      Lindy Fay Hella, her voice is a gift from the Norse dieties no doubt, and I am fascinated by her dark raven beauty but the way she moves and dances I can't take my eyes off her, she totally magnetize me, I am crazy for her.

    It's always pleasing that a group sounds almost exactly the same live as they do in comparison to a video recording.

    This is gorgeous, and Einar Selvik is brilliant. He doesn't deserve to have his music "claimed" by right-wing bucketheads, in fact he's spoken out publicly AGAINST one neo-Fascist group, the Sons of Odin. His music is not exclusively "pagan", and people have the right to enjoy this irregardless of their race or religion, because good music is universal!

      No you weren't, because while this music is meant to evoke ancient Norse society, it is entirely modern. We don't really know what real Norse music sounded like (no recording equipment until about 100 years ago) but they probably would not have had amplification, and really....at that time, most people were farmers and thralls, and probably would not have had much chance to listen to music anyway, unless they served in the hall of a great warlord or king, because only the wealthy could afford to support skalds!

      The instrument called Munnharpa , in English: Jaw harp , This is one of the oldest instruments in the world . and , I play on this instrument in my folk band , but in my culture this instrument called : doromb

    • @sarahgray430
      @sarahgray430 6 років тому +1

      It's called mouth harp, jaw harp...and an older name for it is Jew's Harp. It's found in a wide variety of folk styles, including European, Near Eastern, African, and Appalachian...in fact, I'm most familiar with it from old Westerns!

    • @sarahgray430

    There probably will be a shitton of white suprematicists replying to this comment in not-so-pleasant ways after I post it but to be honest, this does sound a lot like Turkic music actually.

    • @blackomega34
      @blackomega34 8 років тому

      +Manguch Beg Calling them white supremacists is stupid in its own way. However, it's almost guaranteed that people will think that considering Folk Metal's terrible reputation on that front. Yes, I notice the Turkic sound as well.

    • @fririkjuliusjosefsson5512
      @fririkjuliusjosefsson5512 8 років тому

      +Manguch Beg The jaw harp that one guy is using in the back has his origins from Turkey and was used a lot by the jews

    • @tamerofhorses2200
      @tamerofhorses2200 8 років тому

      Friðrik Júlíus Jósefsson
      I know the origins of the jaw harp but that wasnt the only thing in this music that gave the feeling of Turkicness.

    • @magnuschristianssen8999
      @magnuschristianssen8999 7 років тому

      Not all Christians dislike this, remember that we separate our secular interests (like this) from our "faith walk" so there is no contradiction.

    • @sarahgray430
      @sarahgray430 6 років тому

      Nah...Muslims enjoy good music whenever they hear it, and so do Christians, because good music is pretty much universal and goes beyond race and religion. It's Miley Virus and Lady Make Me Gaga that they want to ban!
