This is not easy to move again windows but I i did it right And iam a apple fanboy 😁 but I am using windows. And it was soo much crzzzzy and thanks for fun...😊
I switched from an Intel based Macbook Pro last year to the Asus Zenbook 14 OLED Space Edition. Aside from all of the windows bloatware, it's been a really great switch. I paired it with my existing egpu which holds my RX6900XT, and for gaming that's been nice. I also continue the legacy of dual booting my main OS with Arch (BTW), and given Mac machines underlying architecture and not being able to support Linux, save for Asahi Linux, I can't do that anymore. I will say, battery life on my Asus machine is absolutely horrid, but if I need portability, I'll just take my iPad mini or M2 ipad pro with me on the go. Which bring me to the ecosystem. I have a secondary Android phone for work, and having to use Office365 across the board is made much easier by being able to integrate across all devices regardless of OS. I could talk at length about this but Overall, I've taken to the switch pretty well, though if an M3 macbook air gets released, I might just get a secondary laptop. Because why not? Right?
In 2020, I bought a Lenovo Legion 5 with a Ryzen 7 4800H processor and an RTX 2060 and I couldn't be more happier with it, however, the new Apple Silicon Macs kept winking at me until I bought one a couple of months back. I now have both and I love the MBP: is a beautiful laptop, the software situation is now more or less fixed and the screen is gorgeous, however, for what I do I feel it still falls short, especially because of the RAM situation and Apple's stubbornness and sheer greed to charge outrageous prices for upgrades and I'm seriously considering returning it to get that money back and MAYBE, when M3 comes out, explore again the possibility of giving it another chance. For now, I'm still pretty happy with my Legion as I was able to upgrade it to 32GB or RAM and put a 2TB NVMe SSD, on top of the 1TB Samsung EVO Pro that came wit it. Also as you mentioned, the software situation on PCs has gotten better, particularly with Windows 11 and I feel like now more than ever, having a good-spec PC is worth it.
I tried at least 3 times to go back to windows but definitely I can't, All the windows laptops screens sucks, (color, sharpness and contrast, no gaming hz) im a photographer and developer, always come back to Mac (im a .net developer, so weird jaja). btw, I freaking love the color palette of your videos :)
As a dedicated MacBook Pro user, still I grew up using Windows XP, Vista, and 8. So I'll always have a warm spot in my heart for the Windows platform and I still like to see the latest offerings ever once in a while. This looks like a solid laptop for heavy usage. I can even see someone being able to do some gaming on it too
I did too, a couple of months ago. I switched from MacOs to Windows 11. Apple Ecosystem is brilliant, but I was feeling a bit claustrophobic. The ipad, iPhone, macbooks were becoming too pricey for me, and the specs were getting very poor. I think Nvidia RTX was the one that gave the final push.
i love the content that you create. It makes me feel like Im keeping up with a friend and their daily life as a content creator. I hope you continue to progress with the success you have been having!
Good to see you trying out Windows again. I had too much hassle and issues with Windows 10 lately therefore I have gone full Linux Mint for development. Only docker desktop makes me headaches.
ive tried man but just work wont allow me to rock a full linux setup I need adobe and stuff :/ beeen loooving the WSL config tho. I have it on my Custom Machine too
Use Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC, is the most stable, lightweight and less bloated version of windows, for comparision just in RAM usage in my old Asus VivoBook 12G RAM: w11 38% usage idle, windows 10ELTSC 23% idle same software installed with no tweaks at all just stock config
I'll be honest, I loved my HP Probook - build was superb and it was a nice laptop. After switching to M2 Macbook air, every windows laptop now seems... not really up to the standard. It's like you can't have the whole package with any other laptop at the moment - the power, the battery life, the build quality, screen, touchpad - everything in one small and thin package.
My personal laptop is a 2020 13" MacBook Pro (the last Intel one), I have a gaming PC with a Ryzen 5800x and 3070Ti (Windows 11), and my work laptop is a mid-range 15" VivoBook (Windows 11) with some kind of a Ryzen cpu in it and a 1080p OLED display. The VivoBook honestly impressed me, given it isn't really a high-end laptop at all. I work mainly in .NET on back-end, but do a little bit of front-end work in React here and there. Battery life is pretty good considering how demanding my local environment can be and how much needs to be running, though it throttles the clock speed pretty hard when unplugged (only Apple Silicon really seems to avoid this, in fairness). My only real complaints are the screen resolution (1080p doesn't leave you with much screen real estate), and the trackpad is nowhere close to as good as the one on my MacBook Pro. Otherwise, it's super solid. Windows in 2023 is not the same Windows in 2008 that pushed me to get a MacBook in the first place. It's stable, performs well, and the interface and general quality of life features are way closer to macOS than ever before. Little things like searching for files in Explorer still bug me (macOS searches take 2-5 seconds, Windows searches take 20 seconds to multiple minutes), or dealing with driver issues as Windows Update and Asus' own MyAsus don't always seem to get along out of the box, but this is still incomparably better of a situation than it was 10 years ago. Would I switch my personal laptop out for a Windows machine next time around? Honestly, no. I still prefer macOS for anything but gaming. But, I'm not gonna be the guy telling people what works best for their use-case or what they should like.
this video was totally unexpected, watching this on my Asus vivobook s15 OLED and never felt so good about my decision to go for this instead of macbook air m1.

Great video bro! Love the whole vibe of your channel. I switched from a MBP to a Galaxy Book 3 Ultra. I prefer Windows generally. It took a while to get used to this keyboard setup and trackpad placement, but now I am used to it, I absolutely love it. My Mac doesn't get used. I also have an iPhone 14 Pro Max as well as S23 Ultra. I go between the two, but when I'm using the two Ultras, it's completely seamless - as good as the iPhone / Mac combo.

