Person First Language. Open Captioned.
Using People First Language puts the person before the disability. It allows us to focus on what we have in common and our strengths instead of what is different. It isn’t that disability isn’t a part of that person’s life… it’s just that it doesn’t have to be the one and only defining aspect of their personality.
