Nice review! It's really deep dark depressed and the most emotional show with best tv finale I've ever seen It completely changed my perspective on life and death and how I should live my life. The message I got from this is that there is no right or wrong way to live as long as you are actually living and not just existing (and are a decent person at the same time, but I hope that's a given)
I am getting a tattoo from this show. The last 10 minutes, just unbelievable. Deep, hard hitting, powerful on a level I don’t think I’ve ever seen on any other show. Time is fleeting and you feel like you know these characters. Overwhelming in a way that’s both sorrowful and inspiring.
That’s awesome! What will the tattoo say? But yeah, I know what you mean. It cuts deep. Even just thinking about it can bring tears to my eyes. Was a brilliant way to end the show.
@@ChadSabourin It’s an American traditional hourglass with a banner across it that says “it’s already gone”. It’s a birthday present to myself haha That line stuck with so many of us and I am so happy to have it on my body forever.
My all time fav TV show. I don’t watch series much, I almost never rewatch them but I watched SFU 4 times. The final hit me so hard I could never find peeper words to describe that. I was crying the whole week after the first time. It’s just brilliant and it seems to be a show about death but it’s about LIFE. Every single aspect of it, everybody can find something here that will speak to him personally. It’s sad and funny, full of love, full of doubts, full of mistakes, full of life. Every single Fisher family member becomes like your own relative in the very first season, they’re not perfect, like anyone. The script and the dialogues are sooooo good! And I love the message of this show - cherish your life, it’s way too short.
Six Feet Under is in my Top 4 HBO shows (Oz, The Wire and Big Love are the other three) One of the most realistic shows I have seen in how it captures life. I was a little annoyed with Brenda's arc in S2
Yes! Glad that you’ve seen the show too! It really is realistic & I think it captures the human experience very well. Brenda’s arc was definitely an interesting one with how she started vs how she ended.
@@ChadSabourin Yeah for HBO I've seen Oz, The Sopranos, The Wire, Six Feet Under, Big Love and Treme in their entirety (Treme is also created by David Simon and is set in New Orleans) I've also seen the first seasons of Deadwood and Entoruage and i got HBO Max recently
@@ChadSabourin I will get to it sometime. I am in the middle of finishing several other shows (Go Girls, Rake and i am going to start the last season of Being Mary Jane in a week)
I loved the way this show portrayed the anti Los Angeles. From the old storied house, the funeral parlor, the outside sets, the dialog, even the vehicles absolutely nothing screamed LA. A total juxtaposition but appropriate irony to show about repeated death in the town of eternal youth. Extremely clever. A tour de force of acting chops. Clever comedy throughout. Jagged but yet seamless sequways between scenes. For a show about death it had an uncanny way of showing us more about life than most art. Of course that was the point. Youth is wasted on the young. Life is wasted on the alive.
Hey there...new subscriber here...I watch a lot of tv shows, the count is around 42. Having watched all the greatest show ever made (Madmen, Avatar, and some excluded), The Leftovers is my 2nd favourite show of all time after Breaking Bad.
