Hey. Holland and Barret sell pure castor oil, it’s pricy by the recipe doesn’t use very much so a bottle should last well. Other independent health and food supplement shops would be a good place to try as well.
Can you use any oil? I have allergies and can't find a lip balm that doesn't contain one or more allergens. How exactly do these balms work? All these shop bought ones seem to be crammed with ingredients.
You will kill any essential oil properties by heating it up. Best to add while it's cooling down.
You shouldn't heat your essentials oils ,you should add it after the mixture cools down a bit
