KARD is still so underrated. The members are all gorgeous, talented, and sound great. I love that they include their "cards" as visuals throughout, especially as contact lenses during Ring the Alarm. I think it's interesting that they kinda got rid of the couples aspects after the first few years, and while they'll pair for dances, the choreography seems to have removed the types of pairings you see in Oh NaNa. Also, they've broken up in to subgroups for songs: girls (Enemy) vs guys (Inferno), and BM had solo stuff (Better Myself, Broken Me, Lost in Euphoria) while J.Seph was enlisted. I'd recommend a foursome (what?!) of Hola Hola, Rumor, Red Moon, and Bomb Bomb. And yeah, they're hugely popular in Latin America, toured there, and often incorporate Spanish lyrics. I know BM speaks some (fluent?) Spanish. Glad you enjoyed, looking forward to more when you do!
I love how their choreography always have both "masculine" and "femenine" (or what we're used to call that) energy and they'll perform it all, and sometimes they get the more flowy and subtle moves done by the guys while the girls take on the strong and aggressive ones, which looks amazing and unexpected. You can check the interviews about the concept behind Gunshot
I’m so happy you did Kard. That’s one of my favorite groups. It’s insane how much their albums, PCs, and everything goes for online. Yet zero wins? Shameful! I absolutely LOVE this group and all the talented members. BM lives are NEVER boring. 😂
@@ELmayberry I tried to leave a link. It’s in the video somewhere. 😂 I think it was MONSTA X and other idols he was behind. Hopefully you can see the link but this man is unbelievably funny. I absolutely adore him. Hope UA-cam won’t delete that link but if so Type in BM KARD HOLDING BIG TIDDIE SIGN UP BEHIND IDOLS IN. 😂 enjoy
with the years kard has become pretty well known all around the world but since debut they gained a lot of attention and support from latin america, many of their songs have in fact latin influences and some of the beats are also similar to european edm so they’re heavily supported in europe too, they are a hidden gen in kpop, their own company wasn’t sure if they would make it since co-ed groups are quite rare and their sound itself was not popular in korea, but here they are 5 years later still active and continuing to grow, so proud of them. fun fact: i became a kpop stan because of them, stray kids and A.C.E. two years ago
I'm not saying that if KARD had been around when I was a teen I would've figured out my bisexuality a helluva lot sooner, but I'm not *not* saying that either. 😂 But seriously, KARD are so freaking good!!! I adore them to pieces.
Don't Recall and You In Me do a very good job of showing 2 stories. 1 with the boys and 1 with the girls. and it's like they're talking to each other in the song. you should def check them out.
I love how you started with the introduction with all the card references in the first music video, and then the last video calls back to the same card references as well. what a perfect way to wrap this reaction video, just the pure essence of what Kard can offer conceptually
So glad you've finally gotten to KARD... they are so so so so good. Unfortunately, they are not loved in SK as much as they should be... BUT Latin America LOVES them. They just wrapped up their tour there are and now touring the US. Dumb Litty is definitely one of my favorite KARD songs to play extremely loud in the car. 😄 Randomly, my introduction to them was the English version of 'Don't Recall' (I think they call it the Hidden KARD version) so it has a special place in my heart and totally recommend it. But 'Red Moon' and 'Bomb Bomb' are REALLY good too.
kard is SO underrated, they got everything, talented af, and still not receiving the knowledge that they deserve, especially in korea (for the dumbest reason ever: bc it's a boy&girl group)
Just watched them live in LA! They put on one of the most energetic shows! Their music is a vibe. They’re big in Latin America so their music has a little bit of a Latin flair to it. Songs to check out Hola Hola Bomb Bomb Dímelo ( my favorite kpop bside of all time) Red Moon
Red Moon is my fav of KARD songs. My girl Jiwoo is always slaying but it is really hard to stay in one lane for KARD. They all r super talented and deserve more!!
I’m so glad you reacted to them!!!! KARD is wonderful. FYI: Gunshot was specifically written for those who have survived/experienced abuse (specifically verbal abuse), thus the cameras symbolize the feeling of always being watched that comes with dealing with an abuser.
