- Опубліковано 10 бер 2011
- I looked everywhere on UA-cam for this and couldn't find it, so I recorded it from my very own Casiotone MT-240.
It is a recreation of "Night Birds" by Shakatak(thanks to everyone who knew).
THE BEST
very fied
First: What are you doing here?
Second: Why the drums on the beginning sound SPC like?
SNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNES CASIO
for ever and always
Sounds like something composed by David Wise.
When the percussion opening played during the Barbie movie I freaked. What a great track
Yesssss. Nobody knew except me!
I literally gasped
My heart dropped when I heard it in the movie
Yep! My dad used to own the same keyboard.
I freaked out :)
I never thought I'd hear this again. God bless you for putting this up there.
You right, I was ten years old.
Oh jeez...this song. The memories are flooding back! I had this keyboard as a child, and used to listen to this demo all the time. 4 year old me thought it was the most epic song ever.
I think I just died!! I cant believe I am hearing this again!! EPIC!! :)
Gotmilk0112 EXACT SAME SO MUCH NOSTALGIA

One time my brother played this demo song on my Casio and I thought he was actually playing the song
Yes, people have pointed out it's a midi of "Night Birds", but to me
This is always called
Super Earthworm
I always used it when i played with toys, as the song for recalling important events in a world wide epic journey of adventures and justice
it's been 25 years since I heard this, and still remember every part.
Stephen Morris I remembered the chord progression slightly differently, which is interesting! I was only like 7 when I last heard this, and now I’m 27, so it really is interesting. It’s not like the Mandela Effect, though, where I’m positive it was different than this; it’s more like “oh yeah, it DID go like this!“
That demo button dominated my childhood.
Just press the DEMO button again!
Yo it's so crazy that I even was able to find this.. my sister's an I always played this, acting as if we were the ones actually playing the music lol. The nostalgia is so surreal and what's even more amazing is how many others can relate the same way as we do.. its so freaking awesome. I'm 34 and soon to be 35 and my sisters are soon to be 36 and 34,life goes by so fast and I'm grateful for every memory I hold, Peace and love to you all. We are all absolutely connected in one way or another!!
(:
Oh my :') Finally ! I FOUND U ! *cries*
I'm grinning from ear to ear. I could hum this song from beginning to end even after nearly 30 years. Being able to hear it again has made me entirely too happy. Many thanks!
so good
For anyone curious, this was indeed the Casio demo Ken was playing in the Barbie Movie 🙃 .. peeps my channel, I have a steel drum cover of it 😘

Super Earthwooorm!!
nostalgia! I cried when my keyboard died when I was 10.
Thumbs up for the good quality. I had a Casio MT-140 as a kid and had the same DEMO.
that avatar is so nice
My favorite part 2:48 .
The memories as a child playing with this keyboard all the time and pressing that demo button, all came back as soon as I herd this song again. Thank you for this.
Had this stuck in my head for days before finally remembering where I heard it. Somehow my brain was able to figure out I heard it on a keyboard demo like 25 years ago, and here it is! Shout out to my brain for hooking me up on this one.
I still have my MT-140 to this day and I still use it and honestly this song brings back so much memories ❤
Super earthworm he man is in place
My Dad passed away when I was only 4 and I think I used to listen to this a lot so for some odd reason this song makes me think of him...kinda weird how our memories work
Super Earthworm!
I'm at the Dallas airport waiting for my flight to Seattle, and I'm watching planes take off as I listen to this.
So. Damn. Epic.
Man i was like anywhere from 4-6 yrs old when my mom bought a keyboard with this demo!! Never thought i would hear this again
super earthworm
Just dug out my old keyboard that my mom used to own and I remembered this song. Looked at the model number and googled it. I have reclaimed another gem of my childhood.
This song is the anthem of my childhood.
After many years I finally find you, missed this song so much
The casiotone mt 240 lives at my cabin in the puget sound, the cabin flooded once, and it broke. I’ve always wanted it back. This is the best song
As a child, I was given a VL Tone, but my dad had an MT-240, and I remember trying so hard as a kid to replicate this song manually whenever he'd let me use it.
This gave me tears of joy I cried because it took me way back thanks for putting this up there
Super! Earthworm!
I had a nostalgia rush when they played it in the Barbie movie for a brief moment.
Greetings from Saudi Arabia I used to have this keyboard when I was younger the MT 140 which has the same demo. I wasn’t sure which model we used to have so I had to ask my family and they told me that It was the keyboard and they were looking for the song for ages. I used to play around the rhythms a lot what a memory. That was the beginning of the 90s.
Wow, I love that you put this up, was just thinking of what a cool song this was. It really showcased all the sounds in a very complimentary way. Thanks so much for sharing!
Yep that's it! I think this is the best little desktop/desk-side keyboard. Just what you need if your looking for a note when composing. For the most part, great sounds and just enough power. Play on!
Super earthworm on the floor
Time travel success!
This almost puts tears in my eyes...i had one of these as a kid and it got stolen. I bought another 2 years ago and it got destroyed in the floods here in Michigan..LOVE this demo
This sounds very much like an Anime OP.

