Ive tried three different adapters and three different cables. it still wont charge. I've taken the battery oit all day now. I have a samsung s5 and its only 8months old... it gives me a gray battery and a lightening bolt and it blips on and off. I've put it in to safe mode and still nothing. im agitated over this.
I fixed my probkem when my s5 showed the lighting but just turned off I try charging it on a conputer or xbox then after awhile charge it using a charger that only has 1 metal part on the charging cable dont use the charger that has the double charging parts
phone doesn't charge at all. But when turned off, charging logo appears for 5 seconds then comes off and back on and repeats this cycle over and over. Still not gaining charge.
The method of holding the power button didn't work for me at first. I cleaned the contacts, tried it again, still didn't work. I read something on a forum about holding the power button in for a minute with no battery, but with the charger in, and that finally worked for me.
You know what benefited me? Raging and throwing the phone at a wall. Didn't help with the charging, but helped me be satisfied to unleash my anger and frustration from that piece of shit. :)
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! Toothbrush bristles in the USB port cleared out dust/water corrosion and now the phone charges again. I almost (and with reluctance) bought a new phone today. Made my day. Thanks again.
My phone was absolutely not responding, because I popped out the batter WHILE it was charging. Holding the power button resolved it for me. Thank you very much, you saved me a lot of headache!
Taking battery out for 20 seconds worked. Unbelievable! Why didn't I find your recommendations 5 bleeping days ago? I had already: gently tried to remove any dust from port; tried all the cords and plugs (5 cords, 3 plugs) and outlets; went to see how much a port replacement would cost and they quoted me $60?! Gee, it's not because I look like a tired, old lady, is it? Prepared to replace myself. Step by steps all over UA-cam. Sheesh. THANK YOU SO MUCH! Fingers crossed. I am really poor right now. So grateful for your help!
I have tried everything for my daughter's phone. this is a month old phone at that and it just will not charge. every time I try to charge it, it starts vibrating over and over like it starts then stops charging every second. ugh what do I do
Thank you so much!!! I have been having charging problems for almost 2 years now and YOU! You stopped that for making this video! Subscribed , like and added to my playlist
THANK YOU!!!! My Galaxy 5 wouldn't turn on. So, taking the battery out and holding the power button down for 30 seconds and placing battery back in WORKED!!! Omg...I'm grateful!
+Malkhut hinds-bernard No prob!. And if u are interested in tons of weekly giveaways stay active on channel and comment the country you live in here: ua-cam.com/video/N4gwj0CtPwE/v-deo.html
No joke: that "Hold the power button for 30 seconds with the battery out" sounds like superstitious nonsense, but it TOTALLY WORKED and my phone turned back on afterward. Thank you!
You positively saved me from buying a new phone. I didn't realize just how much dust gets in that charging port on the phone. It does not take much dust to insulate so that it will not charge. Thank you so much!
Dude, I can´t believe this actually worked. I left my phone on the floor with the charger conected and a water leak flood my house while I was sleeping and after that I had to put the cord in a certain position in order for it to charge my phone (it was constantly getting disconnected) after cleaning the charging port with a tooth brush and a little knife, dust and rust came out of the port, I blow it a couple of times and started working. I was about to pay someone to replace it, thank you so much!!!
Taking out the battery, smacking the phone, and holding power button for over a minute seemed to fix my hazard battery warning when charging. great video!
Thank you very much for this video. I've had this problem for a day now and I've popped out the battery for ten whole seconds and put it back in. Then, I put my charger back in and it went up to 58% instantly. I'm glad there's people out there sharing many methods in order to help others with this annoying issue.
Can't believe it. I tried so many things. Nothing worked. Came across this video and did the 30 second thing. Popped the battery back in and it powered up just fine. Thanks for your help.
When i charge my galaxy s5 it charges but when i disable charging my battery quickly dies like 99% then 98 then 97 .... and after 20 min it comes to 75 and then How to fix that problem.
This worked great! I was so worried I'd have to get a new phone(that I can't really afford). But because of your video, I didn't have to! Thank you so much! :-)
I'm so close to switching over to Apple. You see I have an iPod touch 5th gen. Not sure how different they are from an iPhone, but I've had my iPod for 5 years now (it can't update to the new iOS anymore) and it's still working better than my Samsung phone of which I've only had for 2.5 years. But I'll try these and see if anything works. It just stopped charging out of nowhere and I've bought a new android charger but same problem. It keeps disconnecting even though I know the plugs are snug in the port. It's annoying when you think you've charged it overnight but wake up and it's at 37% because somewhere along the way it must've disconnected and battery drained.
