The owner seems to be such an honest and cool guy giving him the full value even after the deal was done that I'm considering going all the way from Canada to sell to him
Kinda low balled. Guess it's a reginal thing. Most shells and figures start at $5, cardbacks, 5 to 10 each, whale around 200 in that condition, rattler, 75, skystriker, 50ish( no seats or chutes). Snow cat unbroken launcher is around $30, etc. Joes are super hot right now, market is softening, but 600 was really low imo. Love the channel and want to stop by your shop. Finished the 82 to 94 joe line, but working on heman
What a guy you are! Not ripping people off and being straight up honest. You still need to make a profit but you are always fair. I could watch hours and hours of you doing deals. You always give a little bit of info on each toy too. I’m in the UK but need to pay you guys a visit!
That is quite the impressive G.I. Joe collection for one kid! Wow! And this wasn't even his only toy collection! I'm glad the boat part finally got extricated haha. Very cool that you added the extra $100 that you had missed in your calculations.
Take your time and sell it by the piece on your own. Takes months to years. OR… If you don’t need the money? Keep it The price only goes up unless you break it. I know… I have a good spread…
Ouch, that guy has know idea how much more he would have made with a little bit of effort. Shops have to make money I get that but man this was actually hard to watch.
LOL yea finding Snake Eyes at my local Walmart is still one of the happiest moments of my life. I remember just staring at the package in disbelief. I wonder why he was always so difficult to find? I had been looking for at least a couple years at that point.
Why don’t they make toys like this anymore. I am looking for an entire set of Inhumanoids so if you ever find them, please reply below. I live in Virginia and will drive to come to get them if you ever come across them
Anyone would have, because its worth way more than what they offered. But that's how stores work. They have to make profit by reselling it. They can't buy it for what it's actually worth.
Very cool of you to realize it was supposed to be $600 and do it. Most people would have relazied and since 5 was agreed on never said a word. Respect.
How did any kid not destroy their childhood toys? it always amazes me. I was lucky enough to have these toys when I was little.....nothing survived! Lol
I love all this stuff. I also highly appreciate the honesty in realizing it was $600 and not $500. Great video guys. I never collected GI Joe, but I did watch the cartoon.
All the people going off in the comments on this video about what something is "worth" are missing the point. Something is only "worth" what you can get someone to pay for it. Sure, maybe dude could sell this stuff on eBay himself. But then he'd have to pay for shipping and deal with the time of packaging it all up and taking it all over the post office piece by piece, over weeks, months, years. Pawn shops, used bookstores, toy stores etc. buy things low and sell things for what they're actually maybe worth or more. That's how they profit, and profit is how they EXIST in the first place. That's because it takes work, money, and time for them to store it, package it, pay emplyoyees, pay bills, etc. If you take used items to a business to sell them, you aren't going to get "what it's worth", for whatever good that ephemeral value is of a nostalgia item that no one actually needs. If you don't understand this concept, then don't ever open your own store, because you'll be out of business within a month or two.
If you watch any of the other videos, they ALWAYS offer top top dollar for everything. Ive seen them pay wayyyy more than most would a few times. Im sure that this was more than fair. Its hard to tell from the video the condition of the figures and everything else. A parts buy is never going to be as high as a pristine collection buy.
The Whale near complete is a hard sell online, unless you can store it for months and wait for top dollar. I ALWAYS piece it out and make more money. Online prices are all over the place too thanks to underproforming auctions.
I hope that guy who commented you were lowballing them a couple videos back sees this. Just when you are about to "lowball" this guy, twist ending, you give him an extra $100 after he's agreed to the deal. This channel turns out to be quite a dramatic series with real payoff if you pay attention to the detailed story!😂
“I guess you can’t say ‘schizophrenic’ anymore…” Yeah, having a villain have an uncontrollable mental disorder probably isn’t the best look for a toy line. Who wants to be the kid who shares an illness with a terrorist?

