciated!
Ed, great trains. I love them both. Your sounds are also nice.
Many Thanx Steve! Those MRC sound units are fairly recent acquisitions and I'm liking them a lot!

Thank you so much- much appreciated! Glad you enjoyed the video!
I love the Milwaukee cars Ed. What a beautiful train it makes being pulled by your Mogul steam engine. El Capitan is awesome.

Cool Video Ed.!😊The FDR car is very nice and I was surprised no Madison Car. All good though so try and stay cool.!👍
Many Thanx Mark! I really enjoyed seeing these two sets go through their paces on the layout.

Those look great. I have the Eisenhower observation car. The marx cars look neat too. FDR should stop for a slider at White castle.
Thanx Paul! These two sets have been waiting for me to run them for a long time and I’m glad I finally got around to it!
I love the back drop you see where my ladder is its blocked off too.

I like both sets. What track did you replace the O-27 track with?