my s5 was showing a hazard triangle.... I simply took the battery out, press the power button for almost 2 minutes, clean the port thoroughly (tooth brush & floss pick. It was DIRTY!). put the battery back in and whooalah!. thanks for the video dude
Thanks, I was so close to throwing my phone out a 10 story window out of frustration because it wasn't charging but your tutorial fixed it and my phone thanks you aswell =) I roughly counted you saying "GUYS" about 26 times LMAO. =) Thanks again
wow thank you so much, I did the draining the static trick and it started working and charging again! Saved me money and a trip and a fight with my boyfriend ! Thank you your a genius!
The S5 version (as well as many other Galaxy versions) comes with a serious energy issue. Samsung claims it has a super-ultra-power-saving feature that makes your phone holds up to one week without charging. What turns out is that many phones were returned back to samsung with severe Batery drainning, charging, blackout and so on issues. The phone is very fragile and sensible to mechanical shocks (like falling at the floor). So if you are experiencing charging issues with a Samsung, use it as a Door-holder or a soap-support.
Thank you for posting this! I never would have thought but all I had to do is the smack method on the power button and it works now! I am Soo relieved. Thanks again.
Thanks a lot! You saved me $150. I had the incompatibility charger error. The removed battery and hold the power button for 30 sec did the trick! You are awesome and the Verizon store guys sucks. He's being paid to know this shit and he doesn't. lol
Thank you so much for this video. Woke up this morning with my phone charging all night and it read 34%. It drained all the way down to 2% despite being plugged in for hours. I even replaced the battery which fortunately was tested at the store and didn't charge either so they didn't charge me for it. The thing that worked the most was cleaning the charge port and draining the internal power by removing the battery and holding the power button for 1 min. Thank you so much again for saving my phone.
If you need a temporary fix follow these instructions (Adults only for obvious reasons) I have been doing this now for a few weeks.. Cut your charger wire (close to to part that plugs into your phone) peel off the plastic from the red and black wires that you will find inside, so the wire inside them is exposed. Twist them as to make them easier to work with etc. Make sure the red does not touch the black, they need to stay separate. You can now join these two wires to the back of the phone where you would connect a wireless charging pad. Red goes on the left, black goes on the right. just tape them into place each time you charge your phone. You can do this for as long as you want untill you get your charging port fixed or you buy an actual wireless charging kit. Yes it is safe.... just don't put your tongue on the exposed wires whilst it's plugged in and you should be fine. Thank me later when your phone is on 100% Also there will be other wires inside the main wire but you don't need these as they are for carrying data etc (seeing as it's a usb cable also) just bend these out of the way and tape them up or cut them. your choice.
Great! Was really helpful! My phone was not charging anymore for some reason! I used the 30 sec power button hold and ta-da! It works! Great! Big Thanks!
What happened to me if it randomly turns off I put a sticky note to fill in the empty space next to my battery because it was sliding out of place thus my phone turned off it worked
Yes thank you! Nobody at Bell was helpful whatsoever. You've saved me so much money. My port wasn't charging and I was using the wireless charger which took way too long to charge and didn't last. The holding power button when battery out method worked for me. It's charging now so fingers crossed the battery lasts.
my phone just vibrates for like 2 seconds when I try to turn it on but won't show screen and when charging same thing but its does it every few seconds
yea my phone just took a shit on me not sure if it was from an update, probably though but now my phone is dead so I gotta buy another battery just to try and fix it.. my question is how do you check which updates and where do you go to find the updates??
Thank you for your video. Just taking the battery out for a few seconds helped. I appreciate the video. I hope to be as helpful to someone in the future.
My S5 Neo wasn't charging, the battery was at 4% and I used the method of taking the battery out and holding the power button, and it freaking worked! Lol thank you! I was freaking out because it'd cost $200 to fix the port or exchange my phone and lose all my stuff. 😦😦 THANK YOU! lol
How about the cords that came with the phone charge to a certain point or actually reverse charge, but....use a cord for my other old phone, which fits Galaxy 6 and my I Pad works to charge it super fast and so does my work computer! The cords it came with stopped being worth anything after only 3 months of having brand new!!
