I share that death is the center theme of Six Feet Under, but I can't avoid to say how this show touches other big concepts such as the mental health, the brotherhood or family disfunctions. And how all the problems related to those thing inevitable just fade away in the end. I think we all can feel related to those concepts of life, a brother/sister, a beloved person with a mental disease, or problems in our families. And all of that is what makes Six Feet Under dig into our souls so very much
After watching series finale, part of me is thinking that Claire is now the main character and not Nate. But kind of just dealing with semantics at that point. All the mains are important
while Claire is the obvious main character, Ruth is the true main character. Nate the supposed main character. but death is the actual main character. thanks for coming to my Ded Talk
@ I love this thought process! In a weird way I could compare it to Red Dead Redemption lmfaoooo. Ruth is Arthur, Nate is John, and Claire is John’s son
I'm on the last season now and I, too, have been wondering who the "main" character is. I settled on Claire, but I really like the idea of Nate much more.
Honestly there isn’t one I just say nate, David, Claire, and Ruth are all equally the protagonists of this story it’s about the fishers. Also what did you think of that finale and the series as a whole now that you’ve finished it?
I loved 6 Feet Under. Alan Ball is the master of dark Humor. I miss it and other memorable series, like "In Treatment". HBO was once the dominator in the addictive series genres, now they are just blah. The only series I've truly enjoyed since the greats of the 90's - 2K's is Game of Thrones. House if Dragons is okay, but there's no Sopranos or Boardwalk Empire or Sex in the City. Please HBO, save us from eternal boredom.🙏

You are so correct! In my life I relate pretty much everything to Death - it's the hole at the bottom of the funnel to me haha! 😄
By far the most painful ending ever. I just finished this show after binging it on totally legal sights and it was such an enlightening show
Great video and six feet under is one of the three best series I’ve ever watched.
good stuff, profoundly underrated
@@stolensentience that’s really kind of you to express, and meaningful to me. Thank you 🙏🏻
@ you are very welcome…
lowkey the best 6FU analysis on UA-cam fwiw. a show with probably the most complex writing and perspective in tv history.
Great analysis

I absolutely agree and I actually make this point in my analysis of Claire that will be published soon. Thank you so much for checking this out.
@@TheStarsAndGod Subscribing so I can hear an analysis on Claire!!

Succession and Barry were great and they came far after that time. So I think hbo will drop some great shows again.
