Man, it's really fun seeing the normally calm and reserved Tak get sucked into Nick's infectious excitement and giggle about explosions. Great game y'all
A CP reroll he didn't need to make. Lancers cannon does 1d6 + 3 damage each. After the Lancer reroll it was 3+3+6+1= 13 when I went to school Nick, not 11.
The battle rep was awesome, but something I noticed. I believe the shadowsword has devastating wounds against vehicles so at 23:37 Nick’s 6 to wound just flat out killed the lancer and Tak didn’t need to use a CP on the reroll attempt on 4+ invu
Thank you! We didn't realize that at the time so unfortunately it was an unnecessary CP spend by Tak. Something we now know and will look out for in the future.
I legitimately cheered when the Shadowsword not only got knocked out by a smaller tank, but ALSO blew up a goodly chunk of Nick's units; I also lost it at Tak's running streak of low rolls in that last round, those dice were out to get him! Thank you for such an amazing match, this was one of the best ones yet
Always happy to see a GSC match. Those free rez were so crucial this match, I can’t believe it came down to those charges. ALL HAIL THE FOUR-ARMED EMPEROR!!!
Man, those White Scars really pop from the battlefield, easy to see and love their simple but amazingly done color scheme - for the Cult it's a really nice and thematic rule to be able to use Guard vehicles, love it
19:05 - Let's just appreciate how crazy-good that tank shock roll was. 22 dice, looking for 5+ means that on average, you'll get between 7 and 8 mortals. He rolled 14.
An epic showdown! Was very excited to see some GSC again - glad to see Nick do the four-armed emperor proud! It was absolutely down to the wire!! A great video! Keep it up :D
Well, arguably that explosion was incredibly impactful, and that was Tak being LUCKY. In the end I think both were equally lucky/unlucky this game, felt really close
@thehappyfaceproducts 100% disagree. The only luck he got all game was the Shadow sword explosion AND HE DIDN'T EVEN ROLL THAT SIX! The number of times Nick brought back units, nailed his feel no pains, and rolled mortal wounds was absolutely nutty. Poor Tak got next to no charge rolls that mattered in the mid board and Omega objective, kept rolling low on his advances, and had to use a double re-roll to kill the shadow sword because he rolled DOUBLE ONES on damage.
For a guy planning on spending less time in front of the camera, I think Tak has been in more videos in the last three months than in the year before that. It's good to see! I like his style.
That was SO freakin' close! What an amazing game! I'm a new Genestealers player, so it really heartens me to see them give space marines a run for their money. ❤ But well fought in both directions, what a game!
Man. I've been joking about Tak's dice running hot lately, but there's a flip side. Great game. Lovely to see people who play the lore as well as the goals.
I’m so glad I watched this video as my brother got into GSC. Custodes and Chaplins for mortal feel no pains are vital. Also my goodness Nick is rolling like those dice are fire itself.
It did cap at 6 mortal wounds as per the stratagem limit but it was enough to wipe the remainder of that squad. Otherwise, that ability would be over powered. If you want to see some crazy mortal wounding check out this live stream ua-cam.com/users/livevKrIj0R8qpY?si=jBJ1GmS7jQLpadH6
I absolutely adore genestealer cultists. They are the army that are getting me into warhammer, so any time you guys put out a video with them fighting is a good day for me! I can't wait to see what happens!
Things I learned today: Genestealers have better unit rez than the techno-arcane hyper-advanced Necrons, who’s entire schtick is rezzing dudes in combat. Classic GW…
Things *I* Learned: Who would win, a Centuries old genetically enhanced certified badass clad in the heaviest most durable armor the declining empire he serves can give him, or the infeasibly alive, heavily mutated bastard child of a baseline human and one of the most common creatures made by the Tyranid Hive Fleets armed with only a Hammer and wearing only a Loincloth? The Answer, the one with the 4+ FNP.
Technically speaking like Guard its not a rez, but pulling in reinforcements. Also kind of depends how much the map and army composition lets their opponent hunt the blips. This one was pretty much an example of how oppressive it can be when the map and objectives let them hide the blips in safety and still be useful.
I'm usually a quite man and I don't really like the over excited ppl but for some reason, Nick makes me laugh so hard, he has a such a nice energy! keep it up man, great match for both.
I know it's Tau Nick, but he always seems so much more in his element when playing Genestealers. Formal petition to change his moniker to Genestealer Nick.
43:00 Nice Trogdorr reference! Dice gods were not with the white scars this day. They must have offended the Emperor in some way. Looks like Exterminatus is the only way. Great game though.
Man, it's really fun seeing the normally calm and reserved Tak get sucked into Nick's infectious excitement and giggle about explosions. Great game y'all
love nick. captures the childlike joy that many of us take in the fun scifi battles
Nick is a godsend of a man
Tak: I'm just gonna ignore the Shadowsword.
