Piccolo redemption was soooo good. Imagine being evil and being forced to protect your planet and the son of your enemy, but then because of this, you start to feel something deep in your heart aflourish. It would be like ending with a golden key if kami said before fusing "I'm proud of you".
Kami doesn’t show it but he definitely happy with piccolos growth over the course of Z forsure. I don’t know if proud is the word I’d use but something like that.
These AMV's make me reflect on Dragon Ball being more than just flashy fights and that a LOT of people forget the absolute masterpiece that were the DBZ character developments, and DBZ as a whole, i don't know, makes me feel... Proud...

Goku was my favourite character in Dragon Ball. Piccolo in Dragon Ball Z, and Vegeta in Dragon Ball Super. Teen Gohan took the spot from Piccolo for a second in the Cell Games, I could already see how his character progression would go, mimicking Goku's in some ways, but being even cooler (this was somewhat fuelled by flashbacks from Trunk's timeline), becoming someone who would try to shoulder the responsibility as the Earth's greatest protector, and then he turned into a ☝🤓.
