the camera work and editing on this is so good. I laughed out loud at some of those crash zooms and I loved the clever cutting between cameras. compliments the ultra fun energy of the band perfectly! :)
I love how the head of the floor Tom has multiple puncture holes taped, and the crash symbol looks like Swiss cheese haha The sudden mood shift to the "you killed him" breakdown had me thinking like, They're like the crazed descendants of the Manson family that would fit right into acid soaked Hippy Hollow in Austin, TX back in the 60s. Also, I had to backtrack a bit, because one minute I'm listening and watching every few glances/multitasking, and the next minute the drummer and the guitarist have switched places, and since I didn't see the song change on the screen, and because the second song seemed to be just another extension of the very first one they played, I thought my mind and eyes were playing tricks on me ha
Makes me think Beach Boys as well, mixed with The Mama's and the Papa's, with a proto punk/garage, 60s psychedelia sound. Like if the Manson family wandered off (without Charlie) and started a band in Haight Ashbury or 1960s Austin lol
balance of virtues and vibes in music is crucial these days. im assuming there is a solid message in this song but at least they seem to be happy well-fed musicians unlike myself
Awesome, unbelievably fresh and just generally wonderful- I LOVE YOU GUYS. (Also, what is that guitar? I want one, it's gorgeous!) Greetings from the UK.
it's a Danelectro U2, a reissue from the 50's, The best cheap guitars...they look, play and sound seriously great. the reissues are really quite good, i got mine for $120. used ten years ago, now they're up to $499 new, but worth their weight in tonal gold! Being Dead have impeccable taste!
Thank you! Every time I watch this video, I'm just staring at the headstock, thinking 'what ARE you?' Now I know, I can be frustrated by the fact that I know what I do not currently own. And you're right about their taste, everything about them is cool @@josephrigan2421
i found this band yesterday the human way and thank g-d I did but it was incredibly random: It was a rec in a reply to a comment about vocal harmonies on California Dreamin' .

When people try to describe music across all genres, they often say 'from Abba to Zappa'. This band took it too literally