Jiwoo is my bias. From debut to now it’s crazy how much she’s evolved and just gotten so much better. Her voice is so deep and unique in the kpop world and together with Somin you can just tell who’s who straight away. And I love that. They harmonise so well as well. They’ve all gotten better obviously but jiwoos whole look and her vocals and rap everything updated and upgraded it’s crazy. Somin is like the visual and the vocalist that girl groups would love so it makes so much sense why they use her vocals and visuals so much. Jseph is underrated I’d say because people generally go for BM but he’s so funny and his flow in every song is always so good. My least favourite is actually the one from gunshot and that was still good so he really does justice go every song. BM is the one that always catches eyes first I’d say, the height the voice the visuals cos he’s almost always got no shirt. He’s the first I saw but then jiwoo attacked me so bad in dumb litty so I was stolen away.
Random fact lol J.Seph became friends with Chanyeol when they were both casted in a Military musical. J.Seph was discharged first but I hope to see more friendship moments of the two boys once Chanyeol is discharged.
One reason why I think Kard is one of very few co-ed groups in the Kpop industry is because co-ed groups and duos are harder to manage when it comes to Idol culture. The Kpop industry is designed to make it so that Kpop Idols are held to a higher standard and they are meant to be seen as if they are devoted to their fans, are pure, perfect and flawless at all times. (As dumb as it seems, I think it's harder for people to picture a co-ed group not being in situations where they are unable to adhere to that modest and pure standard.) Plus, it's just fundamentally more difficult because of living situations and management issues, as well as choreography styles and group dynamics, etc. When you have mixed groups you run into issues of dating rumors and situations where people may feel less connected to the members because it changes the dynamic of what is traditionally thought of as the Kpop standard. For example, Kard member BM, who is Korean-American from L.A., often talks about how they have really had to struggle to quelch dating rumors, to convince people that there are no romantic relationships in their group and that they are all just friends. Kard debuted in 2016, which makes them part of the third generation. Third generation idols are from an era where the Kpop industry sort of insulated idols and made it appear as if they never interact with anyone of the opposite sex. If you notice, most of the time whenever pretty much any third generation group or artist is around someone of the opposite sex, we hardly ever see the other person's face or see them interacting together. Third generation was when the Kpop industry decided to take the Idol image up to the next level and make it appear as if the idols were solely devoted to their fans and that they never have any outside distractions. Which makes the fact that Kard was created to go against all this, that much more interesting. Kard is a rare exception to the rule. However, it makes it so they are far less popular in Korea than they are internationally. Kard has a pretty large international following, especially in Latin American countries and communities, and the have a large hispanic fanbase. The members even speak some spanish and they have several songs with spanish lyrics. They are known for their latin sound and feel of many of their songs.
There is actually a hidden member in their debut song. The one singing the bridge is Kara‘s Youngji. She was introduced as a „hidden“ card, but was sadly never featured again.
KARD is such a killer group, and perfect proof of how we need more coed groups, the different voices make the songs even more interesting Off stage they’re literally like siblings always annoying each other, I’m looking at you Bm Also love the mix of masculine and feminine choreo and styling I’d say they have pretty big fanbases in Latin America and Europe Funny thing since J.seph finished his military service earlier this year, the group is don with it 💀 since Matthew doesn’t have to enlist and the girls obviously don’t have to, I just find it funny how it’s just one person and they were done with it so quickly, it’s like every boy group Fans biggest dream lol
KARD is one of the best groups to see live, just saw them in Atlanta 2weeks ago and they absolutely rocked it, one of the most hype shows I've ever been to! Dumb Litty is absolutely bonkers to experience live!
You know what’s crazy I don’t even notice when BM has his body out anymore I’ve seen it to much. I watched ring the alarm mv so many time and I just noticed when you said something
Not sure if anyone mentioned it but at the end of Gunshot, she shoots herself and the lyrics “your words are like a gunshot” imply that the words we say to ourselves can be deadly
YESSS RJ!!! I am a predebut Kard fan and just saw them live last week for 1st time! They are unfairly beautiful even in real life. And it’s funny you mention JSeph standing out because he charmed me the most on stage. His smile and wink does damage lemme tell u
I loveeeeee Gunshot the most. The performance video was bomb. I think i watched all music show perf for gunshot haha. You can check out Hold on too.. theor vocal is soo good. Ring the alarm was good too. Greta comeback!
your initial ring the alarm thoughts had me cracking up. “matthew.” 😂 we’ve all been there! i hope you get the chance to check out more of their music in the future! i really love their recent b-side ‘break down’ because we get to hear the guys and the girls take turns singing the same lines instead of sticking to their own parts. as far as dancing, their relay dances always put me in a good mood, especially the one for ‘red moon’. they so clearly have a lot of fun with each other and it’s a blast to watch
To see Jiwoo in her full Gunshot-era witchy glory, check out her performances on MNET's "Good Girls" competition show, with the usual obfuscation to throw off copyright claims and strikes because TV show...
