There’s not enough o’s in smoooth to describe Art Monk. Absolute legend. Always clutch catching the ball for 12 yards on 3rd and 10. One of my favorite things about him was when he would make a big play and just get up and walk back to the huddle. No spike. No chest pounding. No first down signaled. All class all the time. I miss that.

He was also selected to play in the Pro Bowl following the 1984, 1985 and 1986 seasons. Nine times during his 15-season career with the Redskins, New York Jets, and Philadelphia Eagles, Monk exceeded 50 catches in a season and five times gained more than 1,000 receiving yards. His record for most receptions in a season (106 in 1984) stood until broken by Sterling Sharpe's 108 in 1992. Thanks for this one, I got to see it on tv because I grew up in the buffalo area. I remember the bills sucked that year but they had just beat Dallas and western my were expecting a repeat performance from the bills
We had those GE rechargeable batteries in the commercials. Then I found out those charging stations could recharge cheap batteries just as easily. After about a year the cheaper batteries would degrade and leak. Still useful for a year.
