Let me know if any of you guys have made the switch before! How has that been for you?
This is not easy to move again windows but I i did it right
And iam a apple fanboy 😁 but I am using windows. And it was soo much crzzzzy and thanks for fun...😊
I switched from an Intel based Macbook Pro last year to the Asus Zenbook 14 OLED Space Edition. Aside from all of the windows bloatware, it's been a really great switch. I paired it with my existing egpu which holds my RX6900XT, and for gaming that's been nice. I also continue the legacy of dual booting my main OS with Arch (BTW), and given Mac machines underlying architecture and not being able to support Linux, save for Asahi Linux, I can't do that anymore. I will say, battery life on my Asus machine is absolutely horrid, but if I need portability, I'll just take my iPad mini or M2 ipad pro with me on the go. Which bring me to the ecosystem. I have a secondary Android phone for work, and having to use Office365 across the board is made much easier by being able to integrate across all devices regardless of OS. I could talk at length about this but Overall, I've taken to the switch pretty well, though if an M3 macbook air gets released, I might just get a secondary laptop. Because why not? Right?
Not a big switch for me. I use both operating systems on a daily basis. Installing software twice is a pain though.
In 2020, I bought a Lenovo Legion 5 with a Ryzen 7 4800H processor and an RTX 2060 and I couldn't be more happier with it, however, the new Apple Silicon Macs kept winking at me until I bought one a couple of months back. I now have both and I love the MBP: is a beautiful laptop, the software situation is now more or less fixed and the screen is gorgeous, however, for what I do I feel it still falls short, especially because of the RAM situation and Apple's stubbornness and sheer greed to charge outrageous prices for upgrades and I'm seriously considering returning it to get that money back and MAYBE, when M3 comes out, explore again the possibility of giving it another chance.
For now, I'm still pretty happy with my Legion as I was able to upgrade it to 32GB or RAM and put a 2TB NVMe SSD, on top of the 1TB Samsung EVO Pro that came wit it. Also as you mentioned, the software situation on PCs has gotten better, particularly with Windows 11 and I feel like now more than ever, having a good-spec PC is worth it.
I tried at least 3 times to go back to windows but definitely I can't, All the windows laptops screens sucks, (color, sharpness and contrast, no gaming hz) im a photographer and developer, always come back to Mac (im a .net developer, so weird jaja).
btw, I freaking love the color palette of your videos :)
The word they forbid him to say in this video is "Macbook"
Buhahahhaha
As a dedicated MacBook Pro user, still I grew up using Windows XP, Vista, and 8. So I'll always have a warm spot in my heart for the Windows platform and I still like to see the latest offerings ever once in a while. This looks like a solid laptop for heavy usage. I can even see someone being able to do some gaming on it too
How was your experience with win8?
you are a sheeple....you should just not comment at all....since you own a mac
Wow! First Android Samsung and now Windows laptop, welcome to my world. Thanks for all you do, this was great.
i love the content that you create. It makes me feel like Im keeping up with a friend and their daily life as a content creator. I hope you continue to progress with the success you have been having!
thank younso much Nicholas!! much love my guy. I try my best to interact with you all cause fr fr, the channel feels like a big family techies haha
I love the way your production quality is getting better and better ...❤
thank you broo
For someone like me looking to upgrade to a newer laptop for Development and Some light gaming. Reviews with such details just makes it easy to decide. Love the vibe of the video aside from the tech specs.
I did too, a couple of months ago. I switched from MacOs to Windows 11.
Apple Ecosystem is brilliant, but I was feeling a bit claustrophobic. The ipad, iPhone, macbooks were becoming too pricey for me, and the specs were getting very poor. I think Nvidia RTX was the one that gave the final push.
your videography is insane. You really know how to start videos. good job! great intro
haha thank you so much man I appreciate it
Just the video I was waiting for. Great work👍
thank you bro
hi bro thank you for posting these kind of content you inspired me to upgrade my room learned alot between budget and needs.
I'll be honest, I loved my HP Probook - build was superb and it was a nice laptop.
After switching to M2 Macbook air, every windows laptop now seems... not really up to the standard.
It's like you can't have the whole package with any other laptop at the moment - the power, the battery life, the build quality, screen, touchpad - everything in one small and thin package.
love the vids keep it up! It always a pleasure to watch your videos and to just chill.
ahaha thanks a lot man!
man I just love your cinematics!
haha thanks bro
As always bro APPRECIATE the vlog!
I have a Windows Desktop and a M1 MacBook Air, so I always have access to it with Parsec(Unity's remote desktop/cloud gaming software) regardless of which laptop I am using. 😵💫I don't know why I am so enamored by this idea, but it feels like I have both the efficiency/battery life of the MacBook and the power of a windows desktop the only caveat is the wifi stability.
