Thanks for the informative and thorough review of the Pianoforall course. I already purchased the course on a whim during a sale on Udemy for less than a couple of beers. Haven’t started it yet but the tip to go through the last book around step 4-5 is going to be a life saver for me when I do…!
Thank you for a fantastic informative review! It told me exactly what I need to know to make a decision on this course. This kind of information is hard to come by.
Thank you so much for doing a review of this course. I am shopping for a beginner's piano course that allows me to learn chords instead of endless notes. You have thoroughly explained it well and giving us a glimpse of what each e-book looks like inside gave me a better idea if it is a teaching style I can learn easily from. I wonder what type of beginner's piano or keyboard can you recommend? Thank you once again.
Thank's for your comment, Darl! When it comes to the piano for beginners, I always recommend the digital piano with hammer mechanism...it means the keys have similar touch and depth like classical piano...unlike semi-weight or non-weight keys - these are not good for learning. There are tons of keyboards with hammer keys from Yamaha, Korg, Kurzweil, Roland and other brands...so it depends on your budget.
Curious if you would comment on OTHER COURSES that would be in the chord / lead sheet STYLE of teaching that PianoForAll uses here? Are there any SERIOUS COMPETITORS TO CONSIDER in that arena?
I already know how to read sheet music but does this app teach you to read sheet music and will you be able to play classical music after using this course? I have a classical book I’m kinda new but i don’t like the teaching style of just learning scales and practicing sheet music all the time but i don’t not want to use sheet music if that makes sense i still wanna be able to read it clearly and play it if that makes sense?
You said you can use on all devices (iOS, android , Mac, windows etc) but can I use on multiple devices with one account ? Start a lesson on my laptop , then later maybe use iPad or iPhone , or Vice a versa?
Hi Vic, yes, once you buy the Pianoforall, your can login on any device, there are instruction on how to download the e-books to iPhone, iPad, Android, Mac and PC.
Well, I suppose you mostly need to play from sheet...If you want to improve sight-reading, I recommend piano marvel: www.pianomarvel.com?promoCode=bestmusic, they have nice sight-reading tool and repertoire mostly focused on classical music....a here I found some course for congregational song leading, but I don't know the quality and if it is what you are looking for: beneversonmusic.com/products/congregational-song-leading-video-course Good luck!
Nice review. Sir I have enrolled in the course and currently in section 1 of the course. I am learning piano as a hobby and my question is will it enable me to play song with arpeggios? I’m from India and want to play bollywood songs with arpeggios on left and melodies in right. Is it the course for me or should I look for other course. ?? Please reply🙏🏻
@@BestTrader-hp2sdI left learning from it. I wanted to play bollywood song more and play in Indian style. This course is wonderful but anyone who want to play bollywood song right away won’t find it suitable as far as i know. And in the beginning few books you will only play rhythm
It has a lot of downloads. Does anyone know the size of the files? Or if the pdf books can go into a kindle? Very concerned about the number of gigabites in this program. Help?
I have the modern version of Pianoforall, and each file is around 0.1 to 0.4 GB (100 to 400 MB), with all of them together topping off at around 4.6 GB.
@@BestTrader-hp2sd Sorry for missing your message. It will allow you to gain a foundation which you can use as a springboard to continue to progress to a professional, but it won't make you a professional on its own. It gets you to late beginner/early intermediate. Do keep in mind that it has a focus on playing with chords and by ear rather than reading sheet music; it does help you get started in a flexible and immediately-satisfying way due to this, though.
Not much help without any reasoning. Someone wishing to learn classical approach to reading from a staff should NOT be a "fan" of it, as covered in the overview.

What is the difference between udemy and website version?
Does udemy include all contents from website?
What if I want to sing and play for some bugs on the streets or simply accompany my singing on a record. Would the course be sufficient for this task?

Thank's for your comment, Michele. Well, the price on Udemy is much higher, but anyway, I hope you will like the Pianoforall course:)

Yes, it does
