Whoopty has been trending on TikTok for a minute. It's just not trending on it's official audio on TikTok .It's on a custom audio. Similar to how remixes blow up on tiktok.
is it really? I mean all bigger songs are bound to be on tik tok to some degree but from my research it didn't seem like a song that blew up solely from Tik Tok. Like it had a little bit of steam already yaknow?
also just checked the Tik Tok weekly charts. it is the 349th most popular track on Tik Tok. I didn't scroll down that far during research. Currently at 12k posts (weekly) which is a lot. But when I recorded this video it wasn't as high. The growth is going up an insane amount every day lol
This is heat definitely keep the series up and hopefully it can evolve to not just the unsigned or independents but also these “major” label or signed artist that are taking streams too. Data is Data. Got my water ready..
A friend of mine has over a million streams on his only song on Spotify, he blew up on TikTok playing an acoustic version of his song before it released and it got noticed by David Dobrik, which built him a lot of hype for the song. After it released I'm pretty sure it got put on a couple spotify curated playlists after it dropped.
I'm rockin' with like 25 streams on Spotify and I'm thankful for all of them! Gotta get some marketing tactics down so I can create a strong push. But, all glory to God!
Man what you said about being in ny and not having to be known anywhere else to have a successful career is true asf ... I love in a small town , everyone knows me , but since it’s a small town , I’m still not very successful, which is why I target specific areas to promo my music. I hope someone finds this helpful.
CJ’s music was advertised as a UA-cam advert. I was spammed for months before the song blew up on UA-cam. He definitely paid to have the track promoted.
These videos help so much, it’s like doing research on what to do with my music, without going through all the bs websites, just getting raw advice directly
@@Joseph.Gallardo when a label pushes an artist that hasn’t blown up yet, they tend to wipe out their Spotify pages so the one song they’re promoting gets maximum exposure, their old songs don’t match their current vibe, etc. You can see that with multiple artists, take the kid laroi for example. I remember when he first did the song “Let it Go” with Cole Bennett. It was the only song on his Spotify, because the label wanted to expose that song as much as possible. The evidence is soundcloud. No one makes money off of soundcloud so labels don’t wipe their pages on that platform, and you see how he has a shit on of music way before releasing “let it go”.
Always 3 reasons: 1) They know someone in the music industry and they get placed in big playlists without any merit or effort 2) They pay a lot of money for playlist placements, ads and marketing 3) They get lucky and get picked up by spotify editorial team. That can easily push your song to over 1M streams in no time.
Being an Indie musician, I feel your pain Patrick. I believe a good many artists have a fast track to the editorial playlists, especially if they are signed. I learned managed and singed artists pay a fee for radio campaigns through "spin companies" who have close ties to the DJ's that have radio shows and play their type of music. I checked the local "spin company" here, and the select artists they represent and their music definitely gets prioritized treatment by the DJ's no matter how good the release of another musician is.
My music does millions of streams and I’m on no editorial playlist and I have no label. I basically created a new genre that’s christian conservative music. No major co-signs either.

Akademiks spoke about this. The song is good. But labels pay and make moves to get specific songs onto Apple and Spotify editorial playlists. That's how they blow up. Others songs can be just as good but they don't have a label pushing to get the song onto editorial playlists
You should go check out my boy Young Habibi. He got 500k streams on spotify and 700k on soundcloud for his second song ever Trust Me I Know.
