Thank you so much guys ❤️ as an Arab (from Saudi Arabia) this is some general informations : - Arabic music have so much different types & different accents too (There are 25 countries in Asia & Africa that claim Arabic as an official language). - in general, Arab States of the Gulf (Khaleeji) songs is chill, very melodical & passionate so the concerts seems a little bit serious lol, however Egyptian music is more fun & make me dance (in my opinion). - I guess Arabic songs usually all about the lyrics, instruments & melodies, not the music video, visuals & story lines... etc. - I guess we're a little bit similar to Latin (for the music, melodies & instruments). - The most famous Arabic musical instruments : Oud, Qanun, Ney, Daf (Efra was interested about it at the final video lol) also violin, saxophone & piano are very common in Arabic music. + I suggest you guys to check out some Fus'haa "Standard Arabic - without accent" Songs such as : Faia Younan - ohebbou yadayka Nour Khan - ghorabaa Kalamesque - Mughrama/I Want to Spend (Arabic Cover) ft. Yazan & Natalie + fun fact : we (Arab people) could pronounce every single sound you may or may not think about it, that's what makes my language so special for me ❤️
I want to recommend you guys old traditional arab artists - Fairuz فيروز Sabah صباح Wadee AlSafi وديع الصافي Melhem Barakat ملحم بركات Personally I prefer the traditional Arabic songs more than the newer ones like from 2010 onwards are not my favorite but they are extremely popular with people
20:30 Rashid Al-Majid is the OG 💘 He's from my country (Saudi Arabia) & he's very popular all around Arab countries, his artistic journey started at the age of 15 & his first public album went to market late 1984! + even if I'm not into Arabic music that much, his songs are different man... ugh. Lyrics : Times get dark and I look up towards the sky, and I gaze through its stars, maybe I could find you. Neither have you known about the longing that's struck me, nor the sky's space would be enough for you. Oh, how I'm in love with you. I prayed to the one who created you, my dearest, that half of the love that's in my heart strikes you, and if your love is crippling, I'm fine with that, I'm fine with that since I couldn't find an as-precious lover. I'm yearning, I'm yearning, and if I tried to hide it, my gleaming eyes will reveal it I miss all of you. I'd die for you and your flaws, until my heart and veins are filled with yearning, and the ground couldn't hold the painful longing. If your absence is a dream, wake me up and I'm well again, and if there's someone else, how could he make you forget a love that no other lover has ever loved a lover before, and the sign that his heart is seeking you to this day? Do you know that despite how I'm choking on your absence? I have a hope that you'd come back to me and I'd come back to your world. No one in this year fits you, and don't you look for anyone who's in love with you like I am.

