This is how the Tull songs should sound, not what Ian is doing to them on stage today in 2023. Let's have a new album soon Martin? You are carrying the torch of Tull and preserving the legacy.
Good God, I'm just blown away, not only to just hear these songs acoustically, but the vocals were awe inspiring. I got chills listening to these women. I'd be interested in hearing each of these women in their own right. AWESOME!!
Wonderful stuff. Great to hear these songs with female vocals. Gives them a new lease of life Just a pity Martin is not facing the audience would be nice to see what he is playing. Brilliant guitarist , met him in Kinross and he was a lovely guy. Got a selfie and a signed album
WOW! Nice voices Ladies! Thanks for a little culture this evening! I tear up to Wondering Aloud. Takes me back to fall of 71. Thank you! - Hi Martin!!! Peace and Thank You two, for the memories, music like this evokes. ss Vancouver
Fantastic. Must say that i have enjoyed the 50 aniversary show of IA. But this is also fantastic. It´s very nice to see the old JT songs taken by another way. Excellent arrangement for great songs and also awesome musicianship
These really are the classics by Jethro Tull. I really miss Martin Baree and Ian Anderson not making music together anymore. They simply belong together like the lid belongs to the pot. I love Martin Barre's guitar playing. I'm proud that I've seen Jethrot Tull live four times in Germany. Greetings from Germany
What wonderfully spellbinding interpretations of Tull classics. These gals are both excellent singers and their harmonies are immaculate. Life is a Long Song brings me to tears. Martin is one of the most whimsical guitarists ever and a shrewd band director as well.
martin!.congrates on your band . those girls are brillant please encorperate them in your brillant band they got" that" ingredient..xfacterwhatever it is.. keep it flowing much love... an ol jethro extention if in spirit only..
I had almost forgotten what a superb acoustic guitar player Martin is. He is one of a handful of players who can switch between electric and acoustic and sound masterful whatever the genre of music he is playing.
It is so WEIRD - and yet wonderful - to hear these great songs done quite differently, and yet oh-so enjoyable. Thank you and BRAVO for posting, Mark! So sorry I didn’t see this sooner. So happy Im here now!
The mandolin really fooled me. I thought for sure he was going to do Fat Man. Can't say I've ever heard Locomotive Breath with a washboard and a mandolin. And I must say it's refreshing to hear the songs sung in key for a change.
so many songs by Ian and all his different band members.. through the years .. aqualung.. thick as a brick.. I have been playing ' a Christmas song' every year on Christmas day for at least the last 45 years , (or more ) and continue to do so.. the influence is that strong..
Unas verdaderas joyas para oídos educados. Estoy contento de haber encontrado esto. Mister Martin "Lancelot" Barre; un guitarrista nunca bien ponderado en su real dimensión.
This is awesome ! Martin Barre is the evolution of Jethro Tull. It is sad that Ian lost his voice. He could have gotten a new singer and Tull could have gone on to be even greater. But I guess they wanted to to go their separate ways. I think that what Martin is doing is really the next step of Jethro Tull. They have the potential to be as great as Tull ever was.
As much as like Martin , Ian Anderson was the real Tull and as I have followed the years I have to say the best lineup was late sixties early seventies,on Stand up and Benefit albums
@@bruceedgerton980 I've seen Jethro Tull 44 times starting in the 70s with the thick as a brick tour. Early 70s was definitely the best tull band and probably best band in the world
Ian Anderson's flamboyant style relegated Mr Barre to second fiddle, as it were. He has been seen for the great guitarist he is, due to the passage of time. He is one of the best
I'm going to see Martin's band in August. I don't know whether he'll be doing any acoustic numbers, but after listening to this I really hope so. The young ladies did an amazing job, especially on One White Duck. A reminder as well of what a great songwriter Ian is.
He did do the acoustic numbers, and he did have the young ladies. One of the highlights of a terrific set that Martin clearly enjoyed - Clive Bunker and Dee Palmer played with him too - a treat!

That is very nicely done, well done Mr Barre for resurrecting those fantastic Tull songs .. lovely vocals ..
They didn’t need redirecting. Always fresh. Timeless. It’s still Ian.
Fantastic. Martin is such an amazing musician. Great reworking of some of the best songs ever written.
Brings the strongest emotions 53 year of listening to tull and Barre
this is like the best version of Locomotive Breath since 1971. I wish there were a proper recording of this arrangement, washboard and all
