Can just picture that beautiful beast driving down a desert road.
The toecutter, he knows who I am!
Conrad Kenneth I’m hotter than a rolling dice. Step right up chum & watch the kid lay down the rubber road RIGHT TO FREEEEEEEEEEEDOMMMMM
U cant kill me man, not for stealing a man's boots.
I'm the NIGHTRIDER
The Nightrider. That is his name... the Nightrider. Remember him when you look at the night sky!
@@Seeeeyaaaa I will
Love seeing these cars from around the world. Australia rockin it!
Th Pursuit special. The car that The night rider stole in Mad Max
Max's car was ALSO a Pursuit special. Its funny cause it was mentioned on the police radio as a Pursuit Special after Max stole it. Its mentioned in the original press kit for the first and second movie as being a Pursuit Special. But one random character in part 2 calls it a Interceptor once and that is all anyone calls it now.
The nightrider. The feul injected suicidemachine. great times.
I am the night rider laying down a rubber road right to freedom !
"the mighty hand of vengence , sent down to strike the iron roadworthy.."!
The toe cutter knows who I am.
Thank you for posting during this time of world crisis. A wonderful distraction to a world in darkness.
These Mad Max cars might become a reality at this rate.
IT'S THE BRONZE!
Very nice recreation. Always wanted one myself but my version would be a street/drag car capable of blowing Max and Toecutters doors off.
Wish I could show you guys my 1979 Bandit Trans Am project. Got it last year and waiting for the time and $$$ to take it apart and do a full restoration on it. Very cool Mad Max Monaro Daniel!
Ha! Cool as.😎 I grew up in the U.S. & live in New Zealand now. Nice to see a Monaro on here. Australian G.M. products are quite cool in most cases.
Aussie Built Cars Are Built Tough & Strong 😃😍. Nothing Beats An Australian Built Cars 😃
We remember the knight rider! And we know who you are bronze!
See you on the road, SKAG!
Wow what a car, well done to the person who sent it in. Thanks for sharing this video. Many great memories of a classic Australian icon
Count says "it rocks" and i reply , fuckin oath it rocks , it's my favorite muscle car coupe of all time and the 73" Statesman hq with the same 3 fitty is my favorite 4 door.
"always reminds me of mad max" with a mad max afp replica right there in the background [ 4 door xb falcon with the lairy paint job on the right] and the hq is a replica of knight rider's get away car in the first scene of the movie!
Looking forward to seeing this one - my brother had one when I was a kid. Loudest street car he ever had.....
You've gotta see a holden lx a9x ss torana, you'll love it.
My favourite Australian muscle car. Had an LX in my youth.
@@Aearonjer Me too, first car
Miss seeing these drive around every day 😢 their all hidden away
I had a xb 4 door that I wanted to build a intercepteder, would be worth a fortune now
The LX is a pocket rocket.
Love the mad max vibe.
"Metal damage. Brain damage! Are you listening bronze!?"
Danny you should come over to Australia here mate next year to see the Australian summer nats in January next year here mate cheers from cameron in Victoria Australia here mate
THE NIGHT RIDER ! Remember him when you look up the night sky.
Great video Count 👍. Australian car culture is very much aligned with the US. Aussies love their V8s and muscle cars.
Yes cars were a big part of our culture, it's all been destroyed and taken away from us now. first it was our Australian V8 which beat the Fords and the Chevys for the best part of 20 years and now our whole car industry has been taken away.🤬
i love you Danny KOKER thank you so much for showing this your a inspiration to us all i'm so glad it put a smile on your face mate. love your work.
Much respect from Australia 🌏💪
I am Balinise Man, I love Holden Monaro long time go I have Holden Kingswod all the Holden the Suspention very flexible and Smooth ❤️👍
That is a Mad Max memorabilia heaven! Wow!
You want to get down here Danny boy, you would love it ! Love your shows and now your online stuff and your car skills (and your crew)are brilliant. Stay safe guys and keep it rolling !😎👍
Remember him when you look up at the night sky
Sounds great!
Fantastic show
I actually want that car more than the max interceptor. Mostly because im a chevy guy. Holden pursuit special 😁🚔
Me to. I like it more than the interceptor. This is te car i build if i was not in the netherlands and we don't have cars like this.
@@MsTankrat well you better have very deep pockets. The price of Holden Monaro coupes has gone through the roof. I owned one back in the 80's, today if I still owned it, I would be sitting on a $100,000 car.
Great! A Hug from Brazil Danny!
Mad max vibe with the interceptor behind it
Hi Danny love the 73 Holden very cool and no bling on it at all 🤘
Very toey, remember him when you look to the night sky...
Snap!
Whatever you say.
Love the car!! Looks like a fun muscle car!
Danny you need to have one in your collection
Our family car growing up, a ls monaro 2 door, 202 column auto
Thank you so much for showing Australian cars.I realise we are the poor relation in terms of muscle cars & V8's compared with the USA but our local cars mean a lot to us & our history down here.