Great video bro! Love the whole vibe of your channel.
I switched from a MBP to a Galaxy Book 3 Ultra. I prefer Windows generally. It took a while to get used to this keyboard setup and trackpad placement, but now I am used to it, I absolutely love it. My Mac doesn't get used.
I also have an iPhone 14 Pro Max as well as S23 Ultra. I go between the two, but when I'm using the two Ultras, it's completely seamless - as good as the iPhone / Mac combo.
good for you for not being a sheeple.......the only thing mac does well is switching between phone and computer / tablet.
My working station is Winodow based Laptop (Surface Pro 4) and at home I mainly using Apple Mac Air for entertainment and watching streaming and using my RTX3800 and i5 Windows desktop for gaming. It really depends on what are you going to do that for, each OS have it pros and cons and don't mind switch it around.
Keep up the hard work and grow your youtube channel
This monitor setup is crazy but awsome
My personal laptop is a 2020 13" MacBook Pro (the last Intel one), I have a gaming PC with a Ryzen 5800x and 3070Ti (Windows 11), and my work laptop is a mid-range 15" VivoBook (Windows 11) with some kind of a Ryzen cpu in it and a 1080p OLED display. The VivoBook honestly impressed me, given it isn't really a high-end laptop at all. I work mainly in .NET on back-end, but do a little bit of front-end work in React here and there. Battery life is pretty good considering how demanding my local environment can be and how much needs to be running, though it throttles the clock speed pretty hard when unplugged (only Apple Silicon really seems to avoid this, in fairness). My only real complaints are the screen resolution (1080p doesn't leave you with much screen real estate), and the trackpad is nowhere close to as good as the one on my MacBook Pro. Otherwise, it's super solid.
Windows in 2023 is not the same Windows in 2008 that pushed me to get a MacBook in the first place. It's stable, performs well, and the interface and general quality of life features are way closer to macOS than ever before. Little things like searching for files in Explorer still bug me (macOS searches take 2-5 seconds, Windows searches take 20 seconds to multiple minutes), or dealing with driver issues as Windows Update and Asus' own MyAsus don't always seem to get along out of the box, but this is still incomparably better of a situation than it was 10 years ago.
Would I switch my personal laptop out for a Windows machine next time around? Honestly, no. I still prefer macOS for anything but gaming. But, I'm not gonna be the guy telling people what works best for their use-case or what they should like.
duuuuuude I really appreciate you sharing hopefully some people can see this
Love that channel!
Good to see you trying out Windows again. I had too much hassle and issues with Windows 10 lately therefore I have gone full Linux Mint for development. Only docker desktop makes me headaches.
ive tried man but just work wont allow me to rock a full linux setup I need adobe and stuff :/ beeen loooving the WSL config tho. I have it on my Custom Machine too
@@CodeOnBlocks Yeah I know I just need native power lol even at that my pc crashes a lot.. Im also hoping on davinci so yeah
@@andresvidoza nice, the production of your vids are bad ass. keep it up!
Linux Mint?Cmon.....
Use Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC, is the most stable, lightweight and less bloated version of windows, for comparision just in RAM usage in my old Asus VivoBook 12G RAM: w11 38% usage idle, windows 10ELTSC 23% idle same software installed with no tweaks at all just stock config
this video was totally unexpected, watching this on my Asus vivobook s15 OLED and never felt so good about my decision to go for this instead of macbook air m1.
hahaha the odds lol.. how u liking it btw
Backup settings and files to make the transition and the setup to another laptop easier would be a cool video!
im still trying to figure it out tbh.. I really wanna make a smooth workflow to be able to hop into different windows laptops
Amazing Video Bro
I've been using windows since I was 3. Right now I have 3 laptops at my home. 1 from HP, 1 from Acer and 1 From Lenovo and all of them are doing pretty good. I use the Acer Swift 5 and it is a really nice laptop. The connectivity between windows and my android phone is awesome. But, since I've also got an iPhone(which is my main phone) I'm planning to switch to a MacBook so that I could get more efficient.
Im using iphone for years now, and i tried to switch to mac, but i couldnt. If you use laptop for your work and you used a windows your whole life its nightmare to switch to macOS, it was for me at least. I bought macbook air m1 and sold it after few days. It just doesnt work for me, windows is like my homeland. But it is just because software, hardware wise i would take macbook any day of the week over any windows laptop. But yeah windows operating system is where my home is. Im using onedrive to sync all my files with iphone and it works flawlessly, onedrive app for ios is a very very good app, it work with no mistake. Butt i definately miss macbooks battery life and trackpad which doesnt even have a competition in windows world. Good luck to you trying macOS, i hope so it will suit to you better than on me
@@vladedivac8916 Thanks for your wishes Sir. It did suit me quite well. I bought it last week. The 15" Macbook air M2. It's a savage device. The hardware is awesome. My friends told me that the softwre switch was hard so I watched a quick beginner guide. Now I know enough and it works flawlesly with the rest of the ecosystem that I already have. And I keep learning new things every single day about the device.
