Thank you for your question! With our affiliate plugin, the commission is earned only if the customer clicks on the affiliate's referral link. This means that each time a customer makes a purchase through the affiliate link, the commission is counted for that specific purchase. There is no option to register via an affiliate link and be permanently associated with that affiliate, but with the "Calculate commissions permanently" option enabled, if the user makes a purchase starting from the affiliate link, they will be permanently associated with the affiliate account. This way, all future purchases made by that user will be credited to the associated affiliate's commission. We hope this clarifies how our affiliate system works. However, as an alternative, I suggest checking out the integration between YITH Affiliates and YITH Points and Rewards which allows affiliates to earn points every time they generate sales through their affiliate link.