Also Tak: I'm just gonna Command re-roll to blow up the Shadowsword Turn 2.
Hey, that explosion did more work than the WS did that round.
A CP reroll he didn't need to make. Lancers cannon does 1d6 + 3 damage each. After the Lancer reroll it was 3+3+6+1= 13 when I went to school Nick, not 11.
There's something poetic in seeing Sanctus Nick being blown up by his own Shadowsword's explosion
Saturday Morning Villain style I daresay 😂
also just the entire deployment watching their chaplain getting fucking eviscerated in front of them. It's just so funny.
Aberrants being able to return is absolutely insane for the amount of damage they can dish out and soak up.
definitely op
@weelock721relax
wow haha... I think PlayOn is meant to be a slightly better community bro. Check that ok?
Let's go Mutants!!
@weelock721if you don't have anything nice to say, stay silent
The dice just absolutely hated Tak this game, brutal. Nick on the other hand annointed his dice in holy water.
Tak chose the wrong Emperor 👑
Tycho's intros.....omg.
This game is gonna be awesome if only for that reason.
He's pure entertainment.
As much as I love JT, Tycho really brings a whole new level of epic to the table with his narration
Outrageous rolls there at the end, on both sides of the table. GG
Oh my lord haha
I legitimately cheered when the Shadowsword not only got knocked out by a smaller tank, but ALSO blew up a goodly chunk of Nick's units; I also lost it at Tak's running streak of low rolls in that last round, those dice were out to get him! Thank you for such an amazing match, this was one of the best ones yet
Love seeing a shadowsword hit the field. Such a fun unit
It looked awesome. I had to check to see if the SM can ally it but alas they can't
Always happy to see a GSC match. Those free rez were so crucial this match, I can’t believe it came down to those charges.
ALL HAIL THE FOUR-ARMED EMPEROR!!!
Tyko calling me buttercup made my day.
3 3's in a row with a CP re-roll....well damn.
I don't play 40K, but I still love your battle reports. So beautifully produced! It's a pleasure to watch.
Damn, three three's in a row. Ouch. Been there, I feel your pain. Awesome match.
Nick: My heart is in my chest right now!
Me: I would certainly hope so Nick, that's where it's supposed to be.
One of the best battle reports you guys have posted recently, amazing work and amazing game guys!
Yeah!
This was a great battle. Love the GSC and that alpha-strike.
Man, those White Scars really pop from the battlefield, easy to see and love their simple but amazingly done color scheme - for the Cult it's a really nice and thematic rule to be able to use Guard vehicles, love it
Nick makes watching these games so fun
*I've been waiting 40 years for Tak to play for the White Scars.* 😅😅
His first game with White Scars was this one a couple months ago ua-cam.com/video/s6oDddxndVw/v-deo.htmlsi=QYzA9PHEQjUe0p17
19:05 - Let's just appreciate how crazy-good that tank shock roll was. 22 dice, looking for 5+ means that on average, you'll get between 7 and 8 mortals. He rolled 14.
Think it maxs at 6 mortal wounds
He could get 500 5+ and it still only does 6 MW anyway
While Nick played well, his luck (or tak's bad luck) was what saved him in the end :) GG was on the edge of my seat!
This format and these games are THE BEST 40K played games to watch without a doubt. Thank you!
Enjoyable game! Really good use of graphics to explain what's happening. Unlucky rolling in the end turn Tak.
This mission, terrain, deployment style and overall army composition was a treat to watch!
42:56 Burninating the peasants!
Burninating all the peoples
And their thatched-roof cottages!
Thatched-roof cottages!
That was AMAZING! WOW! Great game Nick and Tak! Great game!
An epic showdown! Was very excited to see some GSC again - glad to see Nick do the four-armed emperor proud! It was absolutely down to the wire!! A great video! Keep it up :D
I can't believe how unlucky Tak is. Luck's the only reason he lost and it still came really close. That's just frustrating.

@@joshuataylor5080 Sounds like you're agreeing with me rather than disagreeing. :)
@@Argumemnon sorry, my original comment was in reply to the guy above me. I agree with you 100%
@@joshuataylor5080 Gotcha. UA-cam's system sometimes makes it difficult to tell.
this was literally down to the wire . great job
The cult emerges once more to grace our eyes and ears. Praise the four-armed emperor for the day of ascension is at hand!
For a guy planning on spending less time in front of the camera, I think Tak has been in more videos in the last three months than in the year before that.
It's good to see! I like his style.
Wow, Nick's rolls was bonkers this game while Tak couldn't get a roll to save his life! Time to banish those dice to the shadow relm.
That triple 3 on the last 3 rolls of the game was actually infuriating and sad at the same time lol.