Your quality is insane
One of my favourite laptop, and today get this video with favourite creator 💥
thanks broskii
Bro I just luv your content
thanks a lot bro haha
Bro, it is out faster than expected. Nice.
hahah
Hey! I just wanted to if you're still using it and how long the battery last for watching and normal media consumption? How long it lasts for software uses as well? Thank you! I'm planning to get either the r7/r9, 3050, 2.8k oled version or the macbook air m2 15" base model.
How noisy the fans are during the work? What is the tempereture of keyboard while your webpack is running in watch mode?
Chanced upon this video as I am about to make the switch from mac (mini m1) to a windows laptop. As a huge content consumer (netflix, youtube, disney+ etc) OLED is a non-negotiable. Plus my husband prompts me to get one with a dedicated GPU. I’m so excited to get a vivobook soon! Great video btw!
please dont get it. It gets incredibly hot. When watching videos like this, always check the description. This is a sponsored video. When under immense workload the laptop cannot handle the heat, and will need a cooling pad or really good cold conditions. But the palm rest area does get uncomfortably hot even for light tasks. Avoid intel products if you dont need Thunderbolt ports. AMD is much more efficient. I have used Vivobook and it was one of my saddest purchases
folowing your example and rocking both : Iphone and 2 laptops - one Rog Zephyrus G15 for gaming and developing and the Mac Book Pro & Iphone and watch just for the flawless ecosystem. Docker seems to have some perks in windows that do not happen in mac os for me
Another Sunday another Andres banger!!!
YOOO
Every product looks nice in your office
haha thank you
how do you do this I have literally been looking for a windows laptop for school and here you are making another perfect video. Thank you
I hope it helps!! make sure to watch other reviews tho.. and checkout other laptops like the gram, xps, msi stealths and so on
Good video :) Interesting to see how the windows world has evolved .. nevertheless, this computer surely does not make me want it compared to my mac ! i think macs are miles ahead :) but it's just my opinion ... and it's good that everyone can have a computer for his own tastes :)
Man, your videos keep going better, I just .I'm just surprised
I disagree his vids keep getting worse
My Dream Notebook:
Hardware from Macbook
Security and Privacy from Linux
Gaming and Freedom from Windows
hopefully one day this dream would be real
love your videos
Oh man, I don't know why but your Visual Studio Code Color Theme is so interesting for me, can you tell me what is your VSCode theme?
& also, your channel is favorite for many technology lovers. subscribing your channel is like have an adventure to tech world. I enjoy your videos every time especially when I'm so tired.
thank you for creating great content. we love u ^^.
bro after your video, i start wanted to buy a vivobook.Very beautiful ///
Great Video !
i have questions 😁 , is it good for all kind of heavy work such as Mobile development ?
And also i want to install a Linux distro to be my only OS , is it compatible ?
Hello!
What theme do you use in vs code with orange color?
Or is it a video filter like this?
been waiting for a new video.
Teal & Orange look to the max!
Is it just me or do you have a grey tint of color on most application icon. (if yes, how did you do it?)
I actually own vivobook 14x oled but with ryzen 5600h and rtx 3050 ti, been using it for almost a year since I traded my asus tuf f15 (which happens to also have an rtx 3050 ti) with vivobook 14x oled and it’s amazing. Screen is amazing even though it’s only 90hz but the colors are wonderful. I use it for UI/UX design, lightroom, and I even game with it. Downside, besides the 90hz screen, is the storage. I got the one with 512gb, so I had to take the additional 1tb ssd from my previous asus f15 and used it as an external storage.
yeah been hearing a loooot of people really happy with their vivobooks.. thats why I was like meh lets try it! I was actually amazed lol
I am really interested in their zenbook 14 pro ux6404. Battery life, fan noise and heat though with the intel and 4070 got me concerned.
Hello from me too, the presentation you made with ASUS was very good, I'm from Europe where can I buy it? thank you, I see that Amazon doesn't have it yet! thanks
Great work
thanks bro
Dang, what theme are you using for VScode? It looks clean!
GPU sag in your custom PC is a killer!!!