ok well i changed the adapter, then i changed the cables, then i tried smack it on the on/off button, i tried using a tooth pick to clean out any dust in the area where you plug in the charging wire, i changed the battery (brought a new one ) so i also held down the power button for 30secs and again for 1 min, so the yellow button still comes on when i connect the charging cord to the phone so now i guess i have to buy a usb replacement part . i really liked your video it was very helpful
Basically, I was told that's not how to charge a battery the battery comes out of the device and goes on a charger.. the usb port is for file sharing You can blow fuses and worse jumping a battery *in a vehicle* That one way is like jumping a battery with jumper cables, and there is GPS device connected to the battery and website.. I bought that phone 3 years ago used for over a year.. I just kept buying new batteries (my relative *had* a store, so back then I got the Batteries cheap) It's still a nice phone, I just got tired of replacing batteries.. It took great photos.. I might even buy one of the chargers for the batteries only (plus see if it charges all the spare batteries up) and buya new NFC RING and give it as a gift..(BUT IF IT ALL WORKS IT'S A NICE PHONE STILL) It was the first phone i had that I could use as a remote to tvs and the Xbox.. They make GPS device the same price as some NFC rings and NFC batteries The GPS device holds info and URL WEBSITE LINK information..you sign the GPS devices up online So I also wondered do I sign the battery up with my SAMSUNG account ha ha ha I DON'T KNOW WHAT TYPE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION MIGHT HAVE BEEN SAVED IN THE FIRST BATTERY.. Or if the first owner had an NFC smart ring, i was told the ring can change the volume on your tv by moving your hand that it unlocks and starts up cell phones paired with it Not sure if the hold megabytes or gigabytes or less then a megabyte I was thinking about giving the phone away as a gift so I looked up replacement batteries.. That's when I learnt they are NFC Batteries (I was wanting an NFC RING) that saves the users passwords login information and communicates with other devices I wanted to see if the ring could log me in at work like waving my hand over key card machine like would I have to use the key card.. I wonder how many bytes the battery itself holds and can share with other devices.. Then I noticed, yeah it says NEAR FIELD COMMUNICATIONS on the battery under SAMSUNG.. *Is that why it messes up???* I was told to take the battery out and charge it in a charger designed for that battery with no types of passwords or pins required..
Nice video. My phone has had charge problems for about a month now. A girlfriend has a Samsung wireless charger, but this device also would not charge my phone, altho it charges her newer Galaxy phone. I do not have the wireless charging card item you placed inside next to the battery. Does the Galaxy 5 require that card in order for it to charge from the wireless charger ?
Thank you so much i couldn't charge my phone for 3 days already the problem was that there was either dust or water in my charging plug, thank you so much
what should I do I tried all of these and they did not work. my phone was charging until a storm came and it made my phone charging at 40% to 0% and I'm charging it and it just vibrates and when I go on my phone at like 1% the date and time is wrong and when I go on settings it says recovering data :( btw its a samsung galaxy note 3. I think the phone was lightning damaged somehow I was charging it until a storm came and battery went to 0% somehow. PLEASE REPLY.
Thank you so much you just saved me getting a new phone! My phone was completely dead, nothing was working but using three of your methods (idk which one did the job) it started charging!
+elxshamckxy happy to hear it worked for you. Plz subscribe if you haven't already I'd be truly thankful. Thank you. I also start doing giveaways as gifts on my channel so stay tuned you never know. 🌟🌟
@@ILuvTrading you did say you were going to put a link below for the port replacement and the wireless charger. I see neither one. But would appreciate a link for the port
Looking for suggestions. Mine S5 (Sprint) was off and charging normally overnight. In the morning, phone would not power on and no lights or anything. Only thing noticeable was phone was a bit warmer than normal. Went through all the steps in video with different cords, batteries, etc., but still nothing. However, if plugged into charging cord, after a few minutes, the back of the phone does get warm.
Thank you so much! My phone would not start up. I got to the step of holding down the start button for 30 seconds with the battery out. Once I put the battery back in, it restarted! Thanks again :-)
My phone does nothing when you plug it in. If you turn it off it will show a battery icon but wont do anything. The transformer plug is bad it charges fine in the computer.
My S 5 has an intermittent slow charging issue. The cable, plug, outlet doesn't seem to be the culprit. At the moment, it's charging fine. but sometimes it won't. Sometimes it discharges even while plugged in. I replaced the battery. Again, I've checked it the cords, plugs, outlet, etc. Cleaning the port with a plastic toothpick did fix it, but only temporarily. Any suggestions?
If smashing it of the table doesn't work, go ahead and try smashing it of the wall.
fuck
lol

