Man, it astounds me how we are still finding 40+ year old toys in boxes that are in amazing condition. Its like they have a time machine and go back in time and pluck these from the toy isles at Toys R Us!
@@davidnorton2473 I'm sure it could be done but it would take a monumental effort to fake a lot of things just like it took the same monumental effort for Mattel, Kenner, Hasbro, etc to crank them out. I would think they would be countless different molds for pieces, and accessories and vehicles and playsets, faking something to that detail to appear vintage would take a monumental effort if they were going to do it and be profitable in any real way. I can at least speak for the bionitops in the box in this video ,those are 100% legit because mine is still in the box and looks 100% identical in every way. The "house decorations Christmas" writing on the Star Wars box is so awesome haha! If they hadn't used that box for Christmas decorations it would have probably been thrown out!
I like the Joes. My parents got me every Joe and vehicle from 84-88. Our grocery sold joes, so I always went with mom. I still remember the day getting Storm Shadow at the grocery store. My favorite bronze age Joe was definitely Alley Viper. His shield, middle age like helmet, he was muscular, tall. Just a badass figure.

@@toyfederation Honestly? ALL OF IT. Love seeing the stalls being set up, love seeing the old toys, the discussions and banter. The only thing that ISN'T a favourite is how each ep is seemingly over in the blink of an eye 🤣
It was cool to see the 31 carded Joes in box. It was also great to see loose Joes in the assortment. We didn't really get a good look at the ones you chose from the assortment. Everything else was awesome to see even though I don't have any personal connection to it since I'm a bit too young to remember Bravestar or the Exo Squad.
Knowing very little about Joe's, hearing you guys talk about the variations is so interesting!! You definitely have turned me onto exosquads.. great content.
Going to vacation in the great smokies and we will be staying in Greenville our first night on the way there. The next morning I get to finally come by your store :)
I love Exo Squad. I still have the police guy and Phaeton with their mechs from when my brother and I were kids. The cartoon is great and the SEGA Genesis game is pretty awesome too. Makes me want to re-watch the old cartoon.
I love this channel! Would love to to just go to the store or go to a convention with these guys behind the scenes and watch for one whole day. I'm always going to have a soft spot for 1/18 (3.75) Joes... but all the knowledge to absorb! All the toys 😮
Brave star! I had the carriage and a bravestar when I was like 5, it was awesome. The Joe's took it over a few years later, you can cram a lot into the back! Star brigade sci-fi I remember my parents bought for me, then I traded him for 3 different Joe's and was pretty happy with myself, but they got way upset and I needed to hassle the kid to trade me back.
How many times has the normal person brought something in to a place like this and hear; “oh that is ok, it has some shelf wear and it is worth about $200”. Then the shop owner puts it in a glass case in the shop and says; “you will never find a nicer condition than this”, and proceeds to ask $2500 for it. Lol.