While looking for a laptop before going to college, Macbook air and Omen 15 were my first choices. I like the look and feel of a macbook, but not being able to game with my friends has always been the edge factor. So went with Omen. Its been pretty good, but what windows gaming laptops lack is the battery, heating issues, and runs like an old truck when not plugged in. Well cant be helped in this specific gaming/work laptop sector.
battery is definitely a killer specially if youre used to macs .. thats like a fact yeah but intel/ryzen laptops are getting better
Loved the video.. Nice work.. Question, what theme are you using for VS Code..? I really like it and would like to use it myself..
Shades of Purple + the cascadia font with lingatures
Tbh most of the people who are "software developer" nowadays don't develop any software. All of their works are done at very high level with java script and ruby etc and most of them don't even deal with any low level stuff for like that and for that any OS would be good enough for most people for web development. Each OSs has certain advantages and for windows it was good enough depending on what kind of development you're doing but after they added WSL2, yeah it was a game changer for me.
@Andres Vidoza 2:36 Could you please share what theme you are using in VS Code? That Orange-Black theme is so beautiful!
Shades of Purple + the cascadia font with lingatures
@@inawi Well, thank you for the info, I already use Cascadia code, without litigatures, let's try the theme then!
So for someone trying to get into programming would itbe worth going for windows pc or a macbook with 16gb of ram? assuming the same cost
I'm a windows lover and it's very helpful for me...... thank you for this video ❤
We need a video for whats its like to have the samsung s23 ultra with the macbook. That's my setup but im curious to see other's setup and how they use it.
Sweet laptop!
what is that laptop sleeve at 14:39?

Eu amei o vídeo, ele está maravilhoso.
Eu sempre usei computadores ou notebook windows !

Pelagos looking 🔥🔥🔥
What program do you use programing/coding??
Windows laptop review sponsored by Intel, GENIOUS!
Awesome vid! What's that knife you used to open the box in the beginning?
thanks broski! its from grovemade actually
As a programmer. WSL is the best system for me.
hi Andres first thanks for all what you give for comunotie second think how I can contact you I need some answer and then what is your keyboard in this video. thanks
may i kindly know which ASUS Vivobook you used in this video
Hi there! Can I know the model of this laptop? Really interested to know!
Was really tend to get a Windows Laptop for my business (coding and IT Consulting), but the hardware prices and poor standby let me tend towards a M3 Pro for about 2k€
What's the name of the vs code theme you are using?
In need of laptop aesthetics. Plenty of desktop aesthetics. Need to compare Asus Vivobook, HP, Lenovo Think Pad, MacBooks… etc and not for gaming but reliability & work culture.
Hey Andres, what VScode theme are you using currently? (really nice video btw.)
I need to know this too. Did you figure it out?
@@CodeOnBlocks Sorry, i couldn't
Shades of Purple broskiiii 🖖🏽 best theme ever. I also have the cascadia font with lingatures
@@andresvidoza Can you make a review of the HP probook 450 g8? (That would be great beacause i'm planning to buy the hp probook 450 g8)
@@andresvidoza but its a different variant? because I have the same but the colors looks different of yours
I'd say Windows 11 is one of the best upgrade that Microsoft has brought to the laptop world. It's way more stable and mostly get all the features that it used to lack in the past compare to macOS
Can you make a video about day in the life with a budget smartphone???🎉
hi bro how do u get the laptop connected to monitor and get multiple windows open could u please make a video on it for extend display
Hey Andres little confusing for me, this definitely A great laptop for students as well as for editing purposes, but i find one more laptop as same like this Asus vivobook pro 15 OLED having a graphic card and good amount of SSD and ram, with ryzen 7 octa core Amd R7- 4800H ?
Which one?
Can you do a review on the security used by Android and iOS?
Good to see your using windows .This was so AWS buddy 😎 ❤
Back to windows is not easy but you can!!🤩

the display is 144hz and the whole thing is pretty smotth
and the fun part is that it cost me aboud $850 so definitely a great laptop :)
How do you like windows 11? Worth upgrading from windows 10?
It's just reskinned windows 10 with extra tpm requirements
You are full time UA-camr right, what/why do you code, like why were you practicing node.js
I graduated comp sci, I have an engineering degree as well, im just a massive nerd and I love codin for fun. Im trynna get back into ios dev so I just want to deal with node js to connect my front end to my backend. JS is sooo nice compared to like python and its frameworks imo. Ive tried quite a lot of diff backend technologies, even with Java and meh, JS always wins
What laptop is that ? Link for us plz
Made a temporary switch while my MacBook Pro is getting some maintenance done. I can’t with this Lenovo 😭
Hello Andres, why is your gpu not in the top slot? :)
my freaking pci-e slot broke man smh.. I need a new mobo
