i hope the child that tied Boston to the bench back then had a chance to grow up unscathed in that environment. The compassion and the ability to make such a decision/find such a solution for Boston so that he can lead a better life shows me a very special personality. Wherever you are, I hope you are well and that you never lose your compassion.❤🩹

Yes, I'm thinking a child. What a kind heart they had; they did the only thing they could think of to save him. It's so sad but I am glad they did, or I should say glad that it worked out well for Boston. Now he just needs a forever family. Let's manifest this!!!!!!

If you can abuse an animal you can probably abuse people so I hope he's okay too, but I wouldn't be surprised if he's being abused too sadly.
Whenever I see a video of an animal being left behind and so many comments say they wish the previous owner would burn in hell, I keep thinking "But you just don't know what their situation is."

@@jallan9578they were probably scared, or embarrassed to have to give up their dog. I’ve seen shelters judge people heavily for needing to give up their pets, even when they don’t know the full story.
How could people hear this story and see this sweet, happy boy, and not want to adopt him? So sad he got returned twice. He deserves a happy forever. Hopefully he gets the right family who can keep up with him.

Most people want a dog like they want a stuff animal--low maintenance and only "used" when needed. so sad.
It all depends on what country he is in and the surrounding area there may not be a larger population of people who have enough space for this guy
@@bikedawg why is that sad? People have differing lifestyles and physical abilities. In my golden retriever's first 3 years we went hiking and got out almost daily. But then I had my first kid and the long hikes dropped to a couple times per week. I had no idea my child would be diagnosed with a disability that limited our spontaneity even further. But by then she was older and was more content with being a "couch potato." So the new lifestyle fit her well.
I want to adopt one day but only when I’m financially able to support more than just my small boy.
I have worked so hard on my anger but I can not find compassion for those who abuse animals. Sweet baby. I'm so. Happy that his family member helped him escape from abuse

@@mip4422 The note left with the dog mentioned that he was mistreated by the family that owned him. I think it's safe to assume this mistreatment was in the form of abuse, whether physical, verbal or neglect.
Peaches, I agree, it is difficult if not impossible to find compassion for those that abuse animals.

So grateful that the person who saved the dog from abuse, was brave, sensitive and caring enough to realize he needed saving and saved him, even though it was hard to let go. But this person saved him and made a profound difference in the life of this sweet, innocent, defenseless dog. Many blessings to his rescuer 🙏

My sweet dog was up for adoption for 5 months before I met her. She was the most beautiful and loving girl. She never once did anything even slightly wrong. Why was she never adopted after months of adoption events and being on Petfinder? Because destiny was waiting to bring us together.
@@thenightporter my sweet baby girl was with an elderly lady who died, then adopted by a family with children & another dog.
She was already traumatized by the loss of her "mom" and the other dog HATED her. It wouldn't even let her out of the crate to eat. Because she was "frozen" & wouldn't come out of her crate to play, the family didn't want her. She was there for about 7 months.
I wasn't looking for a dog, but when I held her, she relaxed & nearly went to sleep. I just knew it was right.
She has had lots of fears, but we've been able to overcome nearly all of them over the last 2 years.
My heart is so full of love for her & although I wish she hadn't had to have bad experiences, our lives brought us together, and that's what really matters. ❤

Boston’s a lovely dog! He would be a great addition to someone’s family.
Especially if someone has corrected his habit of jumping up. BIG turn-off for many people, especially if he knocks kids down. I DO really hope he finds his forever home, preferably with other dogs so that he can play some of his energy out in a good way.

Labs are high energy working dogs, they're bred to retrieve birds for hunters, they have webbed toes for swimming...they need exercise 4 hours a day minimum

Labs are big and high energy but they are the most kind and loving dogs, so good w kids. I wish I could adopt Boston but my circumstances wouldn’t be fair to him.

I live in Western NY and I was looking for another dog, but the applications and interviews were so demanding and every time I wanted to see a dog I never got any responses back or was told the dogs were already adopted. Finally I asked to see this Doberman even though they are not best suited for me. I got him anyway because I was my only chance. He is great, but still the process is too frustrating.
Goodness, come to the south. You'll have to do an application for the shelter, but my sister just adopted and did 4 meet & greets at just one shelter and 2 at another. And her pup came home with her, to a county 4 hours away, that afternoon 😊
Boston is such a good boy and so deserving! There are so many singles and couples who are into hiking, kayaking, etc. There should be a perfect home for him!

God bless the (most likely) kid that left the dog there to protect him. That dog was clearly very dear to them, and probably one of the only ways they could be happy at home if the child is abused as well (which may be likely if the dog was) Hopefully whoever left Boston there is safe

People get dogs and instead of correcting their bad behavior they instead give them up. Every dog ive ever had besides the one I got a couple months ago was well behaved and easy to train. I just adopted a beagle mix and shes a problem dog. Chews everything up and is hard headed. I didnt say well this dog is too much ill take it to the pound. I spent many hours teaching it and though shes still a little demon she has improved so much. When you adopt a dog its for its life. You dont give something a home and then just kick it to the side because its gonna take some work.

What a beautiful, sweet, playful boy Boston is! I’m so surprised he hasn’t gotten adopted yet. Much gratitude and love sent to all those involved with his rescue. At least the person who abandon him had the good sense to get the poor baby out of harm’s way. So sad….how many animals that are subjected to cruelty. Well, he’s not anymore! I hope he finds a forever home soon. I am saving this video in case I come across anyone looking to adopt who would match his energy and give him all the love he deserves.