Why didn't I think of that
I'm fast approaching that stage lol
Ive tried three different adapters and three different cables.
it still wont charge.

it gives me a gray battery and a lightening bolt and it blips on and off.

same. i totally gave up on my S4 so i switch to one of my old phones. Nothing worked for me.
I fixed my probkem when my s5 showed the lighting but just turned off I try charging it on a conputer or xbox then after awhile charge it using a charger that only has 1 metal part on the charging cable dont use the charger that has the double charging parts

Brilliant! I just came from the ATT store and they had me convinced I needed to buy a new phone! This post saved me!
Many Thanks.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! Toothbrush bristles in the USB port cleared out dust/water corrosion and now the phone charges again. I almost (and with reluctance) bought a new phone today. Made my day. Thanks again.

Hello, I'm not sure, if it is helpful, but here is the manual, page 244 - Troubleshooting: www.usermanuals.tech/d/samsung-galaxy-s5-user-manual/244
How you found a fix for it?

Thx man, I was going to break my fist in anger before I found your video. Now instead, I'm going to charge my phone and go out to play Pokemon Go!
THX THX THX OMG I HAVE WANTED MY PHONE TO WORK FOR 3 YEARS UNTIL THIS HEAVENLY VIDEO FELL into MY ARMS
holding the power button for a minute Without the battery inside made the phone/battery work again. Thanks for the advice!
Isaac Carranza I have the same issue, I will try that
Wow, i dropped it in the shower and it was wet for all of 10 seconds and now is just fucked
Isaac Carranza thanx
Taking out the battery, smacking the phone, and holding power button for over a minute seemed to fix my hazard battery warning when charging. great video!
Super helpful, thanks! I'm curious, what does holding the power button without the battery do? Drain the static battery?
Thank you very much for this video. I've had this problem for a day now and I've popped out the battery for ten whole seconds and put it back in. Then, I put my charger back in and it went up to 58% instantly. I'm glad there's people out there sharing many methods in order to help others with this annoying issue.
So just beat it with a hammer for a few hours?
Can't believe it. I tried so many things. Nothing worked. Came across this video and did the 30 second thing. Popped the battery back in and it powered up just fine. Thanks for your help.
not only did you save my phone, you saved my life, a subscribe & a like, that's the least I can do, thank you so much!

I was actually crying like a lil b**** when my s5 started shuting down and going from 15% to 100%...am so thankful for your video it help alot
When i charge my galaxy s5 it charges but when i disable charging my battery quickly dies like 99% then 98 then 97 .... and after 20 min it comes to 75 and then
How to fix that problem.
if it dont work to change cables or adapter, try to reset phone to fabric settings/reset phone. it worked for me.
For me it was your #5 (or is it #6) remedy: remove battery & hold down power button 30 seconds. Makes no sense, but works. Thanks so much!!
The holding the power button for 1 minute worked. Thanks a lot, man.
This worked great! I was so worried I'd have to get a new phone(that I can't really afford). But because of your video, I didn't have to! Thank you so much! :-)
TYSM IT WORKED!!!you see my family can't afford to get another charger or phone so tysm :D
man you saved my life i hove a samsung galaxy s5 and i waiting about 20 sec without batery and it works.THANKS SO MUCH
I prefer the hammer method. Hit it with a large hammer on both sides.