My favourite KARD song is You In Me - I don't know, the vibe, the lyrics, the rap parts, overall synergy in the song and the storyline - it's a song that briefly puts you in a trance. I love it. ♥
I love KARD so much and got into them literally the day Oh NaNa released. Oh NaNa also featured an ex-member of Kara, Heo Youngji, as Kara was under the same company as KARD is now. Thank you for the reaction to them!
Hey, thanks for checking out Kard, they're mostly known as a touring group, especially in South America where they have a huge following. If you want to check them out just for fun or for another video, here's what I would suggest: -Don't Recall: their second song, right after OhNana. It has their highest view count for a MV. -Hola Hola: debut track, MV was shot in Cali and Vegas -Bomb Bomb: Great visuals Also Jiwoo has been on two variety shows and is the most popular with the Korean public, I'd suggest watching her cover of Chris Brown's "Take you down" on the show good girl. BM has solo songs and models for Hugo Boss. He has a few MV, but I like his song Body Moving which is used in the Hugo Boss commercials the most. And I said before that they are most well known in South America. They did a cover of Taki Taki, and it has a dance practice, I'd suggest watching that if you'd like to see a dance MV. Thanks again for checking them out, hope you get to catch them live one day!
Oh wow RJ never thought that you will react to KARD. I really love KARD and have been following them since pre-debut. It's quite sad that they are not really well-known in Korea.
I love KARD, they're actually the only Kpop group I stan nowdays 🥰 their music are gold and their personalities are the best too, KARD members have that sibling vibe no one expected they would have (for a coed group everybody thought they would end up dating each other) 😎
Kard is amazing!! I was so lucky to have been able to go to a concert of theirs in Amsterdam shortly after they debuted😍 My favorite song is 'Rumor'. It's such a chill yet groovy song. Really recommend checking that one out. There's a mv and a performance video with their choreographer!
Thank you for reacting to KARD! They’re insanely talented but also very underrated. I definitely recommend you getting deeper - my recs are Ride on the Wind, You In Me, Hola Hola and Bomb Bomb. They actually don’t have a huge discography so you could probably do all of their MVs / music listening. I hope they get to release a FULL album soon!
Kard is around since 2016, and still don't have a win, cuz they are most popular overseas than SK. No full album either They have a (annoying) siblings relationship. They are currently touring in USA. Biggest fanbase is in Latin America. Glad you like it. Fun fact, oh na na dance practice has more views than the mv. If you see it, you will know why. You can tell there is a change in their music stily in 2019 with Bomb Bomb. Choreography style too. With Ring the alarm they went back to their roots
They're one of my fave kpop groups because they're so interesting and I really loved their earlier genres, like tropical/house based beats. I kinda missed their old style of songs. Rumor is my top fave and Dimelo second. I'm not into some of their recent songs sound wise but still they are an amazing all rounder group
KARD is sooo good. Definitely underrated. Have been their fan since pre-debut or when they released their pre singles. All of them are sooo talented. Have seen them live twice and let me just say that it's a whole party. And yes they are so good looking as well. Hope you keep reacting to them. Definitely need to check Breakdown, Bomb Bomb, Moonlight, Trust Me (both subinits) and BMs solo songs (Strangers, Bad intentions, Broken Me)....
