Your supposed to have a permit for a section of river… but as a Vermonter I say go enjoy the vast outdoor wilderness of Vermont, not hurting anything.

Was considering buying a 36" GMGold trap, for prospecting in central vermont Bridgewater/Chateguay area but worried I may not often have enough flow. Have you used the larger one? Does the 24" perform better in lower flow?

I have not used the 36 inch gmgt. They all struggle in lower flow situations in my opinion. Usually you can find a spot to set up but you might be hauling dirt. I'm guessing either size will do well for you in most conditions.

Out of the many years I’ve lived in New England, I never knew gold existed here. I’m honestly tempted to go hunting now. Just for some info, I go to a college in Putney, VT; are there any good bodies of water nearby where the conditions and geology are just right for gold to be found in?

@@ethanonoratoOh, by “Newfane River,” are you referring to the West River on the eastern side of town, or the Rock River on the southern side of town? There’s two rivers that flow through the town of Newfane, and I’m not sure which one is rife with gold. Are both of them good, or is there one in particular that triumphs over the other?
Edit: wait nvm; just found out it’s the West River.