Same. But 1 minute.
my s5 was showing a hazard triangle.... I simply took the battery out, press the power button for almost 2 minutes, clean the port thoroughly (tooth brush & floss pick. It was DIRTY!). put the battery back in and whooalah!. thanks for the video dude
Having the same issue, bought a new battery but the issue still persist. I'll try your way.
Juan Vazquez what is a floss pick??
Thanks, I was so close to throwing my phone out a 10 story window out of frustration because it wasn't charging but your tutorial fixed it and my phone thanks you aswell =) I roughly counted you saying "GUYS" about 26 times LMAO. =) Thanks again

Well not sure what one worked since I tried them all and didn't check after each but you got my phone working! lol Thank you, sir.
After i help the power button for a minute it worked again thanks!
Hitting the power button got it charging again! THANK YOU!
Thanks a lot! You saved me $150. I had the incompatibility charger error. The removed battery and hold the power button for 30 sec did the trick! You are awesome and the Verizon store guys sucks. He's being paid to know this shit and he doesn't. lol
Wow my battery was 27 then I hold for 30 sec and it was 41 without charging it

Thank you so much for fixing my phone. I held power button down for 30 seconds and pops my battery back in Thanks so much may God bless you

If you need a temporary fix follow these instructions (Adults only for obvious reasons)
I have been doing this now for a few weeks..
Cut your charger wire (close to to part that plugs into your phone)
peel off the plastic from the red and black wires that you will find inside, so the wire inside them is exposed.
Thank me later when your phone is on 100%
Also there will be other wires inside the main wire but you don't need these as they are for carrying data etc (seeing as it's a usb cable also)
just bend these out of the way and tape them up or cut them. your choice.
Hey Fido, could you possibly do a video showing how to do this, or post a link to a video if one exists. Thanks in advance.
Great! Was really helpful! My phone was not charging anymore for some reason! I used the 30 sec power button hold and ta-da! It works! Great! Big Thanks!
hi where can i find the link to purchase the wireless charger
What happened to me if it randomly turns off I put a sticky note to fill in the empty space next to my battery because it was sliding out of place thus my phone turned off it worked
Wholly Molly you are Amazing!!!!!! Holding the power button and unplugging the battery for 1 minute totally works! I also banged my phone on my hand.
Thank you it really work for me my Samsung Galaxy s5 was not starting but when I try it with another Android cable it started working thank you bro
Wow ! I was skeptical but the button smacking did the trick lol
my phone just vibrates for like 2 seconds when I try to turn it on but won't show screen and when charging same thing but its does it every few seconds
YES! Removing the battery for 10 secs worked. Thank you!
i tried all these methods, but it still didnt work, but once i looked in the port, their was a speck of dirt/dust in it. took it out and it work : )
yea my phone just took a shit on me not sure if it was from an update, probably though but now my phone is dead so I gotta buy another battery just to try and fix it.. my question is how do you check which updates and where do you go to find the updates??
Thank you for your video. Just taking the battery out for a few seconds helped. I appreciate the video. I hope to be as helpful to someone in the future.
the 'hold the power for 30 sec without battery" worked for me Thanks a lot bro
Bro help me ,when I open it and I plug in the cable, the phone keep on on and off
Thank you first one didnt work but the second did about the static so thank you you deserve a subscriber
i tried the 30 sec one and i tuned it back and it was 100% is that normal
wow - arent you a JOY!!! LOL NOTTTTT!!!!!!!
Yes. It is normal because your phone is restarting fresh but still has all of its data. Once you start charging it it will be normal again.
Rebecca Mendez aren't you beautiful 😋
Thanks mate i did the bang on power button and my fine is back to normal! S5 going strong 4 year old 😂
My S5 Neo wasn't charging, the battery was at 4% and I used the method of taking the battery out and holding the power button, and it freaking worked! Lol thank you! I was freaking out because it'd cost $200 to fix the port or exchange my phone and lose all my stuff. 😦😦 THANK YOU! lol
Dude thank you!!!!!! The hold down power off for 30 seconds really worked!!! Thank you very much!
Is this Ray Ramano? It sounds like him aaaand it's halarious! 😂 please make more videos!
Very useful. Solved a problem where the phone wouldn't turn on. probably the power button was stuck on.
ok well i changed the adapter, then i changed the cables, then i tried smack it on the on/off button, i tried using a tooth pick to clean out any dust in the area where you plug in the charging wire, i changed the battery (brought a new one ) so i also held down the power button for 30secs and again for 1 min, so the yellow button still comes on when i connect the charging cord to the phone so now i guess i have to buy a usb replacement part . i really liked your video it was very helpful
