- In Todays video we take a little look at Grim Dawn in 2024. The game has progressed a lot over the years and we are seeing what the experience is like for players, or something like that.

Key Features
Dual Class - Combine any of six distinct classes with over 25 skills and modifiers per class. Base classes include Soldier, Demolitionist, Occultist, Nightblade, Arcanist and Shaman.
Hundreds of Item Skills - Augment your class build with a diverse array of over 250 unique skills granted by items and equipment add-ons.
Collect hundreds of Items - Common, magical, rare, epic and legendary classes of loot. Plus over 20,000 possible magical affix combinations and over 200 rare affixes.
Quests with Choice and Consequence - You will face tough decisions that leave significant impacts upon the world. Strangers on the road, desperate families and even entire villages may live or perish based on your actions. Currently over 35 quests with 75+ lore notes to be collected.
Friendly and Enemy Factions - Earn favor with human factions to unlock additional quest lines, vendor discounts and special faction-based items and augments. Some neutral factions can be turned into allies but aiding one will make the enemy of another. Hostile factions will remember your deeds and deepen their hatred of you, sending out large packs and elite heroes to hunt you down.
Devotion, an additional layer of skill customization allows you to acquire bonuses and powerful secondary effects for your class skills. These are unlocked from a giant constellation map with points acquired by finding and restoring destroyed or corrupted shrines hidden throughout the world.
Rebuild the World - Help human enclaves survive and flourish by securing vital necessities, rebuilding structures and rescuing survivors who can then lend their services to your cause.
4 Person Multiplayer - Connect with Friends or make new allies in glorious multiplayer. Multiplayer encounters will put your teamwork to the ultimate challenge.
Fast-paced Visceral Combat - Enemy blood spatters, ragdoll physics and satisfying enemy death effects. Smash in doors and fight house to house, leaving a path of demolished furniture in your wake.
Rotatable Camera - If you choose to survey the full beauty of the world and always fight from the most optimal angle. Levels are still designed so that players are not forced to rotate the camera; it is purely optional.
Secrets and Perils Abound - 200+ Enemy heroes and bosses, hand-configured with their own unique arrays of deadly skills. 20+ secret areas hidden behind crumbling walls, hidden gaps and mysterious locked doors. Explode obstacles or repair structures to open new paths.
Rogue-Like Dungeons - Descend into special locked challenge dungeons that require a rare crafted key, where enemy levels increase as you progress and player teleport is disabled. There is no way out except to complete the dungeon or die trying.
Dynamic Weather - The world is brought to life with region-specific climates and a variety of weather effects. A sunny day can cloud over with mild rain showers that builds into a booming thunderstorm. Variable wind gusts blow grass and affect objects like windmills.
Recipe Based Crafting - Collect over 250 crafting recipes that allow you to combine salvaged components into unique crafted items and then, later, use those basic crafted items with higher-tiered recipes to complete items of amazing power.
Reclaim Skill Points - The ability to pay to reclaim points alleviates the fear and frustration of having to make early, uninformed skill choices that could permanently gimp a character.
This is a game I return to from time to time. Still one of the best ARPG in this day and age despite it being 7-ish years old.
It is an absolute gem, the sense of progression is intoxicating.
It is the best aRPG still. I have to play Last Epoch to see how it stacks up, but it is a high bar to clear.

I bought this game back in 2020 and didn't start it until 2022. This is the diablo killer
Spent 2k+ hours and accomplished 100% achievements. Waiting for the next expansion !
Ole Reliable
Hello mate, I am about to start this game for the first time and am new to this game genre. Is there any starting build that you would suggest for a scrub like me. Preferably something visually interesting with good damage and survivability.

Quick Sidenote. Dont even bother about your build before hitting lvl 94 or even 100.
Just play the game how you want and how you get the items.
Not true for veteran/ultimate difficulty tho. I don't suggest new players to gd pick that mode.Veteran boost mob health/damage massively, and you actually want competent build and as much power/survivability as you can to combat boosted damage/health of enemies. While you can maybe power through vet without coherent build, it's going to be boring slog.Ultimate after act one stop holding back completely and without 80% resists + decent healthpool/DA you just going to die to cronley gang. To check if you ready for ultimate i would suggest trying to kill bosses in bandit arena of act 2(ultimate). They are surprisingly strong and they are actually copies of famous GD players and their builds.
You don't need build to beat normal, that is actually true. Fairly sure you can just clear base game with abilities from components/gear. Veteran boosts enemy health to like elite/ultimate levels, so fireball component going to lose it's power very fast...Don't think Veteran is even worth it, despite 10% xp boost/more elites spawns.

I didnt follow any build. I just took the Items I thought are good and tried to push my resis.
It wasnt even hard. The only annoying thing was the one shots from these fat butcher guys.
I feel like Grim Dawn is really one of the real hidden gems out there. I do not play it all the time but it is definitely something I go back to on occasion and I recommend it to anyone that likes ARPGs
Been playing since 2016 on my all in one pc until 2019 I decided to build my ow gaming PC and I still go back to this game.
Started playing this one on winter holidays in 2023. Bought expansions week ago. I will finish it after PoE Necropolis, if LE doesn't have anything solid to offer. What a time to be alive. Future is bright.

I bought this on release. It remains the best aRPG I have played. I still need to play Last Epoch, though. I am anticipating the expansion though.
You joke about "stinky bum" but there is an item in-game that....well I won't spoil it but it was a nice touch on the part of the Devs. EDIT You found them, I was taken aback by the beautiful immaturity of that item. One of Grim Dawn's strongest aspects is the variety of viable builds, this was also true of Titan Quest (which is worth dipping back to as well).

Ragdoll physx is insane
Been that way since Titan Quest which is what this engine was built on top of.

Fighting reanimator at level 5 is not as difficult as this Not a good idea at level 4. More likely to not get that far till level 6. By level 5, you should have components. Stick a level 5 component into your green weapon that will give a powerful spell for that level.