Thank you I love you guys SO MUCH. You don’t know how satisfying it is how much you understand and appreciate music. Please do check out more Arabic music ❤️
Last song is called barg laah, incase you want to hear the music non- live! Its from uae, and yes especially singers in the gulf region would sometimes drag words as if they are reciting poetry! Because most songs are actually poems fitted onto music to be sung
Thank you for reacting to Faouzia , and yes you pronounced her name right , she's not half canadian actually, but she lives in Canada , she's 21 years old, and she's an engineering student. She worked with Kelly Clarkson, David Guetta, John Legend and Galantis . I would like to recommend her song "Tears of Gold", the stripped version is better in my opinion.
@@allaboutfaouzia8517 In moroccan dialect yeah i know , but Efra pronounced it the way Faouzia herself introduces herself. She also talked about this in her live, and she said that her parents call her the way it should be pronounced in arabic ^^
Wow! Huge respect for you guys! I love the way you discovered different culture through music, you respect the difference in the music and even love it! I love you so much and thank you for reacting to Arab music❤️
If you want to fall in love with arabic music more, listen to older music. Fairouz, sabah fakhri, um kulthoum, melhem barakat.... also some amazing singers from this generation: Abeer Nehme, Goerge nehme, melhem zain...
Half way through and I’m enjoying this so much If you want to check more out u guys definitely have to check Nancy ajram, Ayad tannous( he is my fav Arabic singer atm he is amazing especially live he is also known for covers but ofc he have his own music one of my fav covers of him is ala bali)
I love that you got the feel of the last song. its about someone riding his camel at night and saw from the distance (lightning) in the direction of his beloved’s town so he imagines it is her beauty shining at night. Your necks at the end dancing to the song is exactly what happens when you are riding a camel, I could not believe that you got it.
The instrument at 11:51 is a bagpipes and mostly used in the Arabian gulf region and called (habban) in Arabic, and it was brought to the region by Iranians. The first singer is Lebanese but the song is from the gulf region that's why they used the habban. This flute at 55:52 is called (ny) in Arabic (ryhmes with by). The mandolin-like instrument at 56:07 is called (oud). The 3 instruments at 57:30 are tambourines, and called (duf) in Arabic.
I truly thank you for reacting for different genres of music, and respecting each one,and am also happy that u liked arab music since am an Arab, thank you 🖤
In all these songs, Rashed El Madjid is my favorite, his voice is so warm this isn't your first time doing Arabic music btw, Algerian are Arab fyi I liked this but there are better Arabic songs especially classical ones, Arabic music changes with every country and even in every country there are different genres
@@atikabts3411 You know that Tuareg people are Amazigh as well right? Just Google it lmao and just because we speak Darija (which isn't even understandable to Arabs from the Middle East), doesn't make us Arabs. Wallah just look things up from reliable sources. We don't share the same dna. However, during their conquest in North Africa, they brought some of their cultural influences and religious beliefs with them. Do you get what I am trying to explain to you? We are not Arabs and never will be, but yes they had some type of influence in our culture today.
1:01:30 U guys should look for the “yolah” Emirati dance (يولة رقصة شعبية اماراتية) It has the same “let it simmer” concept and u actually move your hands like you are doing it unintentionally😂😂😂😂
Those drums u were curious about are called the "Duff" they are made with stretched goat skin then they leave it in the sun to dry and the longer it is in the sun the stronger the sound gets
Wow. I’ve been following the dimash journey and yall surprised me with this. As an arab from Iraq 🇮🇶 I loved this reaction. U literally picked every genre and I love it
Third song: the rhythm is called Maqsoum used mostly in Egypt and the Levant countries (Lebanon, syria, Jordan, Palestine), it is played by at least 3 instruments + ..1-tabla 2-req 3-doom and yes its exactly like bachata, thank you for sharing that now im in love with bachata. 🤝