Basically,
I was told that's not how to charge a battery the battery comes out of the device and goes on a charger..
the usb port is for file sharing
You can blow fuses and worse jumping a battery *in a vehicle*
That one way is like jumping a battery with jumper cables, and there is GPS device connected to the battery and website..
I bought that phone 3 years ago used for over a year..
I just kept buying new batteries (my relative *had* a store, so back then I got the
Batteries cheap)
It's still a nice phone, I just got tired of replacing batteries..
It took great photos..
I might even buy one of the chargers for the batteries only (plus see if it charges all the spare batteries up) and buya new NFC RING and give it as a gift..(BUT IF IT ALL WORKS IT'S A NICE PHONE STILL)
It was the first phone i had that I could use as a remote to tvs and the Xbox..
They make GPS device the same price as some NFC rings and NFC batteries
The GPS device holds info and URL WEBSITE LINK information..you sign the GPS devices up online
So I also wondered do I sign the battery up with my SAMSUNG account ha ha ha
I DON'T KNOW WHAT TYPE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION MIGHT HAVE BEEN SAVED IN THE FIRST BATTERY..
Or if the first owner had an NFC smart ring,
i was told the ring can change the volume on your tv by moving your hand that it unlocks and starts up cell phones paired with it
Not sure if the hold megabytes or gigabytes or less then a megabyte
I was thinking about giving the phone away as a gift so I looked up replacement batteries..
That's when I learnt they are
NFC Batteries (I was wanting an NFC RING) that saves the users passwords login information and communicates with other devices I wanted to see if the ring could log me in at work like waving my hand over key card machine like would I have to use the key card..
I wonder how many bytes the battery itself holds and can share with other devices..
Then I noticed, yeah it says NEAR FIELD COMMUNICATIONS on the battery under SAMSUNG..
*Is that why it messes up???*
I was told to take the battery out and charge it in a charger designed for that battery with no types of passwords or pins required..
Thank you so much i couldn't charge my phone for 3 days already the problem was that there was either dust or water in my charging plug, thank you so much
I would 100% totally this recommend it!! Its working. Thank you iluvtrading😊
I had this "static issue", and it's gone now. Thanks!
Holding down the power button worked. Thanks!
Don't know which one of them worked, but thanks. Really thought the old bastard finally died on me this time, but no, there is still life in there.
what should I do I tried all of these and they did not work. my phone was charging until a storm came and it made my phone charging at 40% to 0% and I'm charging it and it just vibrates and when I go on my phone at like 1% the date and time is wrong and when I go on settings it says recovering data :( btw its a samsung galaxy note 3.
The cleaning the port trick worked! Thanks so much
Where can you buy a new USB port kit? The port on my phone is loose.
ebay
@@ILuvTrading you did say you were going to put a link below for the port replacement and the wireless charger. I see neither one. But would appreciate a link for the port
Looking for suggestions. Mine S5 (Sprint) was off and charging normally overnight. In the morning, phone would not power on and no lights or anything. Only thing noticeable was phone was a bit warmer than normal. Went through all the steps in video with different cords, batteries, etc., but still nothing. However, if plugged into charging cord, after a few minutes, the back of the phone does get warm.
u sir are my now most favorite human on this world
Haha cool! Plz check out my other vids too if u don’t mine 🙏

Thank you so much! My phone would not start up. I got to the step of holding down the start button for 30 seconds with the battery out. Once I put the battery back in, it restarted! Thanks again :-)
Thanks for showing me it work. Now my phone is charging fast again
Guys, I just can't hear "guys" enough, guys.
omg i said same thing. he seems nice tho.
Try listening to yourself talk before being critical of someone trying help you out.
My phone does nothing when you plug it in. If you turn it off it will show a battery icon but wont do anything. The transformer plug is bad it charges fine in the computer.
DUDE U FIXED MY PROBLEM WITH THE 1 MINUTE DRAIN THING METHOD TYYY =)))
that little pink strip on the battery is suppose to be white. pink means that the battery is on its way out, having been overheated to much
My S 5 has an intermittent slow charging issue. Any suggestions?
holding in the power button while battery is out for 30 secs worked thank you
The one minute power button hold worked for me!! Thank you!!!