I love the last 10-15 seconds of this video. It shows that there are honest toy shop owners who are still willing to pay a fair price for someone’s childhood collection. Even if he has to part half of it out. Good man…Can’t get enough Toy Federation content. Wether it’s at the store, or on the road at a con. So, thanks & ☮️

I love that they all on the floor reorganizing the toys in the middle of the shop, while people buy stuff lol, like we use to do as kids when we were choosing our toys to play with.
Always fair with the cash prices especially fair with trades. Most retailers would never even give half value. Of course the seller could have gotten more on ebay but that takes time, packaging, shipping, etc... Most of the hater comments are from individuals who don't know how a brick and mortar work. As a small business owner myself i understand you have rent, insurance, utilities, maintenance, and payroll. What do you have on a busy Saturday? 4 employees to pay? Don't listen to the negative Nellys & keep the great content coming! A+
@joeg6378 ya that was a ton of extras and really great condition. Thats what I'd want to pay too tbh but he has a crew and rent too. Thing is the small guys never get that type of stuff and not have to drive hours to get it. Having it brought to you has to account for something. I wish I had a giant store... collections like that hold more than a dollar amount in my eyes. It's a scarcity thing too....
It’s always easier to unload the whole lot, but you leave a lot of profits on the table doing it that way, but you gain convenience in selling everything at once. Pluses and minuses for sure. I buy and sell Joes and have for years. Guy accepted the offer, Ryan got a smoking deal, and both parties seemed happy, so that’s all that matters in the end. Plus, he sells them differently than I do because like you said he has the brick and mortar shop which is amazing, and has expenses. I think folks glaze over the value of the cards unfortunately though.
That's how all my joe stuff is, just smashed into 10 - 70Lb black/yellow tote bins in the shed. I went through the early 2000s just completing the collection and going on a huge buying spree when people were just dumping their entire collections for nothing, just to get rid of it for some quick cash in hand. I just don't even want to deal with it, I mean I'd love to display it, but I don't have any room and I know if I did, I'll go through 2 or 3 bins then just get sick and tired of sorting it.
This video got me back into collecting my old Joes circa 82-86. Then I got back into POTF, then I got back into Hot-Wheels, lol. I spent 30 years trying to keep toys and posters to a very minimum, now that I'm approaching 50 nobody comes around anyway so I'm putting all that shit up. Awesome video. Definitely one of the best channels I have seen in a long time. Love seeing all the cool toys come together piece by piece! Also cool to see the honesty at the end with giving the extra money even though there was already an agreed upon price.
Great video as always, nice lot of Joes also u picked up. For those that keep bashing them for paying a low price, stop being greedy and or thinking that there gold there, yes a few vehicles weren't bad, and the figs themselves r just for rebuilds. The toy market fluctuates. It's been up and down. I thought it was fair. I don't understand this total disgust people have of always thinking there bring cheated or have to get retail price for there stuff when they sell it. Dream on people . Again that is Toy Fed always top not h in my book.
Nice job handling the guy asking you how to make money. Your experience, you earned and people have to pay for it one way or you can’t be in business. You handled it with class.
Yeah I was just about to say they are providing a service just getting all of the pieces together and providing value information. Not sure how much time it took in this example - but I'm sure they have had cases where they did that and didn't get the deal done. I get why Ryan said he preferred things to come in that way because he and the boys enjoy the thrill of the hunt and you can usually buy for cheaper but sometimes that can be risky as in this case if the guy decided to pass and they just wasted their time. And then the guy has everything in order and like you said - goes to eBay himself. If I were doing this I would stipulate that we'll get it in order for you to come up with a price but if we can't agree on one it's going back the way it came in. ha
I don't know why but this has quickly become my favorite channel..get excited when new vids drop. I like when they drop knowledge or show how they know which pieces go to which set!
$500 seems good. Get these things out there to the big kids who will really appreciate and enjoy collecting them.👍 Could you get more? Of course but, the shop owner still has to flip them. Some may never sell.
You and the TF team ROCK, Ryan!!! I find it silly that people are trying to make the "broke" and "broken" thing a big deal. Language is dynamic and it changes over time to reflect the people that speak it. That's why most people in the South used to call "skunks" "polecats." But the word polecat is not widely used anymore and may not be easily recognizable by most UA-cam commenters. Keep up the great work!
I know your space is limited, but consider buying a table or an area where you can lay out the stuff people bring in. Setting it all on the floor is kind of gross.
For someone that was letting go of his childhood collection of GI Joes. The offer of $600(?) cash is a great deal, mind you all that question TF offer. Some store don't even do that, but give store credit. Again, both parties made out good on this deal in my eyes.
I sold my collection about twenty years ago. I had to move and was getting sick of carting it around. Unfortunately the buyer figured that out . The collection was massive. I had the flagg , defiant, terror drome almost every vehicle and aircraft. With alot of multiples. I probably had over a hundred figures with some cobra troop building.I only had a few of the first year figures. And stopped collecting about a year after cobra la I ended up letting the whole thing go for a regrettable $800 . That one still hurts
With Joes its all about is it complete? Does it have the stickers? Is it faded? Are crotches and fingers broke? If its not complete then it's sold for parts. End of story. People want complete.
I'm no expert but seems like a rather bad deal for that guy. But then again this is a store/reseller so these guys obvioulsy will pay him only a fraction of what it is worth. I guess (hope) the guy was aware of that and ok with it. If you want to sell something for a decent price then sell directly to the consumer and don't sell to a middleman
They totally ripped that guy off that was not cool at all and he should feel like a real piece of shit ……that guy didn’t know any better and came to him for some advice and he totally ripped him off ……he will make 4 grand off all that stuff…….that was not cool at all ……he’ll make his most his money back on just that stack of cardbacks …if not all of it

