That close up at the beginning made me laugh and cough at the same time. I really wasn't expecting that. I swear you know how to make people laugh by just making faces
Tim Brown 😁I have personally been watching Richard around 3yrs now and that’s my Favorite part 👊🏻👊🏻and the fact that he is real... not make believe!! He also gives every important detail on exactly how is is successful and not keeping it a secret ❤️ is Most important 👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻just my opinion 👍🏻
Thank you so much for taking us with you again, Richard. That white crappie was an added bonus. Has anyone else noticed a drop off in the number of white crappie you see lately? Even other channels where they're crappie fishing it's practically always black crappie they catch. Is it just me?
wow sure am glad to see you out there thought the flood gates where running so havent got a chance to put the boat in the water but thanks alot for showing me how to catch them
Use to do alot of sauger fishing with my grandfather when he was still with us below the damn at Cordell Hull ...He drowned putting his boat in Martin's Creek on Cordell Hull lake 2 days before my 21st bday ....tragic accident had his life jacket on and everything .....so glad see your excitement about going fishing it reminds me so much of him ....Happy New Year's
Randle Richardson so you Were 2 pounds off my moms 2 cousin mr Voss caught the state record in 73 below pickwick dam it was over 7 lbs 7 ‘6 I believe yours was a good fish no doubt I was just wondering cause the biggest I have caught was 4lbs and grew up fishing for them . 5 lbs is a big saugher
I went to Guntersville Saturday the 27th and i have never seen the water as high and all the gates open on the dam!!!!! It was roaring and waves like the ocean!!!! Hope you and your family have a Happy and blessed Year!!!!
Fantastic video... Gene! Love all the details and explanations. Amazing info. Keep up the great work. You are super fun to watch and a great fisherman, I don't care what Elmo says. ;^)
Sauger fishing, enjoy the video's no matter what is biting. The crappie was a nice one to get off the bottom as you said. Have a wonderful 2020 to your family and you!
My Daddy always said "Ifin I had a head like at and it didn't hurt I'd go to the doctor and git it seen about." Thanks for the memory. I thoroughly enjoy your channel because you are so much like my family. Good job there Elmo.
Mr. Richard I've been out there several times this winter fishing with minnows caught a few dozen no keepers. Had some fella School me one day out there with swimbaits he caught about 10 of them all keepers. This was fishing from the rocks
Me and two of my best friends use to fish down there in the Mid 70's early 80's and we caught coolers full of sauger back then... I sure an glad to see that they maybe making a come back... In 2 or 3 years there should be some nice keeper size down there again... I have caught a few every year for the past 30 or so years but nothing like back then... I have not keep a sauger in 25 or 30 years. I always let them go no matter how big they are. I may keep one or two this year just to taste them again...
Believe it or not in my area fishing is best when its in the 30s cloudy drizzly and very windy and your so numb you cant feel yourself there always biting like crazy i guess crappie like cold and windy so have bass liked that stuff.
@@chadcrawford1502 oh there are many who fish here over winter,,,,this old man can't handle the cold with my medical issuses and getting the boat in the water.
Wow! Nice catches! Great way to start off 2020 with some saugers! Could we see a largemouth or spotted bass fishing video in the spring time for post spawn season?
Im in Oklahoma . We have a cross bred fish between a sauger and a walleye. They call them saugeyes . They say they tolerate warmer water better. My 11 yr old grandson was fishing with me last week and caught a 19 incher. I didn't weigh it but would guess about 3lbs. He was stoked , that was his first saugeye . Im stoked more cause now I've got a saugeye fishing buddy ! 8 )