this is my childhood!!! how I longed to once again hear this! thank you you are a god among men!
Half childhood memories, half super earthworm. Too many memories.
This sound came back to memory after hearing it from the Barbie movie of 2023 (at ~1:03:00). But Ken was using a Yamaha keyboard instead of Casio, that was misleading my investigation to find the sound name.
Holy shit, man.
This song is amazing, my childhood with this keyboard.
DAMN! That's a deep cut! Thanks for posting this!
Thank you so much. Brought back so many childhood memories.
All of you crying over this, I still have my Casio, I still use it and play on it :P

For a second I thought this was a cover of Shakatak's Night Birds.
I don't know if that was sarcasm or not, but indeed, IT is a cover of "Night Birds"
Actually it is

Thank you so much for doing that.
Dis mah jam
The universe has ended
Omg!!!! I'm só happy I found that one. That was my First keyboard on the 90. Didnt remeber the Brand. Thank you só much! :-D
2:18 now this bit is so much better than in the actual song! In this version you get the feeling the entire world is at stake.
Jesus I have been looking for this beautiful Song for days ! I also had this Keyboard .
Antonio Jáquez I've been wanting to hear it for years!
This is awesome! Reminds me of Genesis music. I wish someone would post the demo songs for the CTK-1000, would love to hear them.
Totally!! Especially 2:19, and the great section before as well, to a degree. The slap bass (best heard at 2:56) especially sounds like the one used on the Genesis, but that used a Yamaha YM2612 chip. Given that Casio and Yamaha were rivals, it’s unlikely that this keyboard used a Yamaha chip: www.casiomusicforums.com/index.php?/topic/6110-casio-ctk-1000-hardware-analysis-also-va-10/
so lovely!!!
super earthworm
super earthworm on the floor
So great ! Thanks so much !
The song is Shakatak - Night Birds
Holy shit, the nostalgia here. My first keyboard, 1989 or so. I was 4 years old when I discovered the power button on this thing. I've never stopped making music, even now at 33. I'm poor and the money I do make goes to pay for a kid that ain't mine. If I didn't have music I don't know what I'd do. ❤ big ups to anyone who reads this. There's always something beautiful, no matter how ugly shit might be. Stay tough guys.
(:
The disco loop was brilliant too
I miss this
Nightbirds by Shakalak
Yes Night birds and night shore!
Those electro toms! As children my siblings and I use to pretend they were pigeons...so glad I found this!
Hahaha mate, I'd have never thought of it being a pigeon until I read this. Class. Disco toms, b da booooooo
😲OMG😲NOW I HAVE TO FIND THAT CASIO PIANO WE HAD WHEN MY KIDS WERE STILL SMALL AND MY SON LOVES THIS MUSIC😢

Facts
I literally still have this thing right now from my childhood- best part is that it works perfectly.
Also fun fact: I think Jack Stauber uses the sounds from this thing sometimes.
Super earth worm
