Can we just talk about how this smaller German band has risen to insane popularity after making one fun dumb music video. It’s honestly just kinda great to think about, they’re getting the recognition they deserve
It was kinda wild learning they've been around for around 10 years now. They've got a few songs with multi millions of views on spotify but idk if it was mostly post-this song.
Also it's definitely a goofy video, but they put a massive amount of work into making it between production value, layers of pop culture riff offs and just being funny from top to bottom with the song playing into the aesthetic perfectly. You kinda framed it like a meme video that accidentally got a ton of views, but they worked on this sumbitch a lot in the hopes of getting some popularity from it. (not a bad thing to do that fyi)
Led me to some of their other songs and they have some damn good songs.

Brett Tharp you cant deny that this is basically a glorified meme video. Nothing bad meant by that though, but the music video is dumb fun and that’s why they’re getting this well deserved popularity. I’m not saying they didn’t put effort into it I’m just saying that they definitely made this video just for fun. And man is it a lot of fun

A little more Background information for you:
The guy with the blond mullet is their new singer. And to introduce him properly, the band decided to make this over the top style video.
The genre is, as already pointed out by others, Metalcore. Heavy parts mixed with melodic parts (the american Band Killswitch Engage is one of the most known Bands for this genre of Metal).
Eskimo Callboy (Eskimo is the german word for the Inuit, the guys who live in parts of Alaska or Greenland) is well known in Germany for mixing electronic elements into their Songs (for this song they used kind of a sample from the Song "Maria (I like it loud)" from the german Techno Gods Scooter).
This was just a big fun project for them. Make a fun song/album with the new guy, an even more funnier and goofy video.
And the "Dance group" at the End:
Those are german UA-camrs (the man in the middle (Kalle his his Name here on UA-cam) made the Dance Video as a 200k special and the guy with the afro has 1.9 million subscribers (his channel is called HandOfBlood). He was also the Main character in Eskimo Callboy's video for "MC Thunder".
For a different tone and look, you should check out " Crystals" by them.
And of someone wrote "Ehre Alla" in the comments... Thats a catchphrase (i think from HandOfBlood) and it's translated with "Honor Dude".

To the Musclecar-part:
During the 80s, every german guy with a mullet had the dream of driving a Ferrari or a Porsche. American musclecars were present in germany but not that popular. Porsche was a brand that was very exclusive back then and was always connected with wealth and status. This created even a community of Drivers who owned the Opel Manta which was indeed pretty designed but in germany was considered to be the "poor mans Porsche" and its still a meme today when you see a old Manta driving by.

Miami Vice war hier ein ganz klarer Ideenbringer, deswegen war Ferrari in Stein gemeißelt praktisch😂

I think the reason the Ferrari was used is because Ferraris were an 80's status icon. Muscle cars are awesome but I think the Ferrari fits very well with the 80's theme.
Muscle cars were terrible in the 80s, and the only people who bought them were people who wished that it was still the 1960s.

You guessed well, they are germans, so from Europe.
--> in fact some trends stayed in the US... the "Big Muscle Cars" were not that often seen in europe, as for the "Pit Vipers".
A lot of things are similar or parralel, but as far as 80's are concerned, there were certainly some differences ;-)

There were almost no muscle cars in Germany in the 80s or 90s or ever. That’s not something we associate with the 80s. 😉😂 There were mostly German, French, (maybe Asian) and a few Italian cars. The Ferrari is beautiful. ❤

They are from Germany. I'm a metalhead. I've been a metalhead for over a decade. I just can't appreciate other types of music because metal does everything. But well I do like goth rock. Bauhaus, O Children, Christian Death, and I love Classical/Ambient music as well as Cyber Goth techno. But metal is my favorite genre... actually metal is my favorite obsession ever.
The Ferrari is in the Video because of the 80s vibes and the game Outrun. Even though there was never a Testarossa Spider officially so they got the next best thing a F355 Spider, with its 80s Style.
And if you ask why? Go and listen to some Synthwave or Outrun Music and you will understand ;).