KARD is pretty underrated in Korea, they're more well-known in Latin-America since their music are also has some Latin sounds in it. I love their debut song, but I started following them when Red Moon era comes, and it's f-ing hard to pick a bias in this group🙉💆
With the girls, the easiest way to tell them apart is the voices. Jiwoo has a deeper timbre to her voice and Somin is a lot lighter. Appearance wise, Jiwoo has a more rounded face and Somin's is more oval shaped
I love your intelligent and sophisticated reaction style and always look forward to your updates. I've always been interested in KARD's songs, but was reluctant to have the chance to hear them. This time, you organized the information and MVs, and it was a good opportunity for me to start listening. I am very happy to watch the MV together. Thank you.
with your questions about storytelling with kard, i'd think you'd love their song rumor, because it plays around with the he said/she said as they tell the story of a single relationship through two perspectives - the man and the woman, and how the meaning changes depending who sings the lyrics.
Ohmygod yesss !!! Kard is criminally underrated they have such unique concept . Thank you for reacting to them. I think they said in an interview that Gunshot represents verbal abuse . Like Somin represents verbal abuse or manipulation and constant criticism. Jiwoo shows a toxic relationship and how it is to get attached to the abuser and finding no way out and deluding yourself into loving them because the abuser made you dependent on them . BM shows how verbal abuse is when no one take any action against it saying "I don't give damn about you" which just increases the verbal abuse and j.seph is kinda tricky because it feels like he is volatile and lashing out on faceless people because of some trauma , it might represent the keyboard warriors who try to put down celebrities through internet by their disgusting words . And at the end we can see her Shoot herself maybe she is destroying the damaged part of herself that's hurting her. This comment is all over the place but I hope it still makes some sense.
Jiwoo is the shorter girl with a rounder face..shes kinda more of a rapper and Soomin is vocal and KARD does do more of a latin vibe the have a big latin audience .
I love your reaction ,i love the look on your face every after mv , like same man , they all look cool and amazing right hehehe hoping to see more kard reaction❤️
another co-ed group is the GH ent's project group Triple7. They consist of the member from the boygroup B.I.G and the girl group 3YE. They have 1 release: Presente. It's a really great song. Also both group seperately are also amazing.
Kard isn't super popular in SK as they're a coed group but Jiwoo dominating in Good Girl brought some much needed attention to the group. They weren't ready for her doing her solos. I highly recommend checking them out.
Yey I am so happy you are checking out KARD. They are so underrated! They are so much fun, I've seen them in concert twice and each time was a blast. They are so kind and funny, genuinely great people :) We're so happy J.Seph is finally back from his enlistment!
Yes!!! I'm so happy you are checking Kard out! They are known by their latin vibes in most of the songs and they also use a lot of spanish words or phrases in their songs. They are currently doing a tour in USA. They are crazy talented.
i don't even listen to them but i enjoy their interviews a lot, specially bc they're pretty popular in south america and they do latin american tours frequently, so they're kinda invested in all the culture and even the language.
Something Special about them , Legends make History ⏳ . 1.Legendary Billlie -Next Level , Evolution and Revolution of Talent . 2. Legendary Dreamcatcher - Power ⚡, Magic and Soul . 3. Legendary KARD - Fire , Heart and Energy .
The only other active coed group I'm aware of is Akmu. They are a brother and sister duo and are very good but not at all like Kard. There have been some other coed groups over the years, but they tended to have the girls dance and sing one verse and the boys do another. They always seemed awkward and didn't last. RBW bought DSP Media recently and Ring the Alarm is their first comeback since. Several RBW producers were involved, and it will be interesting to see how things progress.
Kard are so underrated for their live vocals. It's only 4 of them and they still sing live 99% of the time and sound absolutely amazing.

And I think their pre-debut song Don't Recall is the masterpiece that went down the drain due to the agency's thoughtless, senseless promotion plans.
Love Kard! Gunshot is one of my fave songs along with You In Me! You should definitely react to You in Me, Hola Hola, Ride on The Wind and Bomb Bomb!
There is actually a hidden member in their debut song. The one singing the bridge is Kara‘s Youngji. She was introduced as a „hidden“ card, but was sadly never featured again.
Gunshot is basically about verbal abuse and how much it can mentally hurt a person, sometimes even equal to a physical abuse.
My favorite part of any Dumb Litty reaction video is the face of the viewer when they see Jiwoo's Hera outfit xD

SUPE4 HAPPY YOU REACTED TO KARD , I REALLY LOVE THEM
Oh wow RJ never thought that you will react to KARD. I really love KARD and have been following them since pre-debut. It's quite sad that they are not really well-known in Korea.
ommg their live performance of ring the alarm on yoo hee yeol's sketchbook is just soooooo good, i totally recommend it to you!!!
