I have the same tank. Right now I have one clown and couple snails. Only running filter floss and fiber balls. I was looking to add some chaeto myself.
Check out my filtration video. I break down what I have in the back chamber. I’m going to make a video on the fuge soon. The lagoon is the perfect tank size. Thanks for watching! And if you want me to make some other videos on my build just let me know. I enjoy making them.
I didn’t think to ask this question, saw another reefer with the same tank,, he said something that had me wondering 😂 He had 2 return pumps in the back of the tank, one each feeding the 2 returns back into the tank, Is this the same way your tank is set up? I was thinking the system came with 1 pump to feed both return lines , just wondering if I need to purchase a second pump, I have decided this is the tank & system I want 😎
Great setup you got here. Looking forward to see how it progresses, especially the Zoa garden. I may have missed it in the video, but what's your water change schedule like? What salt do you use? And why'd you decide to start dosing?
I do a water change every 3 weeks. I dose because my corals are using it and I don’t want to do water changes every week. So I get away with the lack of water changes with my dosing. I use reef crystals
Did you set your lights based of par readings, or just what you liked? Just curious if you have ever tried to ramp them up higher over time to get faster growth, or if it's already on the high end of effective par.. Wondering as I have a similar tank and am looking at lighting options - I tend to want to run my lights close to 100 percent, so would get a less powerful light if the prime was kind of overkill
I did ramp up the lights a bit but no where near 100 percent. I didn’t do par readings just watched the coral and went off the bull reef supply experiment they did with the AI prime
@@RespectTheReefhow much did you ramp up the lights? I was using your scheduled posted in the light video but it seemed kind of dull so I increased it as well but i just wanna know what you also did! Thank you
I bought this tank, not knowing what it was and so it was highly suggested that I create this coral reef. I paid someone because I’m a veteran and I have injuries so I paid someone $1000 to come set it up and I mean I see, but the water is murky, I just texted him. He said there’s like some pills or something I can drop in. I’ve only had this for two weeks and he’s not going to be able to so do you have any suggestions?
@@Gerrs824 you paid someone 1000$ dollars to set it up? Did you buy all the stuff on top of that? Or did that include everything like coral, rock, filter media, etc.. I mean it’s going to have a bacterial bloom at the beginning. Which can turn the water murky. You could try carbon. It helps polish the water. Uv sterilizer is a more expensive option but would work much better and has a lot of other benefits. But since it’s so new it’ll eventually clear up. But carbon wouldn’t hurt.

I have an aqua japan 30 gallon or 25 and my wavemaker is a bit harsh , any cheaper recommendations for a smaller powerful silent pump?
