Can't wait to see what Kenya's Emmanuel Wanyonyi has to offer this season. Finished fourth in his first senior championships. A huge bag of potential there.

Incredible that Korir ran significantly faster in the second lap than the first. That’s insanely hard to do. Well measured from Korir, who always seems to make it happen when it counts.

I grew up with the Swazis in South Africa and they loved to bring a degree of drama to the closing of a race by that same rhythmic head-nodding. It's both a habit and a cadence ritual that Korir has used for some time now ;)

That Canadian will be a problem. He has the physique of Rudisha, if he can shed some weight he might dominate this race. As for Wanyonyi his tactic let him down. He had to push all the way from the back during the last 200m. If he had stayed in the middle instead of back, he could have ended up on the podium.