I love KARD, they're actually the only Kpop group I stan nowdays 🥰 their music are gold and their personalities are the best too, KARD members have that sibling vibe no one expected they would have (for a coed group everybody thought they would end up dating each other) 😎
“Why is everyone in this group so HOT”⁉️⁉️ I KNOOOOOW RIIIIIGHT 😭😭
Kard was one of the first kpop groups I got into. Ring the Alarm has me in A LITERAL CHOKEHOLD
I also just went to their concert in USA. Such a great and fun concert
No full album either
They have a (annoying) siblings relationship.
I once heard KARD described as bisexual fever dream and, honestly, as a bisexual woman, I couldn't agree more
Thank you so much for this reaction ❤. Please react to:
Kard - Red Moon.
Kard - Bomb Bomb.
Kard - You in Me.
Kard - Enemy.
KARD is my ult ❤ their concerts are insane
Gunshot has been on my kpop playlist I adopted but I always skipped this song until I actually listened to it now it's on repeat
All their songs before their official debut were actually my favorite songs from them. Specially 'Oh Na Na' 😊
Oh Na Na dance performance is ❤
Yay! Finally. KARD is a very underrated group. They are very unique and I think they deserve more attention.
KARD is pretty underrated in Korea, they're more well-known in Latin-America since their music are also has some Latin sounds in it. I love their debut song, but I started following them when Red Moon era comes, and it's f-ing hard to pick a bias in this group🙉💆
I loooove kard
With the girls, the easiest way to tell them apart is the voices. Jiwoo has a deeper timbre to her voice and Somin is a lot lighter. Appearance wise, Jiwoo has a more rounded face and Somin's is more oval shaped
I love your intelligent and sophisticated reaction style and always look forward to your updates.
I've always been interested in KARD's songs, but was reluctant to have the chance to hear them. This time, you organized the information and MVs, and it was a good opportunity for me to start listening. I am very happy to watch the MV together. Thank you.
Oh wow you know about dive studios!! I love their podcasts
with your questions about storytelling with kard, i'd think you'd love their song rumor, because it plays around with the he said/she said as they tell the story of a single relationship through two perspectives - the man and the woman, and how the meaning changes depending who sings the lyrics.
Thank you for this!! KARD definitely deserves more recognition, they are more popular outside SK which speaks volumes!
Need more KARD reactions! 😍
KARD- you & me, bomb bomb,
I often wonder how much bi panic KARD has induced since debut. I'm ace myself, but i can appreciate the visuals because these people are gorgeous.
Kard isn't super popular in SK as they're a coed group but Jiwoo dominating in Good Girl brought some much needed attention to the group. They weren't ready for her doing her solos. I highly recommend checking them out.
Idk y KARD are still underrated ?? just give one reason yy they r underrated
Yey I am so happy you are checking out KARD. They are so underrated! They are so much fun, I've seen them in concert twice and each time was a blast. They are so kind and funny, genuinely great people :) We're so happy J.Seph is finally back from his enlistment!
I LOVE KARD SO MUCH. Please react to their other songs too
Some Kard songs= Red moon/Enemy/Whip/Hola Hola/Dimelo
They deserve SO MUCH MOREEEE i love them
Something Special about them , Legends make History ⏳ .
1.Legendary Billlie -Next Level , Evolution and Revolution of Talent .
2. Legendary Dreamcatcher - Power ⚡, Magic and Soul .
3. Legendary KARD - Fire , Heart and Energy .
Lmao i just died when you read Somin's birthdate i was like "what did he saaaayyy 👀"
Gunshot is the first KARD song I ever heard and it's still my favorite❤️🔥
My eyes go to Somin... She is so pretty and I love how she moves... But I love them all
i like their pre debut songs the most like oh nana, don't recall n rumor,
The only other active coed group I'm aware of is Akmu. Several RBW producers were involved, and it will be interesting to see how things progress.
i saw then live in concert and they have the same wonderful energy and talent on stages THANK YOU FOR REACTING TO THEM
I just went to KARD a week ago. They are one of my top active groups. So good!!
Im recently watching them and I love them ❤and yeah they r underatted....
I've been waiting for Actress Jiwoo since Gunshot, like... When?