Socialism now that sounds good.
You rock Danny
We’re still in pursuit max!
I really need to get my cars sorted so they're more presentable, got an '82 El Camino, an '09 Crown Victoria P71 and of course my family's '69 Plymouth Road Runner. Maybe one day i'll send some pictures your way Danny, love your work, love your show, hope to see you down in Detroit again some day!
That's awesome.....
Favorite car from the 1979 movie, Australian Muscle is Bad Ass.
Sweet, go Sydney! In particular Mona Vale.
It is not from Sydney. It's from Victoria.
Well done on the car mate.
The car of my birth year i love it
Watch the boy lay down a rubber road to freedom mmm!!!!
I am the knight rider, sent to strike down the unroardworthy :)
Although the actual Monroe in the movie didn't have a cast iron lion 308.....had a side plated red 6 thru an aussie 4 spd....real tonner stuff lol!!!🇦🇺
This car has a Chevy in it, fool
@@bodgiesteve8849 He talking about the Original HQ Monaro Car in the Movie
The Original HQ Monaro from the Movie was Owned by GM-Holden Salmon street, Port Melbourne and it's Original Color was Gold and was a 202 6Cyl Holden Motor and Factory 4-Speed when GM-Holden owned it.
@@666theninja wasn't gold
@@truebluefilmsaustralia8143 yes it's Factory Colour was Gold and it's first owner was GMH Salmon street, Port Melboune. I have a photo of the MFP HQ Monaro with it's Vic Number Plate and rego checked it at Vic Roads Archives. There is a photo of the MFP HQ Monaro with the Boot up when they were fitting the Rocket for that scene in Mad Max and you can see the Gold Paint under the colour they painted it in for Mad Max.
Fantastic car Dan. Goose fears the night rider!
that thing kicks ass
Holden monaro is wicked
i seen a black LH Torana in a motor mag about 2016 xxx ? i kept the magazine
the engine bay was chrome & red one best rebuild cars ive seen .
This car is a replica from the first chase in the first Mad Max movie. The details are spot on. There was another one in the garage in the movie, but it had lights on the roof. What's interesting to note is that from what I can see, it's a '71/72 model. Besides the compliance plates (In Australia, they have two plates attached to somewhere on the body. With these it was on the firewall. One lists the specs of the car, as factory codes. The other lists the Australian design rules it complies with, as well as the month/year it was built) there are only two other ways to tell the difference between the early (1971-72) and late (1973-74) HQ Series Holden. One is the speedometer is in miles an hour in the early build, and the front flashers and park light are combined behind the one lens. A design rule change for January 1st, 1973 required the speedometer to be in kilometres per hour, and the front flashers to have orange lenses. They also had to be separate from the park lights
My favourite make and model. Didn’t brake well and didn’t really like hard corners. But damn they were wicked.
The dude on the bike with the Mohawk was pretty cool.
Mad Max 2.
HJ gts coupe is my Australian dream car, it's like this car but has a tuffer late model front clip and a 350 only 500 made. I do miss my 73 HQ four door though.
you mean HJ LE Monaro.
@@john-1964 you mean the LE Coupe. The LE was never badged as a Monaro. I had a HQ Monaro, but would have gladly traded it for a LE coupe. Also they were released during the HX series, so not sure if they were still considered a HJ or a HX. Probably HJ since they were left over bodies from the HJ Monaro run.
@@DodgyBrothersEngineering well i learn something new every day, cheers for enlightening me.
There's a Bogan Tradition in "Straya... street drag racing. Not so active these days. This thing comes from that background. Scaring the Squares was always fun.
oh you mean the american tradition?
@@shredBucketheadshred yes and no... we didn't have anywhere near the number of traffic lights you lot had, even way back then. Our races tended to be around corners, not lights to lights.
And THIS car wasn't built for the US, THIS is Australian... mate... and kicks Yank Tank ass all day and night...
We build BETTER cars and better engines. I admit your V8 gearbox and diff combinations are usable to a certain extent. But the rest is garbage for garage. Your garage, not mine... no Yank Tank has graced my garage and it never will. MAAAATE
Go count go
We love our 99 trans am with the LS1 and the cold air induction system slp ram air
Can’t figure out how to send pics of our ride
A black 'Pursuit Special' Holden Monaro, stolen by the Nightrider, is one of the first vehicles to appear in the film. It manages to evade MFP recapture efforts until the arrival of Max Rockatansky
in the pursuit. While attempting to outrun Max, the Nightrider does not
react in time to avoid wreckage on the road and crashes at high speeds,
killing himself and his girlfriend, as well as destroying the Monaro.
Like always danny is cool.
hello to you an everyone here be safe out by you
It needs the blower sticking out with breather scoop.
327 can be built with pretty good power.