That was SO freakin' close! What an amazing game! I'm a new Genestealers player, so it really heartens me to see them give space marines a run for their money. ❤
But well fought in both directions, what a game!
Amazing as always team! What an episode! We need more White Scars!
This was my favourite battles ever. What a game, and Taks paint jobs are so cool!
This is one of the best played and closest battle reports I’ve seen yet
What a great game! Congrats Nick! Those dice told an incredible story
Best game from this channel ever. Beautiful terrain, awesome unit choices, nail biting action, and fun players to watch. Awesome
Glad you enjoy it!
I have decided that as much frustration it can be that GSC units don't automatically come back, it makes it all so much sweeter when they do.
That was amazing!! New favorite !
That was a great game. Big moments, tension down to the last moment, and having GSC.
This was super fun to watch, I've watched it twice.
One of the best games I've seen on this channel! LOVE IT!
I really love this channel, I hope you make more imperial fists videos in the future ❤️
That’s was a hell of a explosion for Nick lol. Laughed so hard. So sorry :):):).
Those turn 5 feel-no-pains, wtf! Dice so hot they were melting.
Great game! Truly showing the value of both tactics and dice rolling.
Nick's energy is so on point in this game!
I like seeing Nick win - also I like seeing Tak lose XD
really really close game. one of the most adrenaline finale since ..a long time. gj both!
That was a cool game. Thanks for all you guys do. I don’t have the time to play so this is how I enjoy the game. Thanks!
19:05 I'm sorry 15 mortals! 😲 That was the best roll we've seen in a long time! 🤣
Tak's rolls at the end were BRUTAL!! I feel for the guy XD
feel no pain feels OP after seeing Nick's rolls xd
I love the fact that it's TYKO doing the talking this time. Here's hoping this continues.
That game was crazy awesome, love to see it!!!
Fantastic game all around. The Genestealers feel so squirrely they are impossible to fully take down.
Classic GW…
Having to roll wounds equal to the model to rez is just stupid.
The Answer, the one with the 4+ FNP.
too be fair the flavor isnt that theyre reviving the dead like the necrons but theyre just bringing up reinforcements cause there's so many of them
Technically speaking like Guard its not a rez, but pulling in reinforcements. Also kind of depends how much the map and army composition lets their opponent hunt the blips. This one was pretty much an example of how oppressive it can be when the map and objectives let them hide the blips in safety and still be useful.
18:34 Moments like that just make me happy.
This episode was amazing, tha terrain was beautiful and the action too
Tycho won my heart with the "Trogdor" reference.... ♥
Great game! So close! Congrats to Nick for the win.
That ending was absolutely wild!!! Tak was glitched into the number 3.
Brilliant batrep, good job guys!!!
White Scars look beyond beautiful *chef kiss*
This may have been the most exciting game I watched
Another awesome battle report!!
White Scars! Yes! Let's go!
Nick is such a mood. Every episode, win or lose, he makes us winners with his presence.
Wow the rolls at the end were beyond believe bad for White Scars and insanely good for Cults.
I'm usually a quite man and I don't really like the over excited ppl but for some reason, Nick makes me laugh so hard, he has a such a nice energy! keep it up man, great match for both.
Those dice are rigged at the end, so much 3's xD
I just picked up GSC, was hoping you guys would play a game with them, and my Christmas wish came true
10:48 is Nick ok or is he laughing through some pain?:(
Great report with the big titan duels, resurrection and last turn nail biter
Whatever deity is in charge of controlling dice rolls for Tak absolutely hates him lmao.
YOUR BATREPS ARE THE BEST!! All dice betray.
Whitescars dreadnoughts wow that's rare
I know but the Brutalis seems like such a good White Scars unit
Subtle Trogdor reference. I see you, Tycho.
Tycho giving the "voice of tabletop" a run for his money with this one. Also need a shirtless Tycho game just fyi.
Extra points for the trogdor reference!
"Double ones."--Tak, the People's Champion
I like Tak's comp.
Wow those secondaries on Niks last turn 🤭
Fun game, great explosion. Small correction, Primus cannot get you coordinated attach as free Strat abilities require them to be single target strats
what are the ods of getting so many low rolls over like 5 dozen dice near the end
Amazing White Scars minis!
Tak coming in hot with the knife-hand
tak's low rolls crush my soul
I know it's Tau Nick, but he always seems so much more in his element when playing Genestealers. Formal petition to change his moniker to Genestealer Nick.
The irony of those Scars charge rolls!
43:00 Nice Trogdorr reference! Dice gods were not with the white scars this day. They must have offended the Emperor in some way. Looks like Exterminatus is the only way. Great game though.
This game was so close ! Incredible match
Ah yes, my favorite 57 minutes 40 minute battle report. :P
I'm starting to think Tak was fighting necrons disguised as bugs with all those revives lmao
