Coming from a redeye owner, it’s not just the bump in horsepower that makes people want it over a standard hellcat. Forged internals, upgraded engine cooling, high stall torque converter, race hardened drive shaft, half shafts, and rear diff. Plus you can get the 3.09 gear which helped me turn a 2.6 0-60 and 10.29 quarter. That 10.8 quarter time is on factory pirelli tires. I also agree however that 95,000 is over priced, but sticker price on my redeye widebody with the 3.09 gear was 62,000. What you get with the redeye is worth the extra $ in my opinion.
Redeye Widebody is for those that have to have a Top-of-the-Line version of whatever their driving! Best Bang-For-Your-Buck in my opinion is the Scat Pack, especially if your just driving on the street‼️💯🤜🤛

@@ChrisPrimeFRT The display graphics seem slightly lower resolution but that's about it. I've had 2 Scats, one manual and one auto. The auto was faster. Both were fun to drive. The HC scares me a little at times. Its that fast.....there is a huge difference between 4 and 700 HP. That SC kicks in and it pulls hard and does not stop. You have to pay attention to what you are doing...it breaks traction even with TC on. Its a whole different driving experience.
what's crazy to me is alot of dealers asking more for used Chargers and Challengers than new ones! at least that was my experience when i started shopping for a new car few months ago. i ended up getting a new R/T challenger for a little more than a used one. only thing i can figure, is maybe it's cus dealers aren't required to offer rebates and savings on the used ones, like the new ones have right now. anyway, these were used ones that which some had nearly 100,000 miles, and they were asking new car prices. and still are. makes no sense
I have a 23 hellcat widebody, It’s more Car than I ever need or want I can’t imagine paying an extra $20,000 for 80 more horsepower. I’m happy and blessed to have a hellcat. I never considered buying a redeye, even if one was available. good job on the video. .

One have more desireable option than the other. My direct question to you is, Redeye at the end, costs $4500 more than the Hellcat. Should I just pull the trigger on the redeye? I know that its more rare on the redeye so to me thats worth it. Plz advise. This is just between redeye and hellcat. No other cars. Thx for your advise.
Honestly it’s personal preference. For me it was overkill and since I don’t drag race it was just a street wheel spinner and a cool flex on the road to those who knew what it was. If it’s not a daily driver then it’s a fun second car. I sold mine for a huge price and bought a Hellcat Charger hoping the lower horsepower is the perfect mix for what I use it for. In the end, the Redeye feels like a cool novelty if you don’t race it. And if you’re buying it believing it’ll go up in value then you’ll likely be disappointed unless you can hold it for 20+ years and keep the miles low. Even the demons are way down compared to their $150-200k marked up prices in 2018. So I’d say that if you could get a Redeye for sticker or less then go for it and just plan to spin your wheels all over town and look super cool doing it. Otherwise in my humble opinion, the Hellcat is plenty car.
Time for you to update this video to a 2021 version. You cannot buy a new non Widebody Hellcat for under $60,000. They are now selling in the low-to-mid 60s in FL. And a fully loaded non widebody is in the high 60s to low 70s, if you can find one. CoVid has wrecked havoc on dealer allocations and new car inventories.

Track night America, i’m usually the only Hellcat on the track, however does real well against the Corvettes and mustangs and the porches.Lotta fun to drive the hellcat on the open track without having to look in your mirror.

I've had my R/T Challenger about two years and I wouldn't get rid of it for nothing in the would. When the warranty expires I'm going to put a HRT stage 2 cam, long tube headers and a few other mods and call it a day. I will be buried in this car.
I love your videos, however, I have always made money on my performance cars. 3 of them were brand new, the other 12 were a year or 3 model years old. As Richard Rawlings always says, "your profit comes from buying it right". EG: Bought a 13 Boss 302 ($45k MSRP) May 2012 for $43k. Drove it 9800 miles over 2 1/4 years and sold it for $46k. I just made $10k off of a C7 Z06/Z07 7M after driving it for 20 months-put 5k miles on it. My used C8 Z51 is worth $99K+, got it with 1800 miles on for $70k.... buy the car for the right price.... i have 10+ other examples....

My bud just ordered from factory a Charger Redeye, $117,000 taxes in! He likes the best in his cars, but works 3 jobs to afford it. Redeye has the better drivetrain to mod when warranty is up.
I'm curios what the value on these cars with low miles will be in a 2024 and 2025 when they aren't making Challengers anymore. I got an 09 SRT8 with 26,000 miles last year for under 30k and felt pretty safe it's not gonna drop in value with weekend cruiser miles.
Watch my newer videos. But in short these are not investments. After people pay the huge mark ups they will be underwater for years since the dealers are taking any possible appreciation up front with the mark ups. If you can get it for msrp then you may have a chance to make back your money. These aren’t exotic low run hand made super cars. They’re dodges.