React to Oum Khaltoum - Enta Omri next time, this song will always be my favorite one from arabic music, a freaking CLASSIC! And Alabina ft Gypsy Kings - Ya Habibi Yallah is a classic from the 90s mixing arabic and spanish it's a banger really
This was great! So different. The only one I've heard of is Faouzia and she is just WOW! Just as a side note she just turned 21 on the 5th of July. Efra I've heard you mention some gaming in some of your comments so you'll just love her latest video! It is a lot different than most. Waleska insightful and beautiful as ever! Always look forward to your posts. You music is also very very good really enjoyed it!
Someone already mentioned this but, arabic music and especially khaliji music is often written as poems by poets and that's why there's an emphasis on lyrics and you can hear a "drag" because arabic poetry is written in divisions we call "abyat" (plural) Disclaimer: I'm not a specialist in music or arabic literature but that's my take as an arab lol
I used to live in the Arab world (Jordan) I stayed there for 10 years, during my stay I learned the language both the Standard version and some other dialects, I picked up a taste for the different versions of Arabic music as well, I do consider my self an arab to some extent I know a lot about their culture traditions and way of thinking, I love all of it except for some things one of which is that there’s a degree of racism that I think is accepted among arabs and they don’t think twice about it especially against african and south asian people, I only bring this up because Meryam Fares appeared in black face in her video and most Arabs didn’t find that problematic. I hope my Arab brethren would one day become aware of how offensive they can be and try to do something about it.
i see it more classism than racism, a very light skinned blue eyed red haired Syrian professional would get lesser salary than a very dark skinned African American. A Filipino designer & Indian businessman would be treated better than Yemeni Arabs (regardless their skin some very light some very dark) hard labours. Not all Arabs are classist/rcist, most are cool & treat everyone kindly regardless. For ones who are, what Id like to do just quoting them these: If they were Muslims Qur'an 49: 13 _"O mankind! We created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that ye may know each other not that ye may despise (each other). Verily the most honoured of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you."_ Prophet Mohammed pbuh last sermon _"All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab, nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority over black, nor a black has any superiority over white except by piety and good action."_ If they were Christians Mark 12:31 _'"The second most important command is this: Love your neighbor the same as you love yourself. These two commands are the most important."_ Atheists Dawkins (supposedly) _"Everything & everyone is only carbon."_
The last performance was done by the singer his name Mehad Hamad, he is from United Arab Emirates and it was back in Abu Dhabi city in Feb 2020 before covid precautions happened. He is folklor traditional singer and famous in UAE. The song lyrics is about a girl he saw her passing and he couldn’t forget her coz she was so beautiful. Glad u enjoyed it guys
Just found you guys channel, and I adoreeee your commentary, very informative and insightful unlike most reaction channels, and your excitement and ambition and willingness to learn about different cultures is contagious. Amazing guys. 👏👏👏 Bravo, so happy I found you. Subscribed From Saudi Arabia
Wow thanks for reacting to arabic music. There are many maq'amat in arabic music, it differs from country to country and each are influenced by each other sometimes. Even the instruments are different. You will especially notice that in more traditional or old songs from the 50s onward.
Minefields is a great song to react to , Faouzia wrote it and then they suggested to John Legend to feature in the song and btw Charlie Puth is on the piano for Minefields. John legend is in GOOD music ( label) not in Atlantic records
I was born in Venezuela, and moved to a country in the middle east called Jordan when I was 7 years old. I love your reactions and openness to other cultures. Love you guys, keep up the good work.
Fun fact about the 3 dakat song , all the models in this song are very famous egyptian actors and actresses and they were doing this song as the opening for al gouna film festival which is held in egypt 🇪🇬

