Scorp RWBY is a 3D animated series by Rooster Teeth. Its crazy, but highly entertaining, especially in the first 3 seasons. The relation between these two shows is the bat-shit crazy and highly complex battle numbers inspired by most Shonen anime. Seeing this stuff makes me want to go back and try to make animations myself. I loved this stuff, and if you like SMBZ, I suggest you take a look at RWBY and another show called One Minute Melee.
There was just this special flair that he had making SMBZ that no other creator could ever replicate. He just knows the perfect choreography, timing, sound design, and slowmo effects to use to make a fight scene interesting and exciting throughout.

Shadow was right though. Saving the princess at that point was the most tactically unsound move that only endangered her more than actually helped her, and they ended up paying dearly for it. He was just too spergy to lay out his reasoning properly. Peach is infinitely more safe in the doomship than in some shoddy, ram-shackle castle, guarded by literal pondscum, especially with a homicidal android on the loose. Bowser's never shown any sign or intention of wanting to hurt her, and when they get all the emeralds they can just waltz in and take her without trouble anyway. Really all they did was creative an opportunity for her to be hurt in the potential crossfire, pursuing an objective with no gain of strategic value.
Y'know, as much as Shadow IS a jerk both in this episode and in the series leading up to this point... anyone else think he had kind of a point about prioritizing? I mean, Bowser has NEVER hurt Peach. Surely the sensible thing to do is grab the last 2 Chaos Emeralds, transform into a whole team of Super Mode warriors, then bring Bowser's Omega Doomship down around his ears faster than spit?
I think in this case, for Sonic it was again about Teamwork. Mario and Luigi confinued to help them despite Yoshi being beaten near to death, and losing an entire Island that he was indebted to, he still worked with Sonic and did his best to fight, same with Luigi. He owes it to Mario for all that they've done for him. And uh.. From what I remember, the writer (not Mark mind you.) part of the original series was a little questionable. Like, making a Dark Ashley subplot that would get along with Shadow or something

Sonic is the type of character who would never think twice about helping someone in need, regardless if it’s practical to the bigger plan or goal, to him, a single life is of the same worth as thousands more, he would gladly sacrifice himself if need be. Mario is on a similar boat, the search for the Emeralds is just as much his duty as it is Sonic, considering he the hero of the Mushroom Kingdom, and it is under threat of demise due to how ruthless and omnicidal Mecha Sonic is, so it’s not just helping Sonic. If the roles where reverse and Sonic’s friend and world where the ones in need, Mario would not hesitate to help either, they are both selfless and noble heroes at their very core who would lend a helping hand regardless if “debts” where a factor or not.
It's really too bad we never got to see the end of this series... It seems like every great fanmade series always ended abruptly because of life or something... A series like this really deserved a completed storyline. I loved all the setups Alvin was doing. We never got to see the Koopa Kids fight, we never got to see Robotnik again, and we never even got to see Mecha Mario. It's really such a waste... It's too bad he couldn't finish the series. I gotta admit... I really loved seeing Sonic use the fire flower. I thought that was a real badass moment. It would be really cool if we got to see what effects the other powerups had. I'm sure everyone would love to see Ice Flower Sonic too, or hell, even see Shadow use one. I'm sure Shadow would have had a field day with using a fire flower.

No kidding, but what makes it great. It shows a different side of them, but it still keeps them in character. I could actually see Sonic and Shadow have a conversion like this in an actual Sonic game if SEGA wasn't so gutless about dark story lines.

Shadow lost his creator,Gerald Robotnik,He lost his best friend,Maria Robotnik,he lost his teammates Rouge the Bat and E-123:Omega. All that Shadow has left to remember of Mobius is his rival,Sonic,the one who killed tram dark,Turbo Mecha Sonic,the chaos emeralds,and a possibly living Dr. Eggman. Basically, Sonic and Shadow may have different reasons for gathering the emeralds,but they have a common enemy. If they gathered the emeralds,they might have a chance to bring back the lives lost on there world because of Mecha Sonic. Plus,i would like to see E Gadd and Tails share notes.
Man, if the story ends with the chaos emerald restoring the past, that would be so cool....but also would be sad to see that the encounter between Sonic and Mario would have never existed...unless they have memory or something to travel between dimensions, but I doubt it..
I used to think this episode was my least favorite when I first saw it as a kid, but looking back on it as an adult, this episode is the most exciting one and tingles my now more developed brain a lot more. Fire Sonic is so cool, and so overpowered that Basilisx immediately recognized that he must not allow Fire Sonic to initiate an attack on any circumstances, instantly petrifying him without a second thought. It struck me only recently that Mario simply isn't as well equipped in combat as Sonic is, which makes sense, but this simple disparity is what makes both of these kid friendly franchises work so well together in tandem. Mario is established to be a well rounded, normal man who is still capable of putting a good fight against troops with heavy armor (not so in the case of Goombas), but can't reliably deal with Bowser's Elite Military Units such as Hammer and Fire Bros without powerups of his own. Sonic for the most part, doesn't even need said powerups, which are so valuable to Mario's combat utility that he stockpiles them, something which made its debut in Super Mario Bros 3 on the NES. Sonic is faster than Mario in every way, uses his biological spikes as weapons in his Spin Dash to deal more damage than a Mario jump, and with those heightened combat abilities, it makes sense that he amplifies the potency of the Fire Flower's effects. Also Sonic's Fire Explosion foreshadowed Sonic Frontiers - what a masterpiece this series is. Can't wait to see Mark Haynes reach this episode in his reimagining.
It's funny to think that the Mushroom Kingdom has the perfect solution to all of Mobius' problems. In that, when they gather the star spirits and the star rod, they'd be able to wish everyone back to life on Mobius OR enough 1up mushrooms to do it themselves. Either way, I get the feeling THAT will be how they fix what Mecha Sonic did.
Someday, I want this to continue. I understand it’s been canceled, but I’ve seen others try to continue this masterpiece on their own, and it honestly pains me to see how it can never top this beautiful work of art. Heroes of the Stars is good in all, but this pure nostalgia, and someday, I PROMISE YOU, even if its in 10 more years, this will return.

Okay I dunno if this series is still being made or not but I wanna say that this series looks really cool. I even made a playlist of some of the episodes I've seen. I just wanna say that Alvin, (who I guess is the creator of the series) you did good on this series and I hope to see more someday, maybe.
I love Alvin's work on Super Mario Bros. Z. Clearly one of the best, might even be the best fan-based series I have ever watched. I Think it's a shame that serie will never get a proper end. But of course do I understand that it is demanding and takes lots of time. Hopefully it will appear more series like this!
Probably a box Kind of hard to tell who would win sometimes. Sonic doesn't do well in some fights against but certain fights he does. Fire Sonic will definitely help Sonic but more powerful than Mecha Sonic? Ehhh

Really really REALLY patient. Quality over quantity though... Episode 2 of the reboot was a banger. Episode 6 has to be a masterpiece.

I understand it’s been canceled, but I’ve seen others try to continue this masterpiece on their own, and it honestly pains me to see how it can never top this beautiful work of art. Heroes of the Stars is good in all, but this pure nostalgia, and someday, I PROMISE YOU, even if its in 10 more years, this will return.