Never buy a new vehicle, find the with a couple thousand miles on them. I bought a used 2019 Ram 1500 Longhorn 4x4 TOTALLY LOADED OUT. It had 3,400 miles on it. I had to drive 700 miles away to get it, but I saved $18,000 over sticker price. 👍😎👍
Redeye's rule - yes the (slightly) lesser models are GREAT and the more specialized versions (demons) will beat them at their special event, but to daily drive and own, the Redeye RULES - so nice to drive, smooth power, tame under normal driving, but CRAZY on demand with terrific brakes. passing legally is much safer because you go by faster and spend less time in the oncoming lane. No envy of the Demon drive train, I have one.
Your right it is cheaper to just get a hellcat especially because I can get the exact same model and color I want on a hellcat but I am aiming high because sky is the limit
Interesting points. I haven’t driven a redeye to compare but I bought my 2016 Hellcat with 3000 miles for $51k 2 years ago and it hasn’t really lost much value. I’m seeing new narrow body Redeyes with no added options available for around 72k otd with power dollars. You have to finance with Chrysler Capital to use the power dollars. I’d bet the redeye acceleration is superior 100+ mph vs the standard hellcat.
It really does not seem worth the money......until you test drive one and the over the top power catches you in a fever and you must own one -have to own one and be in semi control of a wild beast you never want to fully unleash or out of its cage entirely. Its a monster rush- not to many can copy.
I’m a big fan of the second gen Challenger SRT8. That’s still an awesome blindingly fast car. 180 mph top end and there’s way more left in that engine with bolt ons. Good video.
The interesting thing is the redeye only makes about 40-50 more hp to the tire than the standard hellcat suggesting the power number is accurate in the redeye and underrated in the standard hellcat. You do get better lower end blower and drivetrain components in the redeye. Worth 20k? Doesn't seem so once both cars are lightly modded.
Taking money off the table, the only reason to not get a Red Eye that I can think of is if you have to have the 6 Speed. I know that's why I'm going with the standard wide body as I just didn't feel right test driving the auto. Waiting for power dollars to come back, then my order will be placed. Sure wish Dodge would offer the 3.09 rear with the standard HC like they do the Red Eye, that's really the only regret I'm feeling with my soon to be order.

I had my choice to get a hellcat or a scatpack in 2016 and I chose the Scatty,I have friends that have hellcats so I’m able to drive them,2020 I still love my Scatpack,have no desire to own a Hellcat
I got my new 2020 Hellcat in F8 green for 64K. If someone was mechanically inclined, they could pulley and tune their Hellcats to make similar numbers to a Redeye. It will never be a Redeye, but bang for buck, your saving money with a hellcat and modding it out from that trim. Doesn't mean that when the time presents itself, I'm not getting a Redeye though! Awesome video.

I own a 2015 Hellcat and a 2019 Hellcat Redeye and the difference is night and day.

Never buy a new vehicle, find the with a couple thousand miles on them. I bought a used 2019 Ram 1500 Longhorn 4x4 TOTALLY LOADED OUT. It had 3,400 miles on it. I had to drive 700 miles away to get it, but I saved $18,000 over sticker price. 👍😎👍
Redeye's rule - yes the (slightly) lesser models are GREAT and the more specialized versions (demons) will beat them at their special event, but to daily drive and own, the Redeye RULES - so nice to drive, smooth power, tame under normal driving, but CRAZY on demand with terrific brakes. passing legally is much safer because you go by faster and spend less time in the oncoming lane. No envy of the Demon drive train, I have one.

Your right it is cheaper to just get a hellcat especially because I can get the exact same model and color I want on a hellcat but I am aiming high because sky is the limit
Interesting points. I haven’t driven a redeye to compare but I bought my 2016 Hellcat with 3000 miles for $51k 2 years ago and it hasn’t really lost much value. I’m seeing new narrow body Redeyes with no added options available for around 72k otd with power dollars.
You have to finance with Chrysler Capital to use the power dollars.
I’d bet the redeye acceleration is superior 100+ mph vs the standard hellcat.
I got my 16 HC for 54k with 2100 miles, 18 months old. A bit high in price, but exactly the car I wanted. Like brand new.

It really does not seem worth the money......until you test drive one and the over the top power catches you in a fever and you must own one -have to own one and be in semi control of a wild beast you never want to fully unleash or out of its cage entirely. Its a monster rush- not to many can copy.

I’m a big fan of the second gen Challenger SRT8. That’s still an awesome blindingly fast car. 180 mph top end and there’s way more left in that engine with bolt ons. Good video.

The interesting thing is the redeye only makes about 40-50 more hp to the tire than the standard hellcat suggesting the power number is accurate in the redeye and underrated in the standard hellcat. You do get better lower end blower and drivetrain components in the redeye. Worth 20k? Doesn't seem so once both cars are lightly modded.
A builder of very fast Dodges said the Hellcat is around 750 hp.
No true it's 90 hp more with a 3.09 grear....

Taking money off the table, the only reason to not get a Red Eye that I can think of is if you have to have the 6 Speed. I know that's why I'm going with the standard wide body as I just didn't feel right test driving the auto. Waiting for power dollars to come back, then my order will be placed. Sure wish Dodge would offer the 3.09 rear with the standard HC like they do the Red Eye, that's really the only regret I'm feeling with my soon to be order.
Oddly enough, I'm not inspired to buy a red eye anymore, I'm inspired to own more property first. Nice home, and of course, bad ass ride!🙌🏽🙌🏽

I had my choice to get a hellcat or a scatpack in 2016 and I chose the Scatty,I have friends that have hellcats so I’m able to drive them,2020 I still love my Scatpack,have no desire to own a Hellcat

I got my new 2020 Hellcat in F8 green for 64K. If someone was mechanically inclined, they could pulley and tune their Hellcats to make similar numbers to a Redeye. It will never be a Redeye, but bang for buck, your saving money with a hellcat and modding it out from that trim. Doesn't mean that when the time presents itself, I'm not getting a Redeye though! Awesome video.

Regular hellcat the way to go same engine as the demon only difference is bigger supercharger and race gas tune
The engine internals are different in the Demon (same as red eye) and there are a few other heavier duty items and suspension that get it to 9.6 sec.
