@@MultiChrisjb were you really Bronze ? Your firsts games are used to know your level, so before 10 games the game is not sure about your level. Also there were bug with the logo, what matter is the mmr.
I love the Salt mines series. It teaches us lessons that are applicable in our everyday lives. For example, the Salt Mines prove to us, time and time again, that some humans literally reject reality to save their frail egos. Best to avoid those folks IRL.... but... I suspect they don't crawl out of their dens often. Which... genuinely upsets me to see a fellow human... a fellow starcraft family member suffering in such a way. From germany so my englisch is not very good but ill try : I just want to tell you I would rather avoid "folks" like you. I stopped playing sc2 4 years ago but keep watching it sometimes. I myself had back then sometimes days were i would lose over and over again and then a stupid canon rush comes and i lose it and say something stupid. But thats not something that is very rare. Raging in the Gaming community is seen very very often. Even pros do that. Idra was loved for that altough he said "die to cancer" in a game. CapS one of the bast LoL Players threatend to end someones career and if he could to that. Do they all have frail egos, or cant you think of any other reason they say that? Having a bad day and behaving bad, wich everybody does sometimes, doesnt come to your mind? Whats more disgusting than people that rage are people that are looking for videos about raging people just to make fun of them and build a little community of "we are better than these people" I just had a look at the comment section and all those people that are making fun here probably done that 100 times themself or do other things that are also bad. Its always easy to blame others instead of looking at your own mistakes isnt it? I am working as an IT Engineer and i am doing quite well, altough i "raged" back then sometimes. Well if i had to pick i would choose the raging guys. Rage is most of the times an unnecesarry reaction wich ends very shortly. But watching videos to make yourself feel better than others and then writing a comment about their egos and that one should avoid them in real life based on they behaviour in 1 game is very sick. You probably also watch reaction streams and when somebody cries over a movie you tell them how fragile their emotions are because they cry to a fake movie. Shouldnt be Salt Mines but rather "Bullying Mines". When i see what most of these people say in the videos i suggest that probably some are around 13-14 years old wich explains their behaviour. I just imagine a 14 year old boy playing sc2 losing and writing some bullshit, wich I said is bad and should be punished with chat/qeue ban, and next day comes online and sees that a youtuber with 60k subsc. made a video to shame him and finds hundreds of comments that make fun of him and say how bad of a person he is. Nobody of us knows the age of these people. If they are still kids it would be very embarassing if a fucking grown man like PIG shames them in public. And even more embarassing if someone like you says that this kid has a fragile ego and should be avoided in real life. Yea it would be easy to just sit back and laugh about them. Most people do that. Espacially if it makes you feel good and superior. But with just some thinking we can understand, that if we think about the age they might have and how they feel if they see this, that this is bullying. This series is a good reminder to remember that "it's just a game meant for enjoyment". My Dad always taught me: "control your emotions or they will control you".
I'd like to go on record that I personally much prefer these kinds of games rather than the blatant bigotry comments. I like it because in the laughing about the complaints these players make, it also allows opportunities for coaching when PiG gets to explain why it's wrong. As a low level player, any tidbits of "Is this a problem? try doing __" is nice. I feel like the hate slur games are less salt, and more just the the player being an asshole; and giving them attention for it is a reward.
I hate Protoss cheese above anything in the game but that guy malding about 2 oracles, calling it cheese and himself going for Nydus lol... That was something else
I like how blinking and picking up units and dropping them and avoiding widow mine drops at home is boiled down to just "a move" in his cute little head.
I've been playing about 3-5 games a day before my left hand starts to hurt badly because of an accident years back but I feel I've gotten a little better. I've tried all three races and I absolutely love Terran. They're so modular (is that the right term?) or mobile which really appeals to me. I've gotten decent at bc rush and MMM as I just keep doing those two builds repeatedly trying to get good at hotkeying before I go into more advanced stuff. Ive noticed that the when I go into replays to watch what I messed up it's usually because I mess up my hotkey presses and somehow merge units or buildings into the wrong group.

