The animations... they look so silky smooth.... I also dig how bright and colourful this looks, makes it stand out a ton in an era of very darkly lit and/or themed metroidvanias!

@@btfDrews Played the demo, and I was right. Haven't felt movement and combat this fluid since I first played Hollow Knight! It feels almost splatoon-ish (Can't _possibly_ imagine why, lol) Wish I could save progress so I could more consistently 100% the demo without needing to worry about losing all my progress 90% in, but I understand why its there. Only complaints so far are easily fixable, I-frames are a bit unbalanced, those stupid speaker head enemies attack WAY too fast after pulling you in, basic game balance stuff like that. And even then I couldn't get mad at the game because as soon as I found a flaw I was on to the next INCREDIBLE platforming feature! (Love the concept of the portal beams, feels very, well, Portal-y!) There were like, five times throughout playing when I experienced a huge rush of excitement, two important ones being when I first got the enemy lock-on dash, and the second being when I first reached the portal area. You've got a great game on your hands here, take your time and make it the next big thing!
Right now we only have our one color purple that turns into black if you spam your abilities too much. But be assured that we have some very creative mechanics/uses for our paint - even if it's not the obvious "switching colors to do different things" one :)
I like this a lot more than Hollow Knight. I don’t understand why there is so much attention and expectation from Silksong when there is Constance In no way inferior in quality and visuals. I'll wait for the release.
I guess Hollow Knight is sort of the reason we are getting new metroidvanias like this one. Say all you want, but Hollow Knight deserves the credit it gets.

I'm not belittling Hollow Knight is a great metroidvania, I just think it's too overhyped because not everything about it is that good. For example, I'm looking forward to this game a lot more than the Hollow Knight silksong.
Kind of a depressing end. She's looking at computer screens in the dark and has a dirty bowl on the desk... I see no issues here! Just an average gamer.

Look, nothing is truly something original, more so having inspirations of any kind. Art is not just how impressive or original it is, but more how it's able to be it's own thing and experiment upon it. It's alright to notice similar details or easter eggs in a game, animation etc. But if we assume it's the only thing that judges something, than we would be missing out on other things. @@imanuelthiele6935
