- Moon Samurai is a 2D sci-fi action metroidvania platformer developed by Nunchaku Games. Players will assume the role of a young warrior to defeat a corrupted government and its reign on the lunar city-state of RAM City. Utilize cyber-implants, martial arts skills, skull-crushing nunchaku, an energy katana, and more to parkour across vibrant pixel-art lunar cityscapes. Moon Samurai is launching in late 2025 for PlayStation 4 (PS4), PlayStation 5 (PS5), Xbox Series S|X, Nintendo Switch, and PC with a Kickstarter available now.

Combat looks fun. This is the step towards fluidity that side scrollers need to keep up going forward

Finally we have come full circle when pixels are not replaced by 3D, but an accepted art form, which unlike 3D will age so much better! After Double Dragon Gaiden, TMNT Shredders Revenge & Blazing Chrome, finally games like these have a platform to rise in mainstream once again!
Retro gaming was alive and triving, getting on the Mainstream again is amazing but It was not strugling ar all, besides 3d won't age anymore

Man this is one of the coolest trailerz I've seen recently.
this looks really cool, both thematically and art style, but just watching the trailer it feels like something that plays with really sluggish/unresponsive controls. hope they find the balance between the animations and the way it actually feels to play. definitely a lot of style cues from Katana Zero tho, no doubt.