I think the first Terran was complaining about the durability of Protoss units, i.e "you only need to produce one unit when I need to make a whole army".
1 protoss unit usually costs like small terran bio army, so what's the point? And talking about durability, terran bio is pretty durable. Marines and Marauders have good enough health per resource spent ratio. So the whole argument from that terran is kinda strange.
I love this game. It really exposes how $h!tty people's lives are by saying the awful things they say when they play this game. It's not unique to SC2... online gaming and toxicity go hand in hand.

PMA is the best thing you can do for yourself in anything. Everything is hard. I watch my daughter learning things and she's hard on herself. I tell her EVERYTHING is hard. Walking is hard, but we learned to do it. It wasn't easy for anyone, I promise. You have to fail to get better because if you aren't pushing yourself as hard as you can, you might never fail, but you won't get better. Clearly this protoss is OP. How do you know for sure? Yeah smurfs are toxic to SC2 community, even more so than trash talkers. Pig should reevaluate his decision to cast smurf games
looks like the players were mostly on tilt and so busy raging they were playing way beelow their level. I've seen GMs get emotional and fall apart like this, looking -1500MMR.
Haven't played in 10 years but your commentary brought me back to sc2, went 4 wins 1 loss in 1v1 my first games. 3 of those 5 games my opponents sent me salty messages. I look at their profile and these people have been playing every day for the past 10 years,,, how do you lose ,,, and why are there so many salty inbreds are debatedly the most competitive strategic game? im the type of person to turn off chat and climb to masters asap, same as every other game i play. i recently landed my first job irl as a programmer that pays 400k/yr... i was having a hard time coming to terms with deserving the money but video games are showing me that a lot of people are just stuck in a silver league mindset their entire lives and its sad...
Top tip for shit league Terran (of which I am a proud member), early widow mine drop and build an armory as they head out, drop 2 mines on each of the first two bases and then just don't micro them and go back to focus macro. Lower levels react so badly that even if they just pull workers it'll take them a min to kill the mines and waste APM while you expand!
I have started to notice that after a "good day", with wins above average, the next day I get matched with superior oponenets. I don't get salty, the next day i am back where I was. I guess it's just related to the matchmaching AI. Ex. If one day I have a good streak against plat players, next day I am matched mostly with diamond ones.
yep that's the natural rollercoaster of the ladder! Whenever you're on a sick win streak, remember you're climbing up a mountain and eventually will come down the other side!

I did the slow crawl out of bronze a few years back before the league bug and never saw a plat opponent before I hit gold

Yeah smurfs are toxic to SC2 community, even more so than trash talkers. Pig should reevaluate his decision to cast smurf games
looks like the players were mostly on tilt and so busy raging they were playing way beelow their level. I've seen GMs get emotional and fall apart like this, looking -1500MMR.

Haven't played in 10 years but your commentary brought me back to sc2, went 4 wins 1 loss in 1v1 my first games. 3 of those 5 games my opponents sent me salty messages. I look at their profile and these people have been playing every day for the past 10 years,,, how do you lose ,,, and why are there so many salty inbreds are debatedly the most competitive strategic game?
im the type of person to turn off chat and climb to masters asap, same as every other game i play.

Top tip for shit league Terran (of which I am a proud member), early widow mine drop and build an armory as they head out, drop 2 mines on each of the first two bases and then just don't micro them and go back to focus macro. Lower levels react so badly that even if they just pull workers it'll take them a min to kill the mines and waste APM while you expand!

I have started to notice that after a "good day", with wins above average, the next day I get matched with superior oponenets. I don't get salty, the next day i am back where I was. I guess it's just related to the matchmaching AI. Ex. If one day I have a good streak against plat players, next day I am matched mostly with diamond ones.
yep that's the natural rollercoaster of the ladder! Whenever you're on a sick win streak, remember you're climbing up a mountain and eventually will come down the other side!