I don't know why but this has quickly become my favorite channel..get excited when new vids drop. I like when they drop knowledge or show how they know which pieces go to which set!
Anyone know tho the winged figure is at the 11 minute mark? I picked one up at a flea market maybe 10 years ago, and have always wondered.
Like watching Saturday morning cartoons with cereal and then playing with all those Joe's .
They need a full empty room with a couple tables. Every time I watch them trying to sort or do this it drives me nuts haha
Why are you playing Lisa Stansfield "Been around the World" on the TV ,,shouldnt it be He-man or Home Alone or something~ lol
Thank you! I forgot the artist's name
$500 seems good. Get these things out there to the big kids who will really appreciate and enjoy collecting them.👍
Could you get more? Of course but, the shop owner still has to flip them. Some may never sell.
Great collection, would buy!
Keep up the great content
For someone that was letting go of his childhood collection of GI Joes. The offer of $600(?) cash is a great deal, mind you all that question TF offer. Some store don't even do that, but give store credit. Again, both parties made out good on this deal in my eyes.
i love GIjoes. my favorite toy line!! seeing these episodes brings back a lot of memories!!
Honesty is the best accessory.
Been around the world and I I.
And stopped collecting about a year after cobra la
I ended up letting the whole thing go for a regrettable $800 .
That one still hurts
800 20 years ago was a decent payday tho. gotta think minimum wage was like 7.50
Happy Saturday mornings 80s edition i love it lol😁😁
Same to you!
What makes this channel and of course your store....is courtesy and honesty. Actually 600. That is something most shops would not do. Great job.
Love watching you guys FIGURE things out 😅 honestly though, I’ll never get tired of looking at early 80s Joes 👍
With Joes its all about is it complete? Does it have the stickers? Is it faded? Are crotches and fingers broke? If its not complete then it's sold for parts. End of story. People want complete.
Watching these guys unearth what’s inside these boxes makes Saturday morning’s feel like Christmas.
This store is AWESOME! I'd buy from him blind...
Honest, and NOT out to take advantage of his customers
Back again .. love these guys and channel.
Glad you're here!

Every Saturday like clockwork!
Yep yep!
This guy shouldve had his Joe stuff in totes not carboard/ wooden boxes thars asking for discolouring.
That employee has sunglasses on his head all the time, but I’ve never seen him set foot outside
It's for the look!
I wish every record store had a Ryan employed. He seems a pleasure to deal with.
Thank you so much for that!
You're a stand-up guy, Ryan! Good on you for the price correction.
They totally ripped that guy off that was not cool at all and he should feel like a real piece of shit ……that guy didn’t know any better and came to him for some advice and he totally ripped him off ……he will make 4 grand off all that stuff…….that was not cool at all ……he’ll make his most his money back on just that stack of cardbacks …if not all of it
He totally down played the value of all the stuff ……..that totally changed my opinion of him
@@George-de6hd Did you just reply on top of your own reply? Do you have an agenda here, or just too much free time? It’s definitely one of the two.
@@LukeJH11 Yeah, this dude seems angry and dumb.

Great collection. Reminds me of my youth. I played with mine but kept them in pristine condition wish i still had them all lol
Once again another great video and insight into the working of a vintage toy shop.
Keep up the awesome work dudes.
Selling a collection is a relief to me . I no longer have to invest in my addiction.