Great Video ! i have questions 😁 , is it good for all kind of heavy work such as Mobile development ? And also i want to install a Linux distro to be my only OS , is it compatible ?
Was really tend to get a Windows Laptop for my business (coding and IT Consulting), but the hardware prices and poor standby let me tend towards a M3 Pro for about 2k€
I graduated comp sci, I have an engineering degree as well, im just a massive nerd and I love codin for fun. Good video :) Interesting to see how the windows world has evolved .. nevertheless, this computer surely does not make me want it compared to my mac ! i think macs are miles ahead :) but it's just my opinion ... and it's good that everyone can have a computer for his own tastes :)
Hey Andres little confusing for me, this definitely A great laptop for students as well as for editing purposes, but i find one more laptop as same like this Asus vivobook pro 15 OLED having a graphic card and good amount of SSD and ram, with ryzen 7 octa core Amd R7- 4800H ?
I was loving WSL2, but eventually I realized "it's time for real Linux OS". I wasn't satsfied with its memory usage and GUI support. After switching to Linux, and finally getting DaVinci Resolve Studio to work, I don't have any more reason to use Windows as daily driver OS. (In fact, Resolve was the reason I bought Windows in the first place. I was Linux user before)
The fact that you choose Vivobook Evo instead of Zenbook Evo is interesting, considering the level difference between Zenbook and Vivobook is a bit huge. Ps: Both are manufactured by Asus

@@andresvidoza We share something in common my brotha! Keep up the great work!
Wait, what is USSR (СССР) doing at 2:33???
GPU sag in your custom PC is a killer!!!
Hello from me too, the presentation you made with ASUS was very good, I'm from Europe where can I buy it? thank you, I see that Amazon doesn't have it yet! thanks
In need of laptop aesthetics. Plenty of desktop aesthetics. Need to compare Asus Vivobook, HP, Lenovo Think Pad, MacBooks… etc and not for gaming but reliability & work culture.
This is an awesome review, see u next weekend
haha see you next weekend bro
Hey! I just wanted to if you're still using it and how long the battery last for watching and normal media consumption? How long it lasts for software uses as well? Thank you! I'm planning to get either the r7/r9, 3050, 2.8k oled version or the macbook air m2 15" base model.
bro your video is so insane, please how can i get the same color briant settinf on my pc (that brown one looking)? Or is it the quality of the video??
Is it that hard just to do video or do the image bigger @ 07:33 ? xDD barely want to show us xD
Awesome vid! What's that knife you used to open the box in the beginning?
thanks broski! its from grovemade actually
How do you like windows 11? Worth upgrading from windows 10?
It's just reskinned windows 10 with extra tpm requirements
You are full time UA-camr right, what/why do you code, like why were you practicing node.js
I graduated comp sci, I have an engineering degree as well, im just a massive nerd and I love codin for fun. Im trynna get back into ios dev so I just want to deal with node js to connect my front end to my backend. JS is sooo nice compared to like python and its frameworks imo. Ive tried quite a lot of diff backend technologies, even with Java and meh, JS always wins
Is it just me or do you have a grey tint of color on most application icon. (if yes, how did you do it?)
We need a video for whats its like to have the samsung s23 ultra with the macbook. That's my setup but im curious to see other's setup and how they use it.
Good video :) Interesting to see how the windows world has evolved .. nevertheless, this computer surely does not make me want it compared to my mac ! i think macs are miles ahead :) but it's just my opinion ... and it's good that everyone can have a computer for his own tastes :)
The PWM of this screen is insane..
ok so im not freaking crazy.. in real life obvs you dont see it but when I was editing I was like.. uh...
Were you get that black desk from ????? Very nice ,,,
ergonofis my boyy
So for someone trying to get into programming would itbe worth going for windows pc or a macbook with 16gb of ram? assuming the same cost
It's not 2.6 gigahertz
That's the base clock 5:28
Which VS Code theme are you using?
Hi there! Can I know the model of this laptop? Really interested to know!
Your gpu is in the wrong slot. Make sure to put it in the top pcie slot.
Which one?
What is the laptop name though? Can I have the link for me to buy one as well much appreciated😊
You have my drm gadgets I must say
could u do a video on different cameras, including budget options?
ill incorporate that into our budget vids then!
I was Linux user before)
MacOS ALL THE TIME !! Is the best powerful Operating System
No
Linux is the best
@@BitBaron it is not true
@@BitBaron linux is the least stable system
@@BitBaron Linux may be great, but not for someone who relies on Adobe for his main income.
Can you share your wsl2 setup guide?
ill update it because I did make one a whiiile back
What program do you use programing/coding??
Hello!
What theme do you use in vs code with orange color?
Or is it a video filter like this?
What VS Code theme were you using in this video?
shades of purple bro
The fact that you choose Vivobook Evo instead of Zenbook Evo is interesting, considering the level difference between Zenbook and Vivobook is a bit huge.
Ps: Both are manufactured by Asus
Exactly
may i kindly know which ASUS Vivobook you used in this video
Hello Andres, why is your gpu not in the top slot? :)
my freaking pci-e slot broke man smh.. I need a new mobo
@@andresvidoza Ah damn I see. I'm guessing with a 3090(?) it's probably not saturating the pci-e slot right know, so not a problem for now. Hope you find a new mobo sometime when you need it :D
how is the battery, keyboard and touchpad?
How's the fan noise on this laptop?
Pelagos looking 🔥🔥🔥
Can you make a video about day in the life with a budget smartphone???🎉
