Well done! You know one of the things I really love about this game's combat, is how you can really feel and see the difference of everyone's skill level in the game. It doesn't just feel like its the same for everyone. A novice feels like a novice, a solid player feels like a solid player, and a true master of the combat feels like a true master. Everyone has their own playstyle too. The combat in this game really did a good job at letting you play how you want to play. I honestly think this game has arguably the best combat in any game period.
It's been this way since the first game. Yeah, if you know some glitches you could APPEAR as higher skill than you are, but if someone saw you play and then saw someone who is actually the level you APPEAR to be, they can tell. It's what I love about God Of War as a whole, even though I'm not good enough to play on the higher difficulty 😅

Well said. Best combat in any game in any genre goes to God of War. This is currently the gold standard.
@@thecraigstream Facts. It doesn't get much better than this currently when it comes to games like this. Of course there's other games with great combat too, like the Arkham games which work perfectly for that kinda game. But there's just a different kinda skill it takes for something like God of War.

I think that the best part of this combat is the fact that you can see how the player is still having fun. It just looks like fun and like he is in the flow. Loved the whole video, would watch again

The difficulty is shown in the top right throughout the video. There's a setting that allows you to showcase your difficulty on screen.

That's the power of the shatterstar shield. If you can perfect the timing, you can shield bash parry red attacks, including that drop attack that was done in this video that was dodged using the forward dodge attack of the blades

This kinda makes me think about how Kratos would be as a Boss. Like, he'd have to be a piss-take kind of boss, right? As in, you COULD fight him, but you wouldn't be able to get a single hit in before being absolutely destroyed.

I think Kratos 2018 it was more fastes than Kratos in Ragnarok, in 2018 the attacks was more chaotic but fastes and powerful ; in Ragnarok Kratos you get the feeling that Kratos is heavier, slower, although his attacks, although slow, seem to be more impactful, each blow he delivers seems to destabilize the enemy.
But I really don't have much of an idea haha, I'm just saying what it seems.

Something I think makes Kratos way more intimidating in this fight, is that Realm Shift doesn’t slow time down. It makes Kratos go faster. From Hrolf's perspective, Kratos is just moving at the speed of sound.
And he didn't even use Spartan Rage once, very impressive!

Good to see this kind of videos 6 weeks before pc release, I noticed that you can dodge farther with that blades move🤔interesting, now I have to test every move in 2018 gow😂
All blade special moves have been completely changed, except for the classic ones. In terms of mobility, the blades are more powerful than in 2018.
I cheesed this on the easiest setting and still thought it was challenging lol These videos made me realize I don't even remotely understand the combat of this game. Still had fun though!

Started the game on PC, started with give me no mercy for new game, being enjoying it so far, for New game + , ill do give me God of war. I had finished the original 2018 with full 100% trophies, that's why i can play the 2nd hardest difficulty easily on my first run.

This is so amazing. I remember particularly having a problem with his ground slam AOE at 2:03 but in this video it looks like you blocked it? I’m confused cause he glows red when he does it so I thought you’re supposed to get away