Nah they Said her name wrong
@@allaboutfaouzia8517 In moroccan dialect yeah i know , but Efra pronounced it the way Faouzia herself introduces herself. She also talked about this in her live, and she said that her parents call her the way it should be pronounced in arabic ^^
@@hilaryy5654 I know what faouzia said in der stream. It’s still wrong.
@@allaboutfaouzia8517 you're funny ^^ you know what she said and still thinking that everyone needs to call her the way her moroccan parents do? x)
@@hilaryy5654 they Said the canadian Version wrong ._.
I'm Arabic and it's to weird to see you listening to our songs 😂😂😂😂😂😂

As a Saudi Arab I truly enjoyed this. You guys did a great job here! The diversity of the signers and selection was so good!
Almajed is the most favorable singer in the Arabian region, especially in the Arabian gulf countries :) we are so proud of him he’s a great artist
يمه لحظه ما اتفقنا على كذا صدموني 😭😭😭😭
If you want to fall in love with arabic music more, listen to older music. Fairouz, sabah fakhri, um kulthoum, melhem barakat.... also some amazing singers from this generation: Abeer Nehme, Goerge nehme, melhem zain...

انا ولا انتي 😭😭😂💔
I love that you got the feel of the last song. its about someone riding his camel at night and saw from the distance (lightning) in the direction of his beloved’s town so he imagines it is her beauty shining at night. Your necks at the end dancing to the song is exactly what happens when you are riding a camel, I could not believe that you got it.
Omgshhh so excited!!!!! Love from Morocco 🇲🇦❤
omg this is amazing never seen someone react to Arabic music before. It makes me happy as an Arab to see your reaction.
Thank you for the beautiful reactions 💙 rashed is really one of the biggest names in the Arabic singing industry 💛
The 3 instruments at 57:30 are tambourines, and called (duf) in Arabic.
tears of gold (stripped) by faouzia is a must !
Faouzia is just incredible !!! i'm so glad to see you react to her !
Please check out more Faouzia content. She is an amazing vocalist!!!
I truly thank you for reacting for different genres of music, and respecting each one,and am also happy that u liked arab music since am an Arab, thank you 🖤
FAOUZIIAAA ♥♥ Please more of her music "Tears of Gold , stripped"
I’m so happy you checked out Myriam Fares she’s such a queen you guys have to check more of her❤️❤️❤️🥺 you pronounced her name right i was shocked! 😂
In all these songs, Rashed El Madjid is my favorite, his voice is so warm
this isn't your first time doing Arabic music btw, Algerian are Arab fyi
I liked this but there are better Arabic songs especially classical ones, Arabic music changes with every country and even in every country there are different genres
Algerians are not Arabs for YOUR information
@@cel6131 and what are we then?
@@atikabts3411 You don't know North African history? We are Imazighen.
@@cel6131 not all of us, there are Arab, Touarag, Amazigh...

U guys should look for the “yolah” Emirati dance
(يولة رقصة شعبية اماراتية)
It has the same “let it simmer” concept and u actually move your hands like you are doing it unintentionally😂😂😂😂
Yess i agree
ما انصدمت على انهم مسوين رياكشن على اغاني عربية كثر انه مدة الفيديو ساعةة يا كثر هرجهم
i love seeing people reacting to faouzia for the first time. i love her!!
U literally picked every genre and I love it
I'm so happy you guys discovered faouzia, I hope you do more reaction to her music
U should listen to abadi aljoher “حب ايه" oud, he’s a legend..
Hundred percent agree with him when he says he wishes to see more Arabic influence in Fouzia than the mainstream market typical linear songs.
OMG PLEASE MORE FAOUZIA IM SCREAMING
omg i love faouzia 💕 great reaction 💕
Love from ksa🇸🇦💚💚
This was great! So different. The only one I've heard of is Faouzia and she is just WOW! Just as a side note she just turned 21 on the 5th of July. Efra I've heard you mention some gaming in some of your comments so you'll just love her latest video! It is a lot different than most. Waleska insightful and beautiful as ever! Always look forward to your posts. You music is also very very good really enjoyed it!
yousra’s song was such a hit when it came out💖💖 it’s such a happy vibes song
Someone already mentioned this but, arabic music and especially khaliji music is often written as poems by poets and that's why there's an emphasis on lyrics and you can hear a "drag" because arabic poetry is written in divisions we call "abyat" (plural)
Disclaimer: I'm not a specialist in music or arabic literature but that's my take as an arab lol
I love Arabic music been hooked for like 4 months
For ones who are, what Id like to do just quoting them these:
If they were Muslims
Qur'an 49: 13
_"O mankind! We created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that ye may know each other not that ye may despise (each other). Verily the most honoured of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you."_
Prophet Mohammed pbuh last sermon
_"All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab, nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority over black, nor a black has any superiority over white except by piety and good action."_
If they were Christians
Mark 12:31
_'"The second most important command is this: Love your neighbor the same as you love yourself. These two commands are the most important."_
Atheists
Dawkins (supposedly)
_"Everything & everyone is only carbon."_

You should check out Faouzia's Bad Dreams (stripped version) or her song with John Legend. The girl is so underrated still.

RASHED AL-MAJED MY FAVORITE SINGER!!!!!
Fun fact about the 3 dakat song , all the models in this song are very famous egyptian actors and actresses and they were doing this song as the opening for al gouna film festival which is held in egypt 🇪🇬
The middle eastern drum ring is called Daf.