Last of the V8's! Wow!
"I am the Night Rider!!!!" "A fuel injected suicide machine!!!!!"🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂 "Watch me ride my way to freedom!!!!" That car was totally badass!!!! I also like that Ford falcon that Mad Max drives also!!!! The yellow cop car with the blue and red stripes!!!!
HQ, MFP Pursuit Special Replica
Very toey. On methanol.
I am the NIGHTRIDER
Wicked :)
Greetings from the international space station!
Please telecast new episodes on history tv18!! So much love from india❤
Just needs the GTS Monaro 1973 sports steering wheel to set it off. Nice car.
FINALLY A AUSSIE CAR ON COUNT KUSTOMS 😃 OR IS IT KOUNT 🤔. I CAN'T REMEMBER 🤔
The first episode was an XB Coupe. Every bit Australian as a HQ Monaro.
Holden HQ Monaro
Folks, The rollover chassis of the 1973 GMH Monaro was identical to the rollover chassis of the GM Pontiac Firebird Trans-Am, which was featured in the Smoky And The Bandit movies. In the early 1980''s there was a New Zealand company which would build a replica Smoky And The Banded Pontiac Firebird Trans-Am movie car using a donated GMH Holden Monaro rollover chassis. The owner of the company let me drive one of these amazing replica Smoky And The Banded Pontiac Firebird Trans-Am movie cars, and it had an identical engine, manual transmission and interior using a fiberglass body to the original movie car. The owner of the company used to be the detailer for the original George Barris Batmobile in the USA.🤠
finly a ozzey HQ u will love it
cool as hell..i'm from n.maine that means hot
I hope your head gets better.
It's problem was power steering not regulated for the speed they could do , they flipped , but it was faster than anything on the road at the time Except ''Moffat's GTHO Falcon Phase III''
Yeah that power stearing issue was scary as hell.
Twitchy as a methhead on a 3 day binge when you got them moveing .
The Bloke doesn't even know what trans is in it hahahaha a true car guy
Mad Max car sweeet 😀😀😀😀👍👍👍👍
Go the Bogans. Fooooly sic man.
The car in the background is mad Max inspired just from the colours.
Please make more shows on the history channel 😭
The car was the night ridder in mad max 1
Danny it's not even in Sydney Australia here mate it's in Melbourne Victoria Australia that car is at mate
it was filmed in melbourne but was edited in sydney Cameron lol
@@truebluefilmsaustralia8143 oh ok nice
_you see me, Bronze_
I been to counts customs Las Vegas
I gotta send you a video you will love my Australian Muscle car
Boy , those long arm rests are getting hard to find in good nick , the only thing I need to complete the interior in my Premier wagon .
The Original HQ MFP Monaro used in Mad Max was Originally a Standard 6Cyl HQ Monaro Owned By GM-Holden Salmon street, Port Melbourne. Was owned by the Maker of the Car. Was originally Gold and a 202 6Cyl Red Motor with Factory 4 Speed when GMH owned it then later on it ended up to be the MFP Monaro for Mad Max. Ironic that GM-Holden was the First Owner on the Most Famous HQ Monaro of all time.
Unfortunately that famous car ended up at Sims metal. Thanks to a Mad Max crew member 😭
@@truebluefilmsaustralia8143 Such a shame, Where is Max's Sandman Van, looking for the Van's original Vic number plate. Byron Kennedy owned it i heard.
@@666theninja nope the van was own by one of the crew the car went back to him
Needs a little blue Bongo van to complete the set.
True. Bongos would be rarer than the Monaro hey?
That intro music, isn't that Dave Weckyl?
I enjoy your channel and have been taking a lot of pics of my current project, hoping to get it featured in a year or two when it's done. However, I NEED your help! My project is a V-8 Ranger swap but, my plan is to make it look like an old farm truck (not that "patina" bs). I've already built a stake bed and, the paint is planned. However, I'd REALLY like to have dual wheels on the rear. Do you know ANYPLACE that will build me a set of four 15" REAL dually rims with a 5x4.5" lug pattern?
Was there a military dedication on the rear quarter panel?
That’s the MFP logo, it usually says “Maintain Right”
MFP stands for Main Force Patrol, that was the police in the first mad max movie
I'm pretty sure that's not Sydney. Werribee Victoria near Melbourne.
I am the knight rider, awesome vehicle. Soooooooo freaking sexy
Pursuit special on methane, super hot.
From NSW with Victorian club reg?
The car alone is worth $100,000 AUD but now that it's a Nightrider MFP Pursuit who knows the value PRICELESS !!
Worth about the same. The Mad Max make over wouldn't add any value to it. It's not an original movie car.
the reason why it reminds you of a mad max car is cause its a mad max car
he is game driving with that blue light in view. The cops would come down on him like a tonne of bricks. nice ride though.
He might get some leeway with his club permit. Might. Also depends on which cop you get on the day.
